Ektaa Kapoor's 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' is set to return with a second season, bringing back two of its iconic characters, Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay.. Several original cast members are reprising their roles nearly 17 years after the first season ended. Amar, who returns as Mihir Virani, recently shared how the show's premiere has been delayed. It looks like fans of the iconic show will have to wait for some time to witness their favourite stars returning in the second season. According to a source quoted by Hindustan Times, the highly anticipated premiere, originally scheduled for July 3, 2025, has been delayed due to ongoing changes to the set.advertisementAmar Upadhayay confirmed the development to the entertainment portal and explained the reason. 'Yes, it's true. The set had to be reworked. Apparently, the colour combination on the screen wasn't translating the way it should. Ektaa knows exactly what she wants, she's a perfectionist. And this is Kyunki It's not just another show. It's a legacy and she wants to do everything what's best for the show,' he said.
Although the show's premiere has been pushed beyond July 3, 2025, which marks the 25th anniversary of the original 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi', filming is set to begin on that very date. The actor shared, 'The mahurat shoot will happen on the 25th anniversary of the original launch. Honestly, it feels symbolic. Starting again on the same date is like coming full circle. The nostalgia is real, but this time we're returning with fresh energy, modern storytelling, and a meticulously designed set.'Regarded as one of the most successful shows on Indian television, the show revolved around the ideal daughter-in-law Tulsi Virani (played by Smriti Irani), her relationship with her husband Mihir Virani (played by Amar Upadhyay) and their kids. The show aired from 2000 to 2008 on television and remained number 1 on the ratings charts for seven years.- Ends

'There's a lot being said about me, most of you don't know the full story. If ...,' says Soham Parekh, the techie accused of working for multiple companies simultaneously

Doshi claimed that Parekh, who holds a Master's degree in computer science from Georgia Tech and a Bachelor's from the University of Mumbai, was secretly employed at three to four startups at once, targeting Y Combinator-backed companies. Doshi revealed that Parekh briefly worked at his company, Playground AI, but was terminated within a week after his alleged duplicity was uncovered. But building is the only thing I've ever truly known, and it's what I'll keep doing," he wrote. Parekh claimed he has faced isolation and rejection from companies and peers but announced he had signed an exclusive deal as a founding engineer with a single company in the video AI space, set to launch later this month.
