Starvation Claims More Lives in Gaza Amid Fierce Israeli Attacks on Gaza City

Morocco World8 hours ago
Rabat – Gaza's Health Ministry said on Wednesday that three Palestinians have died from hunger, while at least 56 others, including 22 people seeking aid, were killed in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours. Another 185 people were injured.
The ministry added that two more bodies were recovered from the rubble of earlier strikes. Since Israel's genocide on Gaza began on October 7, 2023, at least 62,122 Palestinians have been killed and 156,758 injured.
Hunger is also worsening. The ministry said the total number of deaths caused by starvation has now reached 269, including 112 children.
Since May 27, when Israel introduced a new supposed 'aid' distribution system through the US-based GHF, 2,018 aid seekers have been killed and nearly 15,000 injured while trying to get assistance.
Meanwhile, reporters on the ground say Israeli attacks are growing more intense, especially in Gaza City.
Residential areas are being hit heavily, and tanks and armoured vehicles are pushing into the Zeitoun neighbourhood, Al Jazeera reported. In northern Gaza's Jabalia, Israeli forces are demolishing what remains of homes and infrastructure, which could trap civilians inside Gaza City.
Families are desperately trying to escape. Many people from Zeitoun and Sabra are moving west, but those areas are already overcrowded and lack clean water and food. Others risk fleeing south, but those areas are also being bombed and have very few resources.
The humanitarian situation continues to worsen, with people running out of safe places to shelter, food to eat, and water to drink.
The escalating aggression comes after Israel announced its intentions to illegally occupy Gaza City, a plan that has garnered international condemnation.
Meanwhile, as the Israeli blockade continues, Gazans continue to starve to death, with a lack of access to basic necessities like food, water, and medical supplies. Tags: GazaIsraelstarvation

Four More Palestinians Starve to Death Amid Israel's Relentless War on Gaza

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) are continuing their unrelenting genocide on Gaza, killing more civilians by the day and deepening the deliberate humanitarian nightmare. Gaza's Health Ministry confirmed that four more Palestinians died from hunger in the past 24 hours, pushing the number of starvation victims since the start of Israel's war on Gaza to 239. Among them are 106 children. Since dawn, IOF strikes have killed at least 23 Palestinians, including 10 who were simply trying to collect desperately needed food aid. The attacks targeted Gaza City and an aid distribution point near Rafah in southern Gaza. Aid barely enters the besieged enclave, and when it does, it immediately turns into a bloodbath. Natasha Davies, a nursing activity manager with Doctors Without Borders (MSF), told Al Jazeera that the trickle of supplies is 'a drop in the ocean.' She said that aid distribution points as 'slaughter masquerading as aid,' where vulnerable Palestinians are met with IOF gunfire and bombs. The genocide is also taking its toll at multiple other levels. UN experts accuse Israel of carrying out 'medicide,' the systematic destruction of Gaza's health system, the senseless killing of doctors and nurses, and the starvation of the sick and wounded. Hospitals lie in ruins, medical convoys face IOF attacks, and patients die waiting for care that never comes. Gaza's Health Ministry reports that Israel's war has killed at least 61,722 Palestinians and wounded 154,525 more. The genocide in Gaza grows more brutal with each passing day, with the IOF showing no restraint in their killings of civilians and those trying to report the truth. In one recent atrocity, IOF forces targeted a tent outside Gaza's Al Shifa hospital, obliterating the lives of six journalists, five of them working for Al Jazeera. More Palestinians Die of Hunger in Gaza Due to Israeli Blockade

Rabat – Gaza's Health Ministry has said that five people, including two children, died from famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of hunger-related deaths in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to 227, including 103 children. Among the victims was a six-year-old boy, Jamal Fadi al-Najjar, who died from a hunger-related illness in the southern city of Khan Younis, according to the Nasser Medical Complex. The Health Ministry also confirmed the death of 30-year-old Wissam Abu Mohsen from malnutrition, as reported by Nasser Hospital. His death was announced shortly after the ministry's latest figures on famine-related casualties. This makes him the sixth victim to die from malnutrition in the past 24 hours. Also in Khan Younis, at least five people were killed in an Israeli air strike on a tent sheltering civilians in the al-Mawasi area. Israeli attacks also hit Gaza City, where the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have said they plan to take control. At least four people were killed and others wounded in an air strike on an apartment in the al-Sahaba area. In other parts of Gaza City, heavy bombardment struck several homes. Four people were killed in a strike on the al-Nadeem family home, with several others still missing. A young girl was rescued from the rubble. Three people were killed in a strike on the al-Hasari family home near al-Faruq Mosque, and about 20 people remain trapped under debris. Meanwhile, one person was killed in a strike on the Salmi family home, west of the University College area, with more people still missing. At least three people, including a child, were killed in another air strike in the Sabra neighbourhood of Gaza City, according to a local emergency worker. In total, Israel killed at least 89 Palestinians, including 31 aid seekers, in the last 24 hours. Despite global condemnation, the IOF continues its blockade on Gaza, preventing hundreds of aid trucks from entering the genocide-torn strip.
