Sunway Lagoon unveils M'sia first hybrid water coaster
Located within Sunway Lost Lagoon, one of Sunway Lagoon's seven unique experiences, the Wild Chase Water Coaster was developed with an investment of RM30 million. Guests will speed through over 280m of winding track, navigating high-banked curves, sudden drops and exhilarating water sprays, all set against a lush, tropical backdrop.
Selangor Local Government, Tourism and New Village Development executive councillor Datuk Ng Suee Lim flags off the first ride of the Wild Chase Water Coaster.
The ride is now open daily from 10am to 6pm. It is closed every Tuesday, except during Malaysian school and public holidays.
Sunway Lagoon is a multi-park destination that spans 88 acres in Sunway City. The theme park features seven unique experiences: Water Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, X Park, Scream Park, Sunway Lost Lagoon and Sunway Lagoon Night Park, home to Captain Quack Land.

"Treasured for its mottled foliage and striking green or burgundy blooms, it reflects the richness of Malaysia's botanical heritage. "Equally precious are the traditional crafts and artefacts sourced by the Malaysian High Commission from across the country, which add cultural depth to this display,' he said at the launch on Friday. High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, Datuk Dr Azfar Mohamad Mustafar, said the event commemorates the strong and enduring relationship between the two neighbouring countries, which have stood side by side through times of change and challenge. "Our cooperation extends from trade and infrastructure to security, tourism, education, and environmental sustainability. Our shared vision must be one of enduring friendship, mutual prosperity, and a brighter future for all our people,' he said. Johor tourism nears 90% readiness for Visit Johor Year 2026
ISKANDAR PUTERI: Johor's tourism infrastructure and products are nearly 90 per cent complete as the state prepares for Visit Johor Year 2026 (VJY2026). Tourism Johor director Mohammad Nazrul Abd Rahim said large-scale promotions target 12 million visitors through key entry points like airports and land borders. Marketing efforts include social media, influencer partnerships, and mainstream media to highlight Johor's attractions. 'After 13 years since the last Visit Johor Year, now is the ideal time to revive the campaign,' Nazrul said at the VJY2026 sticker launch at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium. Upgrades feature a new night experience at Johor Zoo and the reopening of eco-tourism sites such as Gunung Ledang Waterfall. Nazrul called the event the start of an inclusive promotion to position Johor as a top Malaysian travel destination. Over 10,000 VJY2026 stickers will be placed on public transport, including trishaws, tour buses, and e-hailing vehicles.
