Tens of thousands of people are expected to converge on a Bath landmark this weekend as Robbie Williams takes to the stage. The open air concert is taking place on 13 and 14 June at the Royal Crescent to mark 250 years since the Unesco World Heritage site was built. Pop band The Lottery Winners are the supporting act and their 45-minute set begins at 19:00. Williams will be on stage to perform a catalogue of hits such as Let Me Entertain You and Rock DJ from 20:30. The concert is scheduled to conclude by 22:30. Bath and North East Somerset Council urged concert-goers to take park and ride services to the city centre, with road closures at Royal Avenue, Royal Victoria Park and Marlborough Lane. The city's three park and ride services, from Newbridge, Odd Down and Lansdown, have been extended to run until 23:30 on Friday and Saturday. Great Western Railway said it was running regular trains from Bath Spa to Bristol Temple Meads, with the last service at 23:53 on Friday and 23:51 on Saturday. The train operator warned of disruption to services heading to Cardiff and London Paddington due to track replacement in South Gloucestershire. Senbla released a list of prohibited items including umbrellas, blankets, chairs and bags larger than A3 size. Ticketholders are also not allowed to bring in any food or drink from outside the arena, as well as any sharp objects. We initially said it was going to be sunny on Friday and Saturday but unfortunately, the forecast has changed. On Friday it is scheduled to be sunny but wet, with rain forecast from midday for the rest of the evening. On Saturday, there is a 40% chance of rain for most of the afternoon. PICTURES: Picnic in the Park a roaring success despite wet weather

THE weather did not stop Salisbury Live's latest event from being a roaring success, as picnic in the park was acclimatised at the 11th hour. On Saturday, June 7, Picnic in the Park moved into Alderbury Village Hall and Social Club due to the poor weather forecast. However, the atmosphere remained fantastic as acts performed to a packed hall and food vendors set up in the park and traded well once the sun emerged. READ MORE: Organiser Colin Holton said: "All credit to the Alderbury committee for their sterling effort in bringing it off so professionally and big thanks to the brilliant people of Alderbury for supporting the event, they certainly know how to have fun." Sunday, June 8 saw improved weather for the Acoustic Sunday at the George & Dragon pub. Sounds of Salisbury programmed and facilitated the celebration of some of the most popular acoustic acts. Acoustic Sunday has now become a mainstay in the Salisbury Live festival programme and this year's event was busy from start to finish.
