In October 2024, the Pohlad family announced it would explore selling the team but announced Wednesday 'our family will remain the principal owner of the Minnesota Twins.'
'Over the past several months, we explored a wide range of potential investment and ownership opportunities. Our focus throughout has been on what's best for the long-term future of the Twins. 'We have been fully open to all possibilities,' the family said in a statement.
'This ownership group is committed to building a winning team and culture for this region, one that Twins fans are proud to cheer for,' the family statement said.
The Pohlad family said in its statement that it was in the process of adding two significant limited partnership groups as investors.
The Twins are 56-63 and traded away 11 players before the trade deadline.

The Boston Celtics will look extremely weird next season

The Boston Celtics will look extremely weird next season after the team's front office dealt away much of the Celtics' 2024 title core at the start of the 2025 NBA offseason. The Celtics decided to trade veterans Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis to lower the cap hit on the roster, let key backup big man Luke Kornet walk to the San Antonio Spurs in free agency, moved on from fan favorite forward Al Horford, and cut 2025 G League Most Valuable Player JD Davison to get under the league's dreaded second apron. All told, this will leave the Celtics with a roster including new draftees Hugo Gonzalez, Amari Williams, and Max Shulga, new signees Chris Boucher, Luka Garza and Josh Minott, and recently-traded-for Anfernee Simons with the remaining Celtics from last season. The Celtics will have a very different look by default, and not all of it will be aimed at winning in the present. The folks behind the "Sly Kai" YouTube channel put together a clip looking at Boston's new roster for the coming 2025-26 regular season. Check it out below!
