The visit underscored the strong and growing partnership between the United States and Qatar in the field of security cooperation. During their stay, the FBI delegation engaged with Qatari counterparts to exchange best practices, assess key legacy systems from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and strengthen technical cooperation to ensure safe and secure global sporting events. The programme included site visits to Lusail Stadium, the National Command Center (NCC), the Tournament Command Center (TCC), and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy headquarters. The delegation also observed a live anti-drone scenario demonstration. A highlight of the visit was a technical briefing on QSSIO — Qatar's advanced real-time intelligence-sharing platform, and its integration within event-time decision-making workflows. This visit was part of the broader strategic partnership between the United States and Qatar to advance global safety, stability, and cooperation through dialogue, innovation, and joint capacity-building.

Qatar paddlers excel at WTT Youth Contender in Amman
Tribune News Network Doha Qatar's table tennis team delivered an impressive performance at the WTT Youth Contender Championship held in Amman, adding a new achievement to the nation's growing success in international table tennis. Qatar players secured a total of seven medals: one gold, three silver and three bronze. Rasha Laghribi stood out with a gold medal in the U-11 category and a bronze in the U-13, showcasing her remarkable talent across age groups. Alia Albaz claimed silver in the U-11 category, while Serena Shaikh earned silver in the U-13 category. Abdulaziz Al Abdullah added another silver for Qatar in the U-15 competition. Bronze medals were won by Rabia Al Kuwari (U11), Ruqayya Al Baz (U15), and Mubarak Marzouq (U11), rounding off a strong showing by the team.
