Waterproof makeup typically contains water-repellent ingredients like silicones and waxes that form a barrier on the skin, preventing water from breaking down the product.
Many waterproof products are formulated for sensitive skin, but not all. Check the label for terms like 'hypoallergenic' or 'dermatologist-tested.' Always do a patch test before applying it to your face.
Yes, but it's essential to remove it thoroughly each night to prevent clogged pores or irritation. Choose gentle formulas and use an effective makeup remover.
Use an oil-based or dual-phase (oil + water) makeup remover. These break down the waterproof ingredients more effectively than water-based cleansers. Gently massage and wipe away with a soft cloth or cotton pad.
Some formulas may be heavier than regular makeup. Look for non-comedogenic options (meaning they won't clog pores), especially if you have oily or acne-prone skin.

Lauren Kyle turns heads as she mimics Connor McDavid's viral water sport moment during Muskoka getaway
Lauren Kyle shared glimpses of their Muskoka summer, playfully referencing Connor McDavid's viral wakeboarding video (Getty Images) Edmonton Oilers superstar Connor McDavid may be in offseason mode, but his wife, Lauren Kyle, is the one turning heads online. Known for balancing her role as an interior designer with life alongside hockey's biggest name, Lauren recently gave fans a glimpse of their summer in Muskoka that blended fun, family, and a wink at one of McDavid's viral moments. Muskoka downtime becomes a memorable social media highlight Lauren shared a series of Instagram Stories over the weekend that showed the couple's relaxed cottage lifestyle—complete with their dogs, a family basketball game, and her own attempt at wakesurfing. What made the post stand out was the playful nod to last summer, when McDavid's wakeboarding skills went viral and even drew comparisons to Mark Zuckerberg's now-famous 'surfing in a tux' video. Setting her clip to 'Summer' by The Carters, Lauren managed to turn a casual ride behind the boat into a lighthearted callback fans instantly recognized. Rather than trying to outshine her husband's viral moment, Lauren leaned into humor and relatability, which made the content feel effortless. From French celebrations to European escapes with friends This lakeside content came shortly after Lauren and Connor attended Leon Draisaitl's wedding to actress Celeste Desjardins in France. The couple then joined the newlyweds in St. Tropez for a sun-soaked getaway that Lauren also documented online. Photos of seaside views, chic wedding attire, and candid moments with Oilers teammates highlighted the close-knit bonds within the team's circle. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Guyangan: Unsold Sofas Prices May Surprise You (Prices May Surprise You) Sofas | Search Ads Search Now Undo The gathering included several Edmonton players and their partners, underscoring the value of these offseason trips in strengthening personal and professional chemistry. Pb teacher celebrates linguistic diversity through children's songs
Ludhiana: In a heartwarming initiative that blends education with cultural harmony, a schoolteacher from Punjab has found a unique way to nurture linguistic respect among children. Karamjit Singh Grewal, who teaches at Govt Primary School, Khedi Jhamedi, has composed nearly 10 children's songs in as many Indian languages, an effort aimed at fostering diversity and tolerance. Influenced by his background in scouting and having friends from different parts of the country, Grewal believes language can play a powerful role in building bonds across communities. "The idea struck me that children should learn simple songs in different languages so that they feel connected with people from diverse cultural backgrounds," he says. In an age when urban youth often lean toward learning languages like Spanish or French, Grewal feels there is equal value in embracing vast linguistic richness closer home. "When we hear someone from another state speaking Punjabi, it feels heartwarming. They experience the same joy when we try speaking their language," he says, stressing the emotional connection language creates. So far, Grewal has successfully sung songs for children in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Dogri, Bengali, Bodo, Assamese, Hindi, apart from mother-tongue Punjabi. