Professional dancer Amy Dowden has been open about her cancer journey ever since her diagnosis and is now cancer free
Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden has shared some exciting news while soaking up the sun. The professional dancer is currently on holiday with her husband Ben and their friends.
She took to her Instagram page to share snaps from her holiday as well as sharing a sweet message with her followers. Amy captioned the post: "What a day! Forever grateful! Two years ago I was doing everything I could to be alive with chemo ahead! Now I'm living every day to the fullest! Forever grateful."

She then went on to reveal to her fans that she had some "super exciting news". Amy continued: "l've just found out some super exciting news that I can't share yet but can't wait to.

"Honestly can't believe it. FaceTimed mom and dad and their reactions were just so cute." Amy has been open about her cancer journey over recent years.
She was diagnosed with breast cancer and shared her news in May 2023. The April beforehand Amy found a lump before she went on her honeymoon with fellow dancer Ben Jones.
Any then underwent a single mastectomy and chemotherapy for treatment. In February 2024 Amy confirmed that she had "no evidence of disease" based on recent medical tests.
She also rejoined Strictly for its milestone 20th-anniversary edition last year. Amy shared a post in April of this year where she marked two years since she found the lump.

Speaking to her followers, she said: "Two years ago I found my lump and my gut instinct told me it wasn't good. I was in Blackpool, about to do a full day in the ballroom with all my students.
"That morning in the shower is when my heart sunk. I was also flying off on my long awaited honeymoon the next day. I knew in my gut it wasn't right. The entire time I was away I was checking it everyday and googling when Ben wasn't looking."
Amy confessed that at the time she thought that the holiday could be her "last" as she said her mind began to "spiral". She wrote: "I remember one day cycling back to our villa and actually thinking this might be my last holiday. Your mind spirals so quickly. It's crazy how dates become so significant after a cancer diagnosis."
However, she went on to reveal she is in a much better place now saying: "So much has changed since then but I am so proud of how far I've come."
She ended the post by writing: "I always told myself during treatment this too shall pass and my fav moto of all time don't get bitter get better. BUT what I really want to say and to get across is always trust your gut! You know your own body, don't be scared to see your GP and express how you feel. Trust your instincts, trust your gut and remember you know YOU better than anyone else!"

I had a gastric band as the ultimate revenge glow-up – people say the before & afters look like two different people

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A WOMAN has revealed how she had such an incredible glow up that some say her before and after photos look like two different people. Amy Salmon, a 31-year-old business owner from London, says she was prompted to make a change when her long-term relationship broke down in March last year. It was only when Amy saw photos of herself in a dress after a night out post break-up that she decided she needed to do something about her 'unhealthy' habits. At first, Amy tried to lose the weight through exercise but, due to her binge-eating habit, opted for a £4,200 gastric sleeve in Egypt in June 2024 which helped her shift 8st. She's now dropped to a svelte size six after undergoing the surgery and has done £5,000-worth of beauty treatments. She had skin booster treatments, had her face filler and Botox regularly topped up and changed her hair from a 'miserable' blonde bob to flowing 18-inch brunette extensions. Amy said: "I have changed my hair and got 18-inch extensions put in. The short bob was such a miserable cut and colour for a miserable person. "I do a lot of the treatment myself but I would have spent absolutely thousands on this. My hair alone cost me £600 and in total at least £5,000 for everything else." Not only has it completely changed her appearance - with some people saying she now looks like Love Island's Gemma Owens - it's boosted her confidence. Thanks to the gastric sleeve, Amy lost seven stone and has 'no regrets', as she described getting the surgery as the 'best decision" she ever made. Katie Price reveals exactly how much she weighs after fan concerns over her skinny frame Amy said: "When I look in the mirror, I see a different person and I don't recognise the person I was. I could cry looking at photos. "When I stepped out of that relationship, I didn't recognise myself. I am so happy in myself now and I just ooze confidence. "[In the relationship], I would order a lot of Uber Eats. I would have constant takeaways and live off these. "I was probably having five takeaways a week and it was setting me back at least £100. "The binge-eating had gotten out of control. I just needed something as extreme as a gastric sleeve to kick me into gear. When I stepped out of that relationship, I didn't recognise myself. I love fashion and it meant I was able to buy clothes from shops as before I had to buy my clothes online. "As a mum it has massively changed the game. As a 17 stone woman, I would be sweating at soft play. "I used to be embarrassed to do those things because of how I looked and my energy levels but now I feel so much better." 7 Gemma opted for a £4,200 gastric sleeve in June 2024 Credit: Kennedy News/@amysal93 7 Amy in May 2024 after coming out of her long term relationship Credit: Kennedy News/@amysal93 Amy's diet before and after AMY'S DIET BEFORE Breakfast: A fast food breakfast Lunch: Takeaway Dinner: Pizza or microwave meal AMY'S DIET NOW AFTER GASTRIC SLEEVE SURGERY: Breakfast: Poached eggs or avocado on toast Lunch: Chicken salad or high protein meal Dinner: A small portion of spaghetti bolognese or a high-protein meal And after getting her 'sparkle' back post break-up, she says she has started dating again and is now encouraging others to leave their relationship if they're unhappy. She added: "The break up was the best thing that has ever happened to me. It needed to happen and I dread to think where I would be if I was still in that relationship. "Do not let the fear of what your life will look like keep you miserable. Life's too short." Kelly Osbourne showcases her slender frame in a chic blue floral print dress as she attends Boodles Tennis event

