In another angle, Mixon and his sister's boyfriend, Lamonte Brewer, are seen in the backyard with real guns in their hands.

Later, Brewer could be seen firing the gun, shooting a 16-year-old in the leg.

In an interview with investigators, Mixon said he was holding a weapon because his sister told him there were people outside with guns.

'She runs in screaming, telling the kids to get into the room and lock the door,' Mixon said, per FOX19 News in Cincinnati.
He added he was 'scared' after recently receiving threats stemming from a recent arrest.

'At one point, I was getting a lot of death threats and getting a lot of bomb threats on my home.'
The teenager, who suffered minor injuries, said he went into 'freak-out mode' after bullets suddenly flew toward him.
'I am running, feel something hit my foot. I hide behind a tree. I'm crunched down. I'm in a fetal position almost. I call my mom. I'm like, 'Is the front door unlocked?'' he said.

'…It's really frantic at first. I'm holding my foot because it's hurt, and I'm using words like shot and guns, and my brother's all like – it's just very frantic,' the teen added.
In February, Brewer, a convicted felon, pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Mixon, who was with the Bengals at the time and now plays for the Texans, has not been charged in the case, but is being sued by the legal guardians of the teenager.

Juvenile arrested, another sought in car theft, police chase
A local juvenile has been arrested, and another is currently wanted, following the theft of a car from a parking lot and a subsequent police chase in Jennings. According to the Jennings Police Department, the incident began on Monday when Walmart employees reported two juveniles running through the aisles with Nerf guns, with one dart hitting a customer. The suspects fled before officers arrived, and one of their mothers informed police her son had skipped school and she didn't know his whereabouts after he was kicked out of the store. About two hours later, a stolen vehicle report came from the Walmart parking lot, and the same juveniles were identified as suspects. The vehicle was later spotted near Fire Station 2 on La. 26. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspects fled, leading Jennings police and Jeff Davis sheriff's deputies on a chase toward Lake Arthur, where the vehicle was lost from sight. Early Tuesday morning, one of the suspects' mothers called police, stating she was on the phone with her son, who was at Marcus Cain Park in Jennings. Officers responded and located the juvenile and the stolen car. The boy was arrested, returned to his mother, and issued citations for theft of a motor vehicle and being an unruly and ungovernable juvenile. The other juvenile has not yet been apprehended, and officers are continuing their investigation, according to the Jennings Police Department.

Seventh Cincinnati assault suspect arrested over violent beatdown
A seventh suspect has been arrested for his alleged role in the brutal downtown Cincinnati beatdown that left six people injured in late-July. Gregory Wright, 32, is charged with alleged aggravated riot and aggravated assault, according to the Hamilton County Jail. Wright was booked into jail at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Monday, jail records show. He was set to make his first court appearance at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Police allege Wright "did by force rip the necklace off the victim while he was being assaulted by four or more co-defendants attempting to cause serious physical harm," according to a criminal complaint obtained by Fox 19. Wright allegedly snatched the victim's necklace during the beating before proceeding "to film the rest of the events," the outlet reported. Wright is the seventh arrest to stem from the violent assault that broke out in the early morning hours of July 26 on the corner of Fourth and Elm streets, and captured the nation's attention after footage of the attack went viral. Last week, the first six defendants were indicted by a grand jury for their alleged roles in the beatdown. Patrick Rosemond, 38, Jermaine Matthews, 39, Montianez Merriweather, 34, DeKyra Vernon, 24, Dominique Kittle, 37, and Aisha Devaughn, 25, are each charged with three counts of alleged felonious assault, three charges of assault and two charges of aggravated rioting, the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office confirmed to Fox News Digital. "What I saw on video is not the Cincinnati I know and love," Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich said. "These charges hold those involved in the attack accountable." The Cincinnati Police Department and Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Embattled Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge was being sued by four high-ranking officers claiming she discriminated against white lieutenants while doling out promotions and assignments using a 'race-based quota system.' The lawsuit, filed in May, resurfaced as Theetge faces scrutiny amid her department's investigation into the high-profile vicious street beatdown of a defenseless white woman in the Ohio city last weekend. Capt. Robert Wilson and Lieutenants Patrick Caton, Gerald Hodges and Andrew Mitchell claimed in the suit that the police chief bypassed them for positions they deserved — and instead gave minority and female lieutenants preferential treatment, Newsweek reported. 'These assignments, which offer significant professional and financial benefits, have been disproportionately awarded to non-white and/or female officers, often disregarding merit, qualifications, or legitimate business needs,' the lawsuit claimed, local Fox19 reported. 'The only way to destroy that street violence is to take the thugs who engaged in that violence and throw their ass in prison.' He further stated that police officers in Ohio needed to be more emboldened to address crime. A Russian woman identified as 'Holly' was sucker-punched by a man in the disturbing attack that elicited 'ooos' from a crowd of onlookers, some of whom filmed on their phones instead of coming to her aid. When one man did come to her aid, he was savagely beaten, too. Only one person at the scene called 911 during the brutal episode. A fourth person, Dominique Kittle, 37, was arrested in connection to the attack on Friday, nearly a week after the shocking incident. Three other alleged attackers — Jermaine Matthews, 39; Montianez Merriweather, 34; and Dekyra Vernon, 24 — were arrested earlier last week. Two more suspects, who have not been publicly identified, are being tracked down by a fugitive task force, authorities said.
