Vacheron Constantin Stops Time With Stunning Métiers d'Art Tribute To The Celestial Collection

Hype Malaysia10-07-2025
Look up, fam! Vacheron Constantin has revealed a glittering ode to the night sky with the Métiers d'Art Tribute to The Celestial collection. This new series showcases 12 timepieces, each representing a zodiac sign through hand-guilloché artistry, diamond-set constellations, and deep blue dials housed in white gold cases adorned with sapphires.
Each piece speaks to both celestial wonder and earthly craftsmanship. The 39mm 18K white gold case shimmers with 96 baguette-cut blue sapphires (~3.87 carats), meticulously channel-set to create a seamless ring of light that frames the dial. Beneath the dial, the Calibre 2160 powers the watch with refined precision. At just 5.65mm thick, this ultra-thin self-winding tourbillon movement contains 188 expertly crafted components and delivers an 80-hour power reserve.
A Dial Written In The Language Of Stars
Each dial begins as a disc of 18K gold, engraved with zodiac figures and their matching constellations. The guilloché work introduces a technique unique to the Maison – using tightly patterned triangles angled in a way that catches and reflects light like the facets of a gem. Brilliant-cut diamonds mark each constellation's brightest stars. For Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, opaline highlights add visual contrast and dimension.
The eight-step dial construction is a ballet of precision, with each artisan building upon the previous stage without disrupting the integrity of the work. From the initial sunburst finish to the final transfer of the Maison's emblem and indexes, every stage demonstrates the deep respect Vacheron Constantin holds for traditional métiers d'art.
Technical Mastery Behind The Beauty
The Calibre 2160 movement pairs aesthetic finesse with horological strength. Its 22K gold peripheral rotor ensures an uninterrupted view of the movement's inner workings – complete with perlage, hand-bevelled bridges, and a polished tourbillon cage shaped like the Maltese Cross.
Operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, the tourbillon also serves as the small seconds indicator. Each piece bears the prestigious Poinçon de Genève, affirming the quality of both decoration and performance.
A Legacy Written In The Stars
Vacheron Constantin's fascination with the cosmos spans centuries. The Maison's past creations have explored astrological and astronomical themes with an eye for symbolism and technical complexity. From Art Deco clocks and Chinese zodiac dials to grand complications like Reference 57260 and The Berkley Grand Complication, the brand continues to interpret time through the lens of myth, science, and human wonder.
This new Métiers d'Art collection draws inspiration from a 2021 Les Cabinotiers piece that featured a figurative Leo in guilloché – a turning point in Vacheron Constantin's decorative language. The Tribute to The Celestial series expands that moment into a complete zodiac narrative, where each timepiece becomes a chapter in the sky.
The Métiers d'Art Tribute to The Celestial features 12 watches, each inspired by a zodiac sign. Available at select Vacheron Constantin boutiques worldwide.

Malaysian Downs 978 Cups Of CHAGEE In 30 Days To Win Travel Voucher

Subscribe to our FREE In what might be the most caffeinated quest for free vacation ever documented, a Malaysian man has shocked the internet. He consumed 978 cups of bubble tea in just 30 days – all to win a travel voucher worth RM15,999. The epic tea marathon unfolded during CHAGEE's cup challenge promotion, which ran from 18 June to 18 July. The rules were simple: whoever bought the most cups would win the grand prize. What nobody expected was for someone to take it this seriously. The Numbers Don't Lie (But They're Hard to Believe) Let's break down the math that's got everyone talking. This bubble tea champion – identified only as 'Leo' on the leaderboard – managed to average 32.6 cups per day. That's one cup every 45 minutes, around the clock, for an entire month. Using CHAGEE's cheapest menu item at RM11.90 per cup, Leo dropped at least RM11,648.20 to win a prize worth RM15,999 potentially. Even accounting for bulk discounts or promotions, we're talking about a serious financial commitment to liquid sugar and tapioca pearls. The Internet Has Questions Social media exploded with reactions ranging from impressed to concerned. 'Are his feet still okay?' asked one worried commenter, while another joked, 'I'm afraid I'll win but won't have feet left to travel abroad.' Others speculated about the logistics: Was this a corporate bulk purchase? A group effort among friends? A party planning gone wild? The mystery deepened when people realised the sheer physical impossibility of one person actually drinking that much tea. The leaderboard shows Leo claiming the top spot with 978 cups, followed by 'CHA' with 735 cups and 'Faz' with 557 cups. The competition was clearly fierce, but Leo's commitment was in a league of its own. By the Book, But Beyond Belief According to CHAGEE's terms and conditions, the competition was straightforward: rankings were 'based on the total number of qualifying cups purchased via the Only paid orders through the official app counted – no freebies, no discounts with zero payment, and cancelled orders were voided. Even 100th place required a minimum of 37 cups to qualify for seven free regular milk teas, showing that this wasn't just about one obsessed individual, but a genuinely competitive field. What makes this story remarkable isn't that someone bent the rules – it's that they didn't need to. CHAGEE's official promotion created the perfect storm: a valuable grand prize, transparent leaderboard tracking, and no purchase limits. Leo simply took the challenge more seriously than anyone anticipated. The promotion has since ended, and Leo presumably has his travel voucher. His current tea consumption levels remain unknown. Aligning workouts to your zodiac sign (Part 2)