Kelly Osbourne showcased her slender frame in a chic blue floral-print dress as she attended day three of the prestigious Boodles Tennis at Stoke Park in Buckinghamshire on Thursday. The TV personality, 40, who is the daughter of rock legend Ozzy and TV star Sharon, exuded elegance in the stylish ensemble, which featured a halterneck neckline, bow cut-outs at the bust, and a flowing skirt. Striking a pose for the cameras, Kelly added height with a pair of black strappy open-toe heels. She completed the look with diamond earrings and a tennis-inspired diamond bracelet. Held annually at the luxurious Stoke Park, the Boodles Tennis event offers a rare opportunity to see top-ranked players compete in an intimate and exclusive atmosphere. Kelly's outing comes after she shared a snap of herself earlier this year looking dramatically different, reigniting speculation that she's had plastic surgery. The star took to Instagram to post a couple of glamorous shots after getting her hair and makeup done, with her face looking smoother and more chiselled than ever. Captioning the photos, Kelly revealed she'd been all glammed up for her plans to be cancelled at the last minute, lamenting: 'Sat through glam only to find that my day had been cancelled. #alldressedupandnowheretogo'. However, her followers were distracted by her noticeably slimmer and tauter appearance, which highlighted her sharper jawline, voluptuous lips, and lifted brows. They raced to the comments to admit they could barely recognise the star and accused her of getting heavy cosmetic work done that had made her look as though she'd had a 'full head transplant'. They commented: 'Is Kelly Osborne in the room with us?'; 'WHO IS THAT?? Wft....'; 'Gifted a new head for Christmas….'; 'totally different head'. 'Who's face is that?'; 'Full head transplant'; 'Lots of money and a good plastic surgeon and we can all be this beautiful'. 'Wow amazing what tons of plastic surgery, ozempic and money can do'; 'Is this the same Kelly Osbourne or..'; 'New face, who dis?' 'Where is Kelly?'; 'can't imagine how many surgeries, fillers, botox injections, skin treatments, etc. were involved in this transformation. When you no longer look anything like yourself, what exactly did you accomplish?' Held annually at the luxurious Stoke Park, the Boodles Tennis event offers a rare opportunity to see top-ranked players compete in an intimate and exclusive atmosphere It comes after Kelly's fans voiced their dismay after she shared a new snap of herself looking dramatically different, with her face looking smoother and more chiselled than ever reigniting speculation that she's had plastic surgery 'Teenage Kelly would not be happy about this'; 'What in the millions dollars worth of plastic surgery is this'; 'Is she AI?!' Kelly has undergone many changes in her appearance over the years. In 2020, she revealed that she had quietly undergone gastric sleeve surgery two years before, leading to a jaw-dropping 85lb weight loss. She also previously admitted to having injections to change the shape of her face, and make her jaw look 'skinnier,' after suffering with TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction). However, Kelly has repeatedly and furiously denied that she has had any cosmetic procedures besides Botox. Last year, she declared that she was a 'huge fan' of plastic surgery, but insisted that she was too scared to get anything done after seeing her mother go under the knife so many times. She told People: 'I am a huge fan of plastic surgery. What it does for people is amazing. It can change people's lives and give them the confidence they've been lacking, and make people feel beautiful in the way they want to feel beautiful. 'But I've never done anything but Botox. I'm too scared. I've always been in the camp of if you think it's broken, fix it. You don't have to be stuck with a nose you hate for the rest of your life. So yes, I'm a huge fan.' She explained the root of her fear, saying: 'I watched my mum go through every recovery from everything she's ever had done, and it looks awful'. They raced to the comments to admit they could barely recognise the star and accused her of getting heavy cosmetic work done that had made her look as though she'd had a 'full head transplant' Sharon, 72, has undergone a range of procedures including a gastric band, full facelift, tummy tuck, an eyelift, breast implants, abdominoplasty and Botox. While she has branded her 2021 facelift the 'worst thing she ever did' after the procedure left her 'looking like a cyclops' and 'Quasimodo'. Back in March last year, Sharon shocked the public after she made her return to UK reality TV on Celebrity Big Brother. The star couldn't hide her weight loss on the show as she revealed doctors 'can't figure out' why she hasn't been able to gain weight back after she stopped using Ozempic months ago. 'The doctors can't figure it out,' she said. 'But I think it's just because I'm getting older and as you get older you lose weight anyway and shrink and shrivel off.' On why she decided to start receiving Ozempic injections, Sharon said 'everyone was doing it'.
