Blake Lively loses bid to hide private texts with Taylor Swift in Justin Baldoni legal case
It's a cruel summer.
Justin Baldoni can officially gain access to Blake Lively and Taylor Swift's private messages that pertain to 'It Ends With Us,' US District Judge Lewis Liman ruled on Wednesday.
In court documents obtained by The Post, Judge Liman denied Lively's motion for a protective order to hide her messages with Swift, 35, from Baldoni, 41, amidst their ongoing legal battle.

The ruling stated that since Lively, 37, 'has represented that Swift had knowledge of complaints or discussions about the working environment on the film,' the requests for her messages with the 'Style' singer 'are reasonably tailored to discover information that would prove or disprove Lively's harassment and retaliation claims.'
But Judge Liman did note that the messages must be related to the 2024 film or Lively and Baldoni's legal case.

He also stated that the parties' pre-exesting protective order will cover the messages to prevent them from leaking to the press.
According to the ruling, Lively's lawyers made a proposal to Baldoni's team in which she would hand over all documents related to the case, except her messages with Swift, in return that Baldoni produced 'all video footage related to the film and full, unredacted versions of communication' listed in Baldoni's complaint.
Baldoni's team ultimately declined Lively's bargain.

Lively's spokesperson told The Post in a statement: 'The Court outright denied the Wayfarer Parties' motion to compel documents from Ms. Lively, who has produced far more documents in this case than the Wayfarer Parties combined. Further, the Court's protective order ruling rests on the Wayfarer Parties' admission that they received nothing from Taylor Swift, which is exactly the opposite of what their 'insider' claimed two weeks ago.'

'As for the rest, Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties demanded access to Taylor Swift's private communications—despite having already subpoenaed and then withdrawn that subpoena,' the statement continued. 'Baldoni's desire to drag Taylor Swift into this has been constant dating back to August 2024, when the crisis PR firm led by Melissa Nathan included her in their 'Scenario Planning' document, referred to her as a bully, and called for a strategy to influence the 'TS fanbase.' We will continue to call out Baldoni's relentless efforts to exploit Ms Swift's popularity, which from day one has been nothing more than a distraction from the serious sexual harassment and retaliation accusations he and the Wayfarer parties are facing.'

The Post has reached out to Baldoni's attorney and Swift's rep for comment.
In May, Swift was subpoenaed as a witness by Baldoni's legal team in the never-ending 'It Ends With Us' legal nightmare.
But in a shocking move by Baldoni's legal team, they dropped the subpoena on May 22 after a representative for Swift denied she had any involvement in the drama.

'Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see 'It Ends With Us' until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,' the rep told The Post in response to the original subpoena.
The 'Lover' singer was mentioned in Baldoni's $400 million countersuit against the actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds, in which Baldoni accused Lively of calling Swift and Reynolds, 48, her 'dragons' and referring to herself as Khaleesi from 'Game of Thrones' in an alleged text conversation.

Baldoni further alleged that Swift was present for a pivotal meeting he had with Lively at her and Reynolds' NYC penthouse about rewriting the infamous 'It Ends With Us' rooftop scene.
Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, later issued a letter to Judge Liman, claiming he was told by an anonymous source that Lively's lead lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, allegedly threatened to release Swift's text messages if the 'You Need to Calm Down' hitmaker didn't publicly support Blake.

Gottlieb denied the allegations — and the judge granted Lively's motion to strike the letter, calling Freedman's filing 'improper' and 'irrelevant' in the order obtained by The Post.
Lively and Swift's friendship has allegedly suffered due to the legal case.
'Even though Taylor has totally cut ties with her, Blake hasn't with Taylor,' a source recently told the Daily Mail, claiming that Lively has been 'ignoring' her former bestie, who is the godmother of Lively and Reynolds' three daughters.

The source further claimed that Swift is icing out Lively because she feels 'betrayed' and 'exploited' by the 'Gossip Girl' alum.
The legal battle began when Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, claiming he sexually harassed her while filming 'It Ends With Us.' She also accused him of spearheading a smear campaign against her and of an intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Baldoni, who denied the allegations, countersued Lively and Reynolds in January, alleging extortion and defamation.
But the $400 million lawsuit was dismissed by Judge Liman earlier this month, as was Baldoni's $250 million defamation lawsuit against the New York Times.
The legal case is still scheduled to go to trial in March 2026.

