Matt Rye, Sky 's Director of Product Management, has shared some of the often forgotten tips and hacks with The Sun.
These tricks apply specifically to Sky Glass and Sky Stream, the company's newer TV services that rely on a broadband connection instead of the traditional satellite dish.
Hit play on the video above to see them all in action and read our handy summaries below.
Faster TV Guide
Too often people can waste time endlessly scrolling through the TV guide.
But there are plenty of ways to find what you want much faster.
Firstly, you can search the TV guide up to seven days in advance without constantly tapping on the right button knackering your thumb out.
Instead, just hold down the right button and it will skip by day.
Want to go back to the last channel you were on without having to key in the channel number or find it through the TV guide again?
Well, you can from the home page, simply by going to the top rail and scrolling to the left.
"Another thing you might not know is that if you're in the TV guide, a quick press of the circle button will play whatever you select," Matt explains.
"But long press, it will take you to the show page where you can see all the episodes available on demand to watch live or restart the show."
Playlists are the new recordings
You will no doubt be familiar with recordings on other satellite-based boxes like Sky Q.
But the main limitation with that is storage space.
On Sky Glass and Sky Stream there are no storage limits as it's all in the cloud.
All recordings and favourite shows are saved to the cloud so you don't need to delete anything that you've watched to get more space.
"You don't need to worry about storage or recording clashes with Playlists," Matt explains.
"When you add a show to your Playlist, every episode past, present and future gets automatically added, making it a breeze to catch up in one place."
If you've seen something you like, you can add it to your Playlist using the plus button on the remote control.
What's handy too is that your Playlist page will populate all the streaming apps where you can find that show in one tidy place.
For example, Law and Order Special Victims Unit, can be found on several - 5, Sky and Netflix - so the page will give you the option of where you want to watch it.
As well as following shows, you can even add your favourite actors to your playlist.
This way you can easily find and watch all the movies and TV shows that they've been in whenever you want.
You can set up individual Playlist spaces too, so all your favourite shows aren't muddled with your other half's or the kids.
Trick for the night owls
If you love watching late night TV while the rest of the family sleeps there's always the risk you could wake someone up with a loud action movie bang.
Fortunately, there's a night mode to save you from trouble.
Just press the three dots button on your remote control to bring up the menu and press select.
Lock apps from kids
You've always been able to PIN protect channels to stop kids watching grown up shows.
But there's also a way to lock apps too.

But news of the King's fondness of racing comes after it emerged the 76-year-old will not appear on horseback at Trooping the Colour tomorrow. Lydia shared the news during an appearance on What's The Reality? podcast on June 11. She said: 'It wasn't one thing. It was a layer of situations and things that kept piling up. When I told him, 'Hey, I'll let you know when the divorce papers are ready,' his response was, 'I'm not going to sign the papers unless there's an NDA.' 'I've been quiet for too long. I needed to share my thoughts and my experience because what I've been suffering in silence has been too much for me to be quiet and keep quiet.' The reality star explained that their relationship had been 'non-existent' since March. 'At the beginning, everything was beautiful,' Lydia said, adding: 'Everything was perfect. It was a fairy tale, and he showed me the kind of love that I've never received before. He loved me for who I was.' But she went on to allege that their first row came after he refused to stop speaking to his ex-girlfriend. Lydia also alleged that, during their relationship, women had accused Milton of 'heavily flirting,' and 'buying drinks' for other women. She said he 'flipped it' on her when she confronted him, but claimed she'd been sent 'proof' from women on social media. Love is Blind UK couple reveal they're expecting their first child together a year after meeting on show Lydia also alleges that when she asked for a divorce in March, Milton said to her: 'You're too f****** stupid and an untrustworthy person,' and has 'given her the silent treatment' since then. Despite it all, Lydia says she 'still loves' Milton, and added: 'I cannot keep being in a place where I'm not wanted. I'm trying to put back the pieces that he broke.' She said they'd attempted couples therapy but added that it hadn't worked to help their relationship. Another problem occurred with the fact that Milton felt "disrespected" by Lydia posting swimwear photos. Lydia claims that she gave Milton an ultimatum saying she'd stop posting swimwear snaps, if he stopped liking photos of girls in bikinis. 'I stopped and he didn't,' she said, adding: 'What stopped was him engaging with my posts." The Sun's has contacted Milton's representative for comment. Lydia went on to say that she thinks their romance lacked 'emotional availability, maturity, support and communication.' But she says Milton will always be a special person in her story, despite their split. Lydia and Milton left Love Is Blind as a married couple, after meeting and getting engaged in the pods. They did have to navigate distance early on in the marriage, with Lydia living in Houston while Milton was based in Long Beach, Calif. But they ended up moving in together, and decided to coordinate schedules to make their marriage work, amongst the business of it all. Milton said just last year: 'That's our big thing. We share calendars and plan things that way. 'It is a challenge, but it's literally taught us how to really get organized because if we don't get organized, it just gets too complicated." Things seemed to be going from strength to strength for the couple. Lydia planned a getaway to Fredericksburg to celebrate their second anniversary, and she raved about her husband last year, in a sweet Instagram post. She said at the time: 'My love, watching you tirelessly pursue your academic dreams while managing a grueling 55-60 hour work week fills me with immense pride. Your dedication and resilience inspire me daily. 'You always provide a sanctuary in your arms, offering comfort even when your own reserves are low. 'Our marriage isn't flawless, but with you, it feels magical. You have an effortless way of showing up for me, piecing me back together when I need it the most.' Lydia continued: 'You're more than my partner; you're my soulmate, my steadfast companion in this crazy life. Every wrong turn I took before led me straight to you, and for that, I'm eternally grateful. I appreciate you more than words can express. I love you beyond the beyond!"
