Justin Bieber impersonator dupes Las Vegas nightclub, sings on stage

Yahoo7 hours ago
Justin Bieber joined a popular DJ onstage and performed at a Las Vegas nightclub. Except that he didn't.
Gryffin, a San Francisco-born DJ and music producer, was performing at the XS Nightclub inside the Wynn Las Vegas hotel on Aug. 16 when he was told that Bieber was at the venue and wanted to perform, he said in a video posted on his Instagram.
"His 'team' said he wanted to perform 'Sorry,'" a text overlay on the video read. "Little did I know I was about to be sorry."
The Bieber on stage with Gryffin was not the Grammy award-winning singer, but rather an impersonator. The DJ's video added that the look-alike performed on stage for several minutes and "sounded like Justin Bieber."
"biebergate2025," the DJ captioned his post.
Nightclub says impersonator carried out 'elaborate' dupe
Wynn Las Vegas said in a statement to USA TODAY that the impersonator duped the club's staff.
"After an elaborate and multi-step ruse by him and his advance team, a Justin Bieber impersonator was granted access to the XS stage," the statement reads. "As soon as the error was recognized, he was removed from the resort and denied future entry."
In Gryffin's video, a man with a buzzed haircut, tattoos and sunglasses is seen performing Bieber's hit song, "Sorry."
"Bieber in the house, y'all," Gryffin says into a microphone.
Following the performance, the video shows Gryffin saying, "That was insane," before someone puts their arm around him and breaks the news that the singer on stage was not the real Bieber.
"No way," Gryffin says, to which the individual responds, "Swear on my life."
Justin Bieber impersonator denies trying to dupe club
In a series of social media posts, a French Justin Bieber impersonator named Dylan Desclos confirmed that he was the onstage performer.
Desclos's manager, Julien Colas, said in a written statement to USA TODAY that he went to the club as an impersonator and someone asked if he would like to perform.
"We did many performance as impersonator," Colas said. "What have we to won by saying we are the real one? That's not our way to work. Cause, yes, it's a job. We don't want to hurt anyone."

Ernesto Barajas, founder of Mexican band Enigma Norteño, dies at 38: Reports

Ernesto Barajas, co-founder and singer/songwriter for the regional Mexican band Enigma Norteño, has died, according to multiple media reports. He was 38. The singer and bassist was fatally shot in western Mexico on Tuesday, Aug. 19, The Associated Press and newspaper El Universal reported, citing the Jalisco Attorney General's Office. The incident took place in Zapopan, located on the outskirts of Jalisco's capital, Guadalajara. USA TODAY has reached out to the prosecutor's office for more information. Barajas' management company, Talento Líder, confirmed the news to Billboard Español. His management also paid tribute to the musician in an Aug. 19 Instagram story that read, "Rest in peace, Ernesto Barajas. Your Talento Líder family will always be proud of you and remember you as the great artist and human being that you were. May God bless you." Peso Pluma knows you know who he is. How the Grammy winner put Mexican music on the map. Barajas founded Enigma Norteño alongside Humberto Pérez in 2004 in Culiacán, the capital of their home state of Sinaloa. Some of their most streamed songs include "El Deportivo," a collaboration with Billboard Music Awards winners Fuerza Regida, and "Hagnase A Un Lado." The group is known for narcocorridos – a genre that often glorifies drug cartels – with one of their tracks, "El Chapo Guzmán," directly referencing the infamous former Sinaloa Cartel leader Joaquín Guzmán. Mexico's 'narcocorridos' go mainstream. What's behind their popularity explosion? The band released its most recent album, "Atención Al Cliente," in November 2024. On Aug. 14, they debuted "Hello Kitty," a collaboration with fellow Sinaloa musician Edgardo Nuñez. In addition to his musical work, Barajas also hosted the podcast "Puntos de Vista con Ernesto Barajas."

‘Nicest judge in the world' Frank Caprio dies hours after sharing his final video

Judge Frank Caprio built a reputation as the 'nicest judge in the world' after videos from inside his courtroom went viral on social media platforms. Caprio became a well-known face on social media thanks to the videos showing him dishing out fair verdicts to the people standing before him. With more than 1.5 million followers on TikTok alone, when Caprio wasn't sharing videos of his former day job, he would post comical videos of himself reacting to viral videos as if he was judging them himself. In December 2023, Caprio went public with his cancer diagnosis, asking his many followers for their prayers as he began his treatment. Caprio was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. On Wednesday, Aug. 20, Caprio died at the age of 88. His death was confirmed by his family in a statement shared with WJAR. On Tuesday, less than 24 hours before his death, Caprio took to TikTok to share his final video with his audience. 'Last year, I asked you to pray for me, and it's very obvious that you did, because I came through a very difficult period,' Caprio said from his hospital bed. 'Unfortunately, I've had a setback. I'm back in the hospital now. And I'm coming to you again, asking you to remember me in your prayers once more. So I ask you again, if it's not too much that you can remember me in your prayers. I'm a great believer in the power of prayers. I think the All Mighty above is looking over, looking over us. So remember me. Please.' On Aug. 20, a statement was shared with his 3 million Instagram followers. 'Judge Frank Caprio passed away peacefully at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer,' the statement began. 'Beloved for his compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions through his work in the courtroom and beyond.' 'His warmth, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. His legacy lives on in the countless acts of kindness he inspired,' the statement continued. Trending on the Timeline: Tamar Braxton's Health & Family Matters Reboot

Source: ione nicole thomas / IONE, VIA NICOLE THOMAS The culture is buzzing today with two major stories that have everyone talking. From prayers for our girl Tamar Braxton to some exciting news about a potential 90s reboot, let's break down what's trending on the timeline. First and most importantly, we need to lift up Posted On The Corner alumni Tamar Braxton in our prayers right now. The singer took to her Instagram story yesterday with some heartbreaking news that had fans shook. In her own words, she said, 'I struggle to write this, but everyone keeps calling me. And honestly, I can't even really talk to anybody because I'm so weak. Almost died.' Tamar revealed she was found in a pool of blood over the weekend with serious facial injuries. She's dealing with a fractured nose, lost some teeth, and has limited mobility. The fact that she even took the time to let us know she's okay while going through this shows her heart. We care about your data. See our privacy policy. We don't need all the details—what matters is that our girl is alive and asking for our support. The least we can do is keep her in our thoughts and prayers as she recovers from whatever happened. Tamar has always been real with her fans, and right now she needs that love returned. On a brighter note, get ready for some nostalgic vibes! Remember Family Matters from the 90s? Well, it might be making a comeback as an animated series, and honestly, we're here for it. Bryton James, who played little Richie Crawford back in the day, spilled the tea about this potential reboot. He's been working behind the scenes, creating pilots and getting animators on board. The whole concept is ready to go—they just need Warner Brothers to give them the green light. What makes this reboot different is how they're approaching it. Instead of just rehashing the same old content, they're taking classic episodes and modernizing them for 2025. Think of it as remixing your favorite songs but for TV. They're keeping the heart of what made Family Matters special while making it relevant for a whole new generation. This isn't just another lazy reboot attempt. The team is putting in real work to make sure it hits different. Animation opens up so many creative possibilities too—they can do things that wouldn't have been possible with the original live-action format. Stay tuned as both stories develop, and don't forget to keep Tamar in your prayers! SEE ALSO