‘28 Days Later' franchise: Box-office success on modest budgets for the zombie apocalypse film series
More than two decades after the release of 28 Days Later, the third installment in the zombie-apocalypse film franchise has been released. 28 Years Later picks up almost three decades after the release of a dangerous virus that turned humans into zombie-like creatures that plagued the streets of London. 28 Years Later tells the post-apocalyptic story of a group of survivors on a small island from which a father and his son leave and discover what has happened to the outside world. Here's how much the first two films in the iconic British zombie franchise have made at the box office. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter Eamonn M. McCormack/Getty Images Each movie in the 28 Days Later franchise has its own storyline, and the main characters are different in each film. Here's a synopsis of each film in the trilogy, which spans more than two decades. 28 Days Later The series' first film, released in 2002, centers around a few survivors. Jim is a bicycle courier played by Cillian Murphy (who won the Best Actor award at the Oscars for the titular role in Oppenheimer in 2023). Naomie Harris (who played Eve Moneypenny in the James Bond films opposite Daniel Craig's 007) portrays Selena, who saves Jim from the infected before the two travel together. The film focuses on the aftermath of the Rage virus that was accidentally released by a group of animal-rights activists from a medical research laboratory testing monkeys. After nearly a month of the initial infection, this group encounters other survivors whose outlook on survival differs from theirs. 28 Weeks Later The second film, released in 2007, takes place more than half a year after the initial release of the virus and is a follow-up to the events of 28 Days Later, but with different characters and a different story. In the U.K., survivors are rounded up to live in an area in central London controlled by the U.S. military. One infected person infiltrates the compound, and a group of survivors attempts to flee the city on foot. 28 Years Later The third film focuses on survivors who live on a small island in the 28 years after the virus infected the general population of the U.K. Related: 'How to Train Your Dragon': Which film made the most money? 28 Days Later can be viewed without a paid subscription on Pluto TV and on paid streaming services, including Amazon Prime. 28 Weeks Later is available on Hulu, which requires a subscription plan, but it can also be streamed for free on Tubi. The budget for 28 Years Later is modest compared to other much-anticipated movies of 2025, such as Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning. The reported budget for 28 Years Later is $75 million, the highest among the movies in the trilogy. A retrospective of the Tom Cruise action franchise Danny Boyle returns to direct the third installment of the 28 Days Later franchise, after helming the first film. After 28 Days Later, Boyle became an in-demand director, heading up notable films including Slumdog Millionaire (2008), a film about an economically struggling teenager trying to answer trivia questions on the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. He also directed 127 Hours (2010), a true story about a stranded hiker's fight for survival, and Yesterday (2019), a movie about a musician's shift to an alternative life in a world without the Beatles. 28 Years Later also marks the return of Alex Garland, who was the writer of the first film. Columbia Pictures is one of the big companies that produced 28 Years Later. Sony Pictures Releasing is distributing the film. 28 Days Later helped to revive interest in a genre that first started decades earlier. George A. Romeo was among the first filmmakers about zombies, putting out Night of the Living Dead in 1968 and follow-up films over the next 40 years. Boyle helped to bring back interest in the genre with 28 Days Later, which featured fast-moving zombies, in an engaging, dramatic storyline. The film has been highly influential on subsequent zombie media, and its themes have permeated countless other movies and TV shows. In one of the opening scenes of the first movie, Cillian Murphy's character wakes up to a deserted London at the dawn of the zombie apocalypse. It's a scene that's been replicated by other characters on other movies and television shows, including Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, in the popular The Walking Dead series, which first aired in 2010. Other zombie-related films, ranging from horror and drama to comedy, included World War Z (2013), Zombieland (2009), and Train to Busan (2016). Popular TV shows included Black Summer (2019), Z Nation (2014), and Ash vs Evil Dead (2015). Stagwell CEO Mark Penn on how Sport Beach became ultimate Cannes Lions destination for athletes and celebs: ‘Bigger and better'
CANNES — The hottest ticket at Cannes Lions was Stagwell's Sport Beach. For the third straight year, the multi-day sports, fandom and marketing event returned to the Cannes International Festival of Creativity — and, for the first time, served as the 'official sports partner' of the festival from June 16-19. It was the premier destination for both current and retired professional athletes, celebrities and executives to meet, collaborate and get creative while enjoying scenic views of the French Riviera. 7 Sport Beach is the hottest ticket of Cannes Lions. Erik Messori 7 The Post's Jenna Lemoncelli (l.) speaks with Mark Penn (r.) at Sport Beach in Cannes. Erik Messori This year's starry roster featured the likes of Basketball Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony, 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams, retired professional soccer player and Olympic gold medalist Megan Rapinoe, four-time WNBA champion Sue Bird, World Series champ Alex Rodriguez and three-time NBA champion Dwyane Wade, to name a few. Stagwell chairman and CEO Mark Penn has the formula figured out when it comes to marrying sports, news and entertainment. 