Cameroon's Choupo-Moting scores twice to rally Red Bulls past Revolution - Africa
Leo Campana notched his fifth goal of the season five minutes into the match, scoring unassisted to give New England (6-9-7) the lead. Luca Langoni hit the left post, but the shot bounced off Red Bulls defender Omar Valencia and into the net for an own goal and a 2-0 lead in the 30th minute that carried through halftime.
The Red Bulls (9-8-6) cut it to 2-1 when 22-year-old midfielder Daniel Edelman scored his first goal this season and his third in 87 career appearances — unassisted in the 56th minute. Edelman ignited the second five-goal half in Red Bulls history.
Choupo-Moting scored the equalizer in the 70th minute with assists from Forsberg and 20-year midfielder Ronald Donkor. Forsberg made it 3-2 in the 72nd with an assist from 21-year-old forward Dennis Gjengaar — his first this season.
Choupo-Moting — in his first season in the league — added his 13th goal in the 83rd minute on another assist from Donkor, who has three this season. Forsberg used a penalty kick to score his ninth goal of the season for a 5-2 lead in the 88th.
Campana capped the scoring in the third minute of stoppage time with his sixth goal.
Carlos Coronel finished with five saves for the Red Bulls.
Aljaz Ivacic stopped four shots for the Revolution.
New England beat the visiting Red Bulls 2-1 in March behind two goals from Carles Gil.
The Red Bulls had played four of their last five matches on the road and gone 0-2-3 before extending their unbeaten streak at home to six.
New England has gone 0-5-2 since the start of June.
The Revolution return home to play Orlando City on Saturday. The Red Bulls will host Inter Miami on Saturday.

Villarreal says season-ticket holders can travel to Miami for free to league game against Barcelona - World
Villarreal is promising travel and tickets for free for season-ticket holders if its Spanish league match against Barcelona is played in Miami in December. The club said Tuesday that those who don't want to go, or can't go, will get a 20% discount on their season tickets. The Spanish soccer federation on Monday approved a request for the match to be played in the United States on Dec. 20. UEFA and FIFA now have to approve the request before it can be made official. 'We would be the first (Spanish) team to play a league match abroad,' Villarreal president Fernando Roig told a news conference. 'It would greatly help us expand our brand in a key market like the United States.' Staging a match abroad has long been part of the league's goal to promote soccer and its brand in other countries. It first tried to stage a match in the U.S. in 2018, with a game between Barcelona and Girona, but the idea was dismissed after criticism from players, fans and clubs. Palace claim sporting merit 'meaningless' after Europa League demotion - World
Premier League side Crystal Palace said on Tuesday that sporting merit had been "rendered meaningless" by UEFA's decision to demote them from the Europa League. The FA Cup winners have been forced to play in this season's Conference League after European football's governing body UEFA ruled in July that American businessman John Textor had control or influence at both Palace and French club Lyon. Palace tried to have the punishment overturned, but on Monday the Lausanne-based Court of Arbitration for Sport announced the Premier League club had lost their appeal. Nottingham Forest are set to take Palace's spot in the Europa League. Palace chairman Steve Parish had already been vocal in his criticism after the initial demotion and, with their fate sealed, the south London club again blasted the decision. "At a time when we should be celebrating our victory in the Community Shield at Wembley, the decision by UEFA and followed by the Court of Arbitration for Sport shows that sporting merit is rendered meaningless," Palace said in a statement. "When we won the FA Cup against Manchester City on that momentous day in May, our manager and players earned the right to play Europa League football. "We have been denied that opportunity. It appears that certain clubs, organisations and individuals have a unique privilege and power. "This growing and unhealthy influence has shattered the hopes and dreams of Crystal Palace supporters, and does not bode well for aspirational teams all over Europe competing to progress when rules and sanctions are unevenly applied in the most flagrant way." UEFA regulations state that where one or more clubs are found to have shared ownership, they cannot play in the same competition, and Lyon held on to the Europa League spot by virtue of their higher league position. Palace missed a March 1 UEFA deadline for team in multi-club groups to change their ownership structure. Textor has since sold his shares to New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, a takeover completed in late July. "Multi-club structures hide behind the charade of a 'blind trust' while clubs such as ours, who have no connection to another club whatsoever, are prevented from playing in the same competition," the Palace statement added. "To compound the injustice, clubs that appear to have huge informal arrangements with each other are also allowed to participate and even possibly play against each other. Palace added that the process was "designed to severely restrict and, in our case, make it almost impossible to receive a fair hearing". Palace beat Premier League champions Liverpool in the Community Shield at the weekend, winning a penalty shootout after the match finished 2-2 in 90 minutes.