In my last column, we explored how zodiac signs can influence your fitness workouts. Perhaps they do, perhaps they don't – only you know best where your true potential lies. Here are the remainder of these signs for your information and entertainment. Leo (July 23 – Aug 22) The charmer and the performer among the signs, Leos gravitate toward workouts and sports where they can be the centre of attraction. This fire sign is ruled by the Sun, so they need a lot of natural sunlight during their workouts or they will start slacking. Leos love a good sweat, and if the right personal trainer comes along, they can be easily pushed to achieve a personal best. They can be highly energetic or extremely lazy, hence suitable activities can range from high- intensity interval training (HIIT), upbeat spinning classes or any other heart-pumping routine. They hate to be stuck in a routine rut, but if it's a workout they enjoy, they will stick to it and reap the rewards. Otherwise, you'll find them relaxing at the spa or beach. Lionesses will do well in dance-based classes, as they love grooving to music and want to show off their moves, while males should engage in macho sports such as kickboxing or judo. Natural leaders who can motivate others, they will also thrive in team sports such as basketball or soccer. Unsurprisingly, Leos like retired Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt and American football quarterback Tom Brady are known for their charisma and natural stage presence. Virgo (Aug 23 – Sept 22) This sign is all about discipline, structured workouts and a desire to achieve perfection. Their asset lies in having great endurance, so ideal activities include going the distance such as hiking, cross-country running or triathlons. Virgos would do well in strength training, as they're focused on precision and alignment, besides keeping meticulous track of their progress. However, Virgos have a tendency to see things in extremes of black and white – they might go overboard and can be obsessive exercisers, as they don't want to see their gains drop. Here's when they could do with a long, leisurely stroll or a relaxing swim in the pool to clear their mind. As they also exude a calming vibe, a structured yoga or stretch session will bring about plenty of benefits. PS: Don't talk to them when they're working out as it disrupts their carefully pre-planned routine. The highly-disciplined Virgo has great endurance, which makes them suited for activities such as long hikes. Libra (Sept 23 – Oct 22) Librans are ruled by the planet Venus so they're drawn towards anything that spells love, beauty and fun. That means no solo workouts for them as they do best in group exercise classes or when they team up with a buddy. The focus is always on 'we' before 'I'. They seek harmony in both fitness and life, and will turn away from exercising in an 'ugly' setting, such as a poorly-lit gym or a park filled with fallen branches or uncut grass. Graceful, balanced and coordinated, they have a penchant for Zumba, gymnastics, ballroom dancing, diving, Pilates, yoga, doubles tennis or pickleball. As long as the activity has a fun, social appeal, you'll find a Libran there making new friends. Once they set their mind on a goal, they will go all out to achieve it and won't mind dedicating themselves totally to a workout. On the flip side, if their balance gets out of whack, they lose track of their goals, so it's best for Librans to get a personal coach to design a balanced fitness programme to work on overall fitness, with an element of fun. If the trainer is visually appealing, all the more will the beauty-loving Libran hire him or her. Scorpio (Oct 23 – Nov 21) These intense, driven individuals need something that can challenge their physical and mental limits. They're apparently filled with pent-up emotions and working out gives them a break after a long day of ruminating. Participating in intense activities like martial arts, CrossFit, powerlifting, kickboxing or hot yoga can help lighten their mental and emotional load. As they're good at remembering details, Scorpios should incorporate a dance class for a fun way to fit in some fitness and challenge the brain. Scorpios will do whatever it takes to get fit, and once their energy starts flowing, they won't want to stop. They need to remember not to overdo things as even top athletes need to rest and recharge. Monitor your obsessive tendencies, pace yourself and aim for balance – get a tip or two from your Libran counterparts. Although this sign is highly competitive, they prefer to be alone when trying to unwind. Make sure you have downtime at home, but don't isolate yourself for too long. This photo taken on Oct 30, 1974, shows the classic fight (billed as Rumble in the Jungle) between American boxing heavyweight champions Muhammad Ali (left) and George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of the Congo). Both the late athletes were Capricorns. — AFP Filepic Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21) The most adventurous of the zodiac signs, there isn't a sport or activity they wouldn't try to release all their pent-up energy. In whatever they do, they need variety and a sense of freedom. They love being outdoors and are suited for activities such as hiking, archery, cycling and rock climbing. They also enjoy team sports, martial arts and anything that involves a challenge and gives them a chance to explore. However, this fire sign needs someone to work out with so they often text their close friends to see who can exercise with them to stay in shape. You'll hardly see them working out by themselves. Should they hit the gym alone, they will bounce from machine to machine, never stopping long enough to really work a specific muscle group, but they won't have it any other way. Those born under this sign enjoy the freedom of exploration on their fitness journey, so they just do whatever feels right. No limits or restrictions for the Sagittarian. Should there be an invitation to bungee jump, they'll jump right in without thinking twice. Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19) This earth sign is ruled by Saturn, i.e. they're practical and grounded, yet ambitious. They enjoy workouts that require determination and persistence, but will set their own rhythm for them. They're drawn to activities where they can feel the ground beneath their feet, such as boot camp or outdoor running, although they can also be good at rowing and tai chi. Like their fellow earth sign, Virgo, they have a disciplined mindset and a clear training strategy for every exercise session. They're unlikely to jump into a workout routine without having a clear plan first, i.e. they lack spontaneity. Capricorn basketball star LeBron James is well known for his disciplined approach. However, too much discipline is not necessarily a good thing, so be sure not to overlook stretching and flexibility as part of your overall routine. Interestingly, many former boxing greats were born under this sign, including Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and George Foreman. Revathi Murugappan is a certified fitness trainer who tries to battle gravity and continues to dance to express herself artistically and nourish her soul. Moët & Chandon x Pharrell Williams Collab On The Ultimate Birthday Gift

