Success Story: Roshan Kumar Bhaskar, son of a crane operator, cleared JEE Advanced 2025 without coaching now aspires to study electronics at IIT Guwahati. In a remarkable display of determination and perseverance, Roshan Kumar Bhaskar, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya located in Sector-4, Bokaro, has cleared the JEE Advanced 2025 exam with flying colours. He secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 650 in the Scheduled Caste (SC) category and ranked 21,789 in the Common Rank List (CRL). Roshan hails from a modest background. His father, Manoj Kumar, works as a crane operator, while his mother, Baby Devi, is a homemaker. Despite limited financial means, Roshan remained focused on his academic goals, driven by an unyielding will to succeed. He had earlier scored an impressive 92% in his CBSE Class 12 exams and secured 98.06 percentile in JEE Main 2025. A Comeback Fueled By Disappointment Speaking to Local18, Roshan revealed that he faced a major setback last year when he couldn't achieve the expected score in JEE Advanced. 'I was deeply disappointed, but I didn't give up. I gathered myself and decided to work twice as hard," he said. His renewed efforts bore fruit this year. Roshan aspires to become an electronics engineer and has set his sights on IIT Guwahati. 'It's my dream institution. I hope to pursue electronics engineering there and make a meaningful contribution to the field," he shared. Roshan began preparing for JEE from Class 11 and maintained a rigorous study schedule, clocking nearly 10 hours of daily preparation. He credits his success to the unwavering support of his parents and the guidance of his schoolteachers. 'With the right mentorship and consistent effort, no goal is out of reach," he said. Roshan's parents are overwhelmed with pride. 'We are extremely proud of his achievement. Despite all odds, he has shown what hard work can accomplish. We hope he continues to excel and brings greater honour to our family and the city," said his father, Manoj Kumar. Guntur bags national award as Super Swachh League City under Swachh Bharat Mission
GUNTUR: The Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) has secured a national award under the Super Swachh League Cities 2024–25 as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. President Droupadi Murmu presented the award at the Swachh Survekshan 2024–25 ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday. Municipal Administration and Urban development (MAUD) Minister Narayana, Swachh Andhra Corporation Chairman K Pattabhiram, and Guntur Mayor Kovelamudi Ravindra received the award on behalf of the city. Mayor Ravindra and GMC Commissioner Puli Srinivasulu congratulated Guntur's health workers, officials, elected representatives, and residents for their collective role in achieving the recognition, which they termed as a proud moment for the corporation. To commemorate Swachh Bharat Mission's 10th anniversary, the Union government identified 23 cities with sustained high performance as Super Swachh League Cities. Guntur stood out among cities with populations between 3 and 10 lakh. They noted that Guntur earned a 5-star rating and ODF++ (Open Defecation Free Plus Plus) status. Inspired by this recognition, the GMC will intensify efforts in source-level waste segregation, enforce the ban on single-use plastics, and expand public awareness campaigns.

IIT-Kanpur releases JEE Advanced 2025 scorecard at jeeadv.ac.in
The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur today released the JEE Advanced 2025 scorecards at July 17, 2025, on the official candidate portal of The candidates can access the scorecard using their login credentials. The scorecards include detailed subject-wise marks, total scores out of 360, qualifying status, and category-wise. This year, the All India Rank (AIR) 1 was bagged by Rajit Gupta (IIT Delhi zone), who scored 332/360. Devdutta Majhi emerged as the top female scorer.
