One of Notre Dame football's top recruiting targets is on the move.
Georgia product Dre Quinn is transferring high schools, going from Greater Atlanta Christian to powerhouse Buford (Norcross, GA) to play his senior season.
The Class of 2026 defensive end, who is one of the top players in the Peach Tree state, has a final six of Notre Dame, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Texas.
The 6-foot-4, 228-pound three-star product, per the 247Sports Composite Rankings, had 42 tackles (9.5 for loss), 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble last season. His addition is another coup for the Wolves, who finished 12-2 in 2024. Starting quarterback Dayton Raiola is the younger brother of Nebraska sophomore quarterback Dylan Raiola who is committed to the Cornhuskers, now has a new big-time teammate in Quinn.

He had an impressive sophomore season, accounting for 1,100 all-purpose yards with 16 total touchdowns. On defense Gregory picked off six passes as well, earning first-team all-league honors. Speed is a big part of his game, as he's been clocked at 4.35 when running a 40-yard dash. The hope is that this offer from the Irish get Gregory to make a visit to South Bend in the near future, and if that does happen, Notre Dame could be putting themselves in a great position to land the top prospect.

Legacy recruits James Halter and Xander Edwards set to visit Notre Dame Notre Dame is set for a big football weekend as the program will hold its annual Irish Invasion camp. The showcase will feature a slew of talented prospects, including two legacy recruits. Central Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA) 2027 offensive lineman James Halter and The Bolles School (Jacksonville, FL) 2028 running back Xander Edwards will visit South Bend and compete in the high school prospect camp. Both recruits attended the Notre Dame Blue-Gold Game this past April. Edwards' father is former Fighting Irish captain and fullback Marc Edwards, who played in South Bend from 1993-96 before being selected No. 55 overall by the San Francisco 49ers in the 1997 NFL Draft. He ranks eighth in ND history with 32 career rushing touchdowns. Halter is the son of former offensive lineman Jordan Halter, who was teammates with Edwards on the 1993 team. Halter was in South Bend from 1989-1993, when the Irish finished 11-1 and ended the season No. 2 in the AP Top 25 poll. The rising junior Halter is a 6-foot-5, 265-pounder who holds scholarship offers from 12 schools, including Nebraska, Michigan State and Pittsburgh. Notre Dame has been Halter's dream school, so his development as a lineman will be something to watch. Meanwhile, the rising sophomore Edwards has offers from eight schools, including SMU and Pittsburgh. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder had 78 rushes for 558 yards (7.2 yards per carry) and 8 touchdowns last season. CBS Sports decides what Clemson football must do to be successful in 2025 The start of the 2025 college football season is 79 days away -- and 86 days until the Clemson Tigers host LSU in Death Valley at Memorial Stadium on Aug. 30. As we count down the days until then, Clemson coach Dabo Swinney is holding his annual summer camp, offensive line coach Matt Luke is busy lighting things up on the recruiting trail with the 2026 signing class, and the Tigers have landed their first official commitment for 2027. All great news, but what about the 2025 season? Clemson has a stacked roster that is looking to build off a 10-win campaign that included an ACC championship and a trip to the College Football Playoff. The biggest concern the Tigers have is not at quarterback; not after Cade Klubnik's meteoric rise in 2024 (3,639 passing yards, 36 TDs, six INTs). It's not at wide receiver, either. The Tigers have bonafide studs in senior Antonio Williams, plus young sensations Bryant Wesco and T.J. Moore at the position. The defense is anchored up front by linemen T.J. Parker and Peter Woods, and Avieon Terrell shores things up in the secondary. The consensus is that the Tigers' biggest question mark heading into the 2025 season is at running back, where they'll have to replace senior Phil Mafah. On Thursday, CBS Sports' Brad Crawford wrote about one area every team in his post-spring top 25 must address to be successful in 2025. For Clemson, it's finding comfort in the run game. Crawford said: "Find comfort in run game: Tabbed by a few to be college football's top team this fall, Clemson is loaded on both sides with perhaps its best roster since Dabo Swinney's last national championship team. That said, the Tigers are inexperienced in the backfield with freshman Gideon Davidson, third-year sophomore Jay Haynes and redshirt freshman David Eziomume expected to share the load at running back after Phil Mafah's departure. This will be a pass-happy team with Cade Klubnik, but offensive coordinator Garrett Riley needs to be able to breathe easy in short-yardage situations, too." Mafah rushed 216 times for 1,115 yards (5.2 AVG) and eight touchdowns a season ago. It's the second straight year that Clemson will have to replace its starting tailback from the previous season after Mafah took over for the versatile Will Shipley after 2023. Clemson and LSU will meet in prime time at 7:30 p.m. ET on Aug. 30. The game will be televised on ABC.
