Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta Declares Thursday as First Day of Muharram 1447 AH

Mohamed Mandour
Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta announced Wednesday evening that the Islamic month of Muharram for the year 1447 AH will begin on Thursday, June 26, 2025, following the confirmed sighting of the crescent moon.
The announcement came after specialized legal and scientific committees deployed across the country observed the new moon after sunset on Wednesday, corresponding to the 29th of Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH (June 25, 2025). Based on the verified sighting, Dar Al-Ifta confirmed that Thursday marks the first day of the Islamic New Year.
On this occasion, Egypt's Grand Mufti, Professor Dr. Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, extended warm congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, wishing him continued health and success. He also offered greetings to the Egyptian people, as well as to the leaders and citizens of Arab and Islamic nations around the world.
Dar Al-Ifta prayed that the new year brings blessings, peace, and prosperity to Egypt and all Muslims globally.

Palestinian PM Arrives in Cairo to Discuss Gaza Ceasefire, Reconstruction Efforts

Nada Mustafa The media office of Palestinian Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mohammad Mustafa announced his arrival in Cairo to discuss halting the Israeli aggression on Gaza. He is scheduled to meet today with Egyptian PM Dr. Mostafa Madbouly during his official visit to Egypt, where talks will focus on ending the assault on Gaza and advancing reconstruction plans for the Strip. According to the statement, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa will also meet with Egyptian Foreign Minister (FM) Badr Abdelatty at the Cabinet headquarters to discuss the catastrophic humanitarian and medical situation in Gaza, as well as Egypt's ongoing efforts to achieve a ceasefire and secure the entry of humanitarian aid into the enclave. The media office further revealed that Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty will hold a joint press conference tomorrow, Monday, at the Rafah border crossing, following an inspection of the crossing facilities and warehouses designated for humanitarian and relief aid storage for Gaza. The visit will also include a tour of the field hospital operating in the area. Both sides are expected to discuss preparations for convening an international conference on Gaza's reconstruction once the aggression ends, while updating joint plans to ensure rapid humanitarian response, economic recovery, and rebuilding efforts that would thwart any displacement schemes. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

OIC Condemns the Israeli Occupation's Violations against Orthodox Patriarchate in Al-Qud

Mohamed Mandour The General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemns the Israeli occupation authorities' recent decision to freeze the bank accounts of the Orthodox Patriarchate in occupied Al-Quds and impose steep taxes on its properties. This action is viewed as part of a broader pattern of assaults on both Islamic and Christian sacred sites, constituting a blatant violation of United Nations and UNESCO resolutions, as well as other pertinent international agreements. The OIC underscores the alarming implications of the ongoing targeting of holy sites by Israeli forces, which includes acts of bombing, arson, the imposition of unlawful taxes, and restrictions on access. Such measures represent an unacceptable effort to erase the historical, religious, and cultural identity of occupied Al-Quds while undermining the genuine Christian presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory. Furthermore, the OIC reaffirms its call to the international community for immediate intervention to address the Israeli occupation's violations against religious sites in Palestine. It emphasizes the necessity of preserving these sites' cultural identity and their historical and legal standing as integral to the universal human, religious, and civilizational heritage that must remain protected from infringements. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