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Last Chance: 80% Off This Artisan's Retirement Jewelry Sale The Heritage Journal Read More Undo "Languages are not just about words, they are windows to different cultures. That's why the subjects of the songs vary and are rooted in the traditions and stories of the regions they represent," he says. What makes this initiative particularly impactful is the way it creates bridges among children, even when comprehension is limited. "Children might not understand every word, but when they sing these songs, they would appreciate other languages as well," Grewal says. Grewal plans to expand the project further. His goal is to create videos of children's songs in 24 languages, ensuring that young learners across the country can access and enjoy them. "This is my small contribution to nurturing a generation that not only respects but also celebrates the cultural and linguistic differences," he said. Birthday Special: From Omkara to Dil Chahta Hai- Revisiting Saif Ali Khan's best performances
While everyone was busy talking about the Khans, Saif was out here reinventing himself, over and over again. It's no wonder that we call him the coolest Khan! Saif Ali Khan is Bollywood's accidental chameleon. One minute he's wooing you with a guitar, the next he's plotting a bloodbath with a French beard and a whiskey glass. While everyone was busy talking about the Khans, Saif was out here reinventing himself, over and over again. It's no wonder that we call him the coolest Khan! From the floppy-haired cutie in 90s comedies, then swerved into Shakespeare, streaming, and zombie-hunting — all while somehow staying underrated. He just shows up, tries something weird, and leaves quietly with your respect. STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Omkara (2006) This is the role that made everyone stop laughing at Saif's rom-com past. A scheming, limping villain with an Othello complex and pitch-perfect Western UP accent? The man devoured. It's Shakespeare meets Chambal, and Saif meets acting Nirvana. Dil Chahta Hai (2001) The lovable idiot friend with the world's worst luck in love? In a film that redefined male friendships in Bollywood, Saif played the golden retriever energy guy. While Aamir was brooding and Akshaye was emo before it was cool, Saif gave us comic timing, sweetness, and that all-time iconic 'Woh Ladki Hai Kahan' song. Being Cyrus (2005) Saif as a drifter with dead eyes and dangerous intentions in this off-kilter psychological drama? Sign us up. If you remember Being Cyrus, you know why the film deserved more awards than it got. Hum Tum (2004) He nagged, he whined, he sketched cartoons and we still rooted for him. In this gendered slow-burn rom-com, Saif managed to evolve from a petty man-child to a man-man without ever becoming annoying. He also picked up a National Award for it, because this is the chatty film that's a lot harder than it looks! STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Sacred Games (2018–2019) Existential dread, crumbling morals, and a very realistic cop first big Indian gamble was a gritty neo-noir that delivered, and Saif's Sartaj was its broken soul. Haunted by daddy issues, systemic rot, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui's chaos energy, Sartaj gave Saif his streaming-era rebrand. Also: great beard. Udaybhan Rathod – Tanhaji (2020) Historical villainy, but make it operatic. He went full throttle baddie – Bloodthirsty, unhinged, dramatic. It's the kind of fun performance that only Saif could've made it camp. Eyeliner, fur, slow-mo smirks, he knew what movie he was in. Go Goa Gone (2013) India's first zombie comedy and Saif's first bleach-blonde era, we remember both. He claimed to be Russian. He looked like he washed ashore from Ibiza. And he was surprisingly good at zombie combat. This cult comedy is one of the strangest things to come out of Bollywood and Saif leaned into the madness like a pro. Love Aaj Kal (2009) STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD Two timelines. One heartbreak. And a whole lot of tears. In this Imtiaz Ali special, Saif played both modern commitment-phobic Jai and old-school romantic Veer. It was moody, musical, and mildly confusing, but he pulled off both avatars with restraint and charm. Also, don't act like you don't hum Dooriyan when it rains. Ek Hasina Thi (2004) He smiled. You trusted him. Mistake. This lean, mean revenge thriller had Saif playing against type, a smooth con man who gaslights Urmila Matondkar's character into hell. The turn is cold, clean, and absolutely chilling. Early-2000s noir that deserved way more love. Parineeta (2005) In this swoony, sepia-toned adaptation of Sarat Chandra's novel, Saif traded jeans for kurta-pyjamas and brought a brooding depth to the man. The chemistry with Vidya Balan was electric, and he looked painfully good playing the piano in vintage Calcutta.
