On the professional front, Aishwarya has been away from the big screen since Mani Ratnam's 2023 film Ponniyin Selvan: II. Abhishek most recently appeared in Remo D'Souza's Be Happy. Earlier, in an interaction with The Hindu, Abhishek spoke about how Aishwarya staying home with their daughter enabled him to take on more projects.
He said, 'In my household, I'm lucky I get to go out and make movies, but I know that Aishwarya is at home with Aaradhya and I thank her immensely for that. But I don't think the kids look at it that way. They don't look at you as a third person—they look at you as the first person.'

Sonali Bendre on disappointment with Duplicate: Grey role became one-dimensional

Actor Sonali Bendre Behl, in a recent interview, shared her disappointment with the film 'Duplicate', in which she starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. She revealed that she found her role in the film to be very one-dimensional. She also recalled working with Salman Khan in 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'.In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sonali Bendre talked about her experience in 'Duplicate'. She said, "It was a film that a lot of people talk about. But this is one of those films that really helped shape the way I wanted my character to be. The idea was to have beautiful grey shades in this character, but it kind of started becoming very one-dimensional. I think it became more of a secondary character when I got onto it.'advertisementShe added, 'When I did 'Zakhm', I knew it wasn't the main character, I knew Pooja had that role. But it was a beautiful story with Bhatt Sahab, and I just wanted to be a part of it, so I did it. But when 'Duplicate' was concerned, I was supposed to have had an equal amount. And at that point, it started to feel like it wasn't the same kind of role anymore. So at that time, I did start to feel like I wasn't getting my due. But I think eventually, it all evened out, and I did get my due. In the same interview, upon seeing an old photo from the sets of 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' featuring Salman Khan, she laughed and remarked, "Am I not pouring tea or milk here?"advertisementShe also talked about how Salman used to make faces and tease her while she was giving close-up shots. "We were fighting all the time. I should ask Salman about it then. Because whenever I was giving close-ups, Salman would be making faces at me. And I would get so pissed off that I would say, 'What the hell?', she also shared how difficult it was to shoot in the heavy golden ghagra she wore in the film. 'It weighed around 20 kilos and had heavy zari work, the fake jewellery I wore gave me allergies and rashes everywhere. To take a turn in that ghagra itself took 4 beats more,' she the work front, Sonali Bendre was last seen in a small role in Remo D'Souza's film 'Be Happy'. She made her OTT debut in 2022 with the web series 'The Broken News'. The show was loved by the audience and came back with a second season last Reel

Virat Kohli's Restaurant Booked Again, This Time For Smoking Zone Violation

Last Updated: Virat Kohli's restaurant One8 Commune has landed in legal trouble again, this time for not providing a separate smoking area, violating anti-tobacco laws. Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli has found himself at the center of a legal controversy—this time not for his on-field actions, but for alleged violations at his Bengaluru-based restaurant, One8 Commune. The popular establishment has been booked by the Cubbon Park Police for failing to comply with norms under the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA), specifically for not maintaining a designated smoking area. According to a report by The Hindu, the police registered a suo motu case against One8 Commune as part of a broader crackdown on public spaces flouting anti-smoking rules. Over the past few days, police teams conducted surprise inspections at several bars and restaurants around the city. One8 Commune—located on Kasturba Road, just 200 meters from the police station—was among five establishments found in violation. The management and staff have been booked under Sections 4 and 21 of COTPA, which mandate that hotels, restaurants, and airports must have separate smoking zones for patrons. The absence of such a provision at One8 Commune reportedly prompted swift police action. This incident is a part of a wider effort by the authorities to enforce public health regulations more stringently across Bengaluru's hospitality sector. Notably, this isn't the first time Kohli's restaurant has landed in legal trouble. In July 2024, the same police station filed a case against One8 Commune and two other outlets for operating beyond the legally permitted hours. Even as his restaurant faces scrutiny, Virat Kohli continues to remain in the public spotlight. Just days ago, he was seen at the Chandigarh airport with wife and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma. A candid video of their playful banter went viral, showing Kohli breaking into laughter mid-conversation, his reaction hidden behind a hand—prompting smiles from fans across the internet. The couple, known for their deeply spiritual side, have also been on two recent religious retreats. They first visited Vrindavan to meet Premanand Ji Maharaj and later offered prayers at Ayodhya's Hanuman Garhi temple. Photos and videos from both visits were widely shared online, winning hearts for their serene and grounded vibe. Married since 2018, Anushka and Virat are proud parents to two children—daughter Vamika and son Akaay. While the duo often make headlines for their professional achievements and family life, this latest legal tangle brings unexpected attention to Kohli's off-field ventures. Whether One8 Commune resolves this issue swiftly or not, all eyes will be on how the star cricketer navigates yet another off-pitch challenge. First Published: June 02, 2025, 17:04 IST