We're getting all bubbly! When it comes to celebration, Moët & Chandon has always been more than a champagne. It is a symbol, a ritual, a spark that elevates any moment worth toasting. Following its global debut in March, the iconic French champagne Maison is delighted to unveil its latest collaboration in Malaysia: the Moet & Chandon and Pharrell Williams Limited Edition Collection, putting birthday celebrations centre stage. Driven by shared values of optimism, generosity, and human connection, Moët & Chandon and multi-talented creative Pharrell Williams have come together to reimagine these special moments through the eyes of those who celebrate you. The Maison and Pharrell's shared vision of collective joy is at the heart of the collaboration, aimed to create moments that are both universal and deeply personal, where every detail is crafted to honour those who gather to celebrate. Each day, 22 million people around the world mark their birthdays, a ritual filled with the joy and gratitude of those who make the occasion unforgettable. Whether or not you enjoy celebrating your own birthday, we all enjoy celebrating the people we love. It's not about the gift, but who is giving it. Not the party, but who shows up. And, it's not about the bottle, but whom you share it with. 'The best part about a birthday are the people who want to celebrate it with you,' says Pharrell. 'When I was old enough to toast with champagne for the first time, Moët & Chandon was my point of reference. I suppose it's just a tradition, it's the ritual.' Moët & Chandon Reimagines Celebration At TREC KL Moët & Chandon brought the campaign creative expression, 'Let Us Celebrate You' vividly to life through a spectacular, one-night only unveiling party at ZEST Club, located in the heart of TREC KL, capturing the essence of meaning connections and joyous moments. Guests entered a space bathed in rich midnight-blue hues honouring this Moët & Chandon limited edition collection. Against the stunning backdrop of Kuala Lumpur's skyline stood an impressive champagne tower, artfully stacked with Moët & Chandon bottles and glasses – symbolising countless Malaysian cherished toasts and joyful moments. At the centre of it all stood the Moët & Chandon x Pharrell Williams Brut Impérial Bow Creation, a captivating 1.5L magnum adorned with an oversized, intricately crafted bow. A sumptuous banquet, styled with lush drapery and vibrant blooms sets the stage for an evening of sensory surprises. Guided by charismatic performers, guests embarked on a playful culinary journey: each dish cleverly disguised with unexpected flavours and local twists, from a deconstructed laksa disguised as a sunny-side-up egg to bite-sized takes on Malaysian street favourites, offering a fresh reason to toast at every turn. 'At Moët & Chandon, we believe celebration shines brightest when shared with the people who show up. Through this collection with Pharrell Williams, we invite Malaysians to celebrate meaningful connections, whether it's a birthday, an impromptu get-together, or simply the joy of being together, and let Moët & Chandon be the champagne that honours every one of those moments.' says Laura Drozdowski Lot, Marketing Director of Moët Hennessy Southeast Asia. The Design Behind The Moët & Chandon x Pharrell Williams Collaboration To create a distinctive and unique design for everyone's birthday, Moët & Chandon and Pharrell Williams delved into the archives of the House and found that, what today is the iconic tie on the bottle, was a bow in 1889. The bow symbolising togetherness, generosity, joy and surprise is one of the key elements of this Limited Edition Collection. The Limited Edition: Brut Impérial (Gold, Blue, and Red) The box and bottleneck of Moët & Chandon's most emblematic champagne, Brut Impérial, are dressed in Gold, Midnight Blue and Deep Red. Pharrell signs his creations with white dotted lettering similar to pearls on the box and directly on the bottle. He also transforms the bottle's red royal seal into a pearled monogram of his initials, PW, interconnected and round. The Moët & Chandon x Pharrell Limited Edition Collection is available in Malaysia, at selected participating retail stores and high-energy outlets.
