MIAMI, Okla. — We have a reporter on the scene of what authorities say is an officer-involved shooting in Miami, Oklahoma.
As of 10:45 p.m., Saturday night, there is currently a heavy police presence, including members of the Miami Police Department, Quapaw Nation Marshals, with additional law enforcement en route.
Authorities have placed markers on Main Street in front of Mia Bella Italian Kitchen. Crime scene tape has been placed on the block's perimeter.
MIAMI, Okla. — An officer-involved shooting has occurred in downtown Miami, officials say.
According to officials, on Saturday evening, an officer-involved shooting occurred in downtown Miami, near the Mia Bella Italian Kitchen, McDonald's, and 7 Brew Coffee.
Few details have been released at this time, however, officials say the suspect has been flown by helicopter to an area hospital and that there is currently no active threat to the community.