'I think when we started three years ago, we were Stagwell — who knew Stagwell?' Penn told The Post. 'We were an up-and-coming holding company that really nobody knew. And we had to say, well, 'How are we going to get ourselves known?' What are we gonna create?' 'I put it out to the agencies, give us some ideas. And they came up with the idea of Sport Beach, some folks at [full-service creative agency] 72andSunny, and we said 'yes,' and best to do in the corporate team, ran it, and the first year it was just a clear success.' 7 Carmelo Anthony speaks at a panel at Sport Beach. Erik Messori Penn then detailed the path to building on that success. 'I always talk about 'Godfather' syndrome. Okay, well, the first one was really path-breaking. The second one was the best. And then you have to worry that the third one went downhill. So, I think we met the challenge, the third is not downhill,' he said. '… I think in general, too, the economy is better. I think more people are here, more people are in a good mood to go hear about sports. And so I think we aimed for bigger and better, and we got bigger and better.' Penn's career spans 40 years in market research, advertising, public relations, polling, and consulting. He has advised top world leaders, including presidents, led companies and written two bestselling books. 7 Of Sport Beach, Mark Penn told The Post, 'We aimed for bigger and better, and we got bigger and better.' Erik Messori A self-described 'news junkie,' Penn explained why he was intentional in leaning heavily into sport when it came to launching Stagwell's Sport Beach. 'I think the world is made up of news junkies, sports junkies and entertainment junkies,' he said. 'I personally am more of a news junkie. But I have to recognize that they were right, that this was a moment for sports, because sports is a very unifying element in our culture. 'No matter what team you root for, you actually feel you have something in common with the people who are rooting on the other side. And you come together, I think, in the admiration of the winner in sports… and plus, it was a very practical thing. 'The athletes needed to get closer to the brands, because many of the athletes now are saying, 'You know what, my career is not just the couple of years I can play at the top of my game. But I need a long life in terms of a brand for representing what I've done.' And the brands are super interested in getting close to the athletes, so we also created a marketplace for that.' 7 Alex Rodriguez (c.) was among the panelists at Sport Beach in 2025. Ella Pellegrini One of the many indicators that Stagwell's Sport Beach was a success early on was that athletes weren't just attending and participating in a panel and leaving — they stayed and continued to come back year after year. Anthony, Bird and Rapinoe have participated in Stagwell's Sport Beach since its inception in 2022. 'I think the first year, you're giving people a promise and it doesn't exist,' Penn said. '… But the first thing we thought would happen is [that] the athletes would come in and they'd be here for a half hour, and as soon as their panel was over, they'd cut out. This is just not what happened. 'This is cool. And they hung out, and they got to know us all here at Stagwell, and now it became a regular thing, like this is part of their year, to come show up, so I'm really pleased it worked out that way.' The world's top athletes and entrepreneurs essentially had trust and believed in Penn, taking a gamble on the idea he and his team at Stagwell were presenting. 7 Carmelo Anthony has been part of Sport Beach since its inception. Erik Messori 'It wasn't that we gave them an incredible sales job or had million-dollar checks, it really was that they… came to enjoy it, their agents said, 'Hey, this is good for you and your career. Where else are you going to get 50 brands together in a room that you can talk to?' 'So I think all of those things made sense, but I think there was a personal element here where they frankly felt comfortable. And also, where else do they kind of get to meet fellow athletes, really across all of these different sports at the same time, with the same goal of what kind of life are we going to have after sports?' Penn moderated the 'Future of News: Why News Junkies are the Real MVPs' panel on Wednesday, which unpacked the business case for investing in high-quality media environments of news — a topic that is close to him. 7 The scene from Sport Beach at Cannes Lions. Erik Messori '… So we did a big study and we placed the same ad in all sorts of different environments and across different news stories, a sports story, an entertainment story, a presidential campaign story. We did the same, okay? All this stuff about the brand safety, you wouldn't want Boeing to have an ad in the middle of the India story. I mean, there are certain things. But by and large, it was bunk, right? And close to 40 or 50 percent, I think, of CMOs and companies don't advertise on news. So, as a result, good journalism is not supported. '… We need to get CMOs advertising in news, sports, and entertainment based on the results, not on a false sense of brand safety. Otherwise it means, frankly, paywalls have to be higher or there will be fewer journalists and fewer journalistic outlets.' Penn went on to tease a special surprise on the final day of Stagwell's Sport Beach on Thursday. 'Come and be here for the closing,' he said. 'We usually say the biggest secret, the most interesting kind of event for the end.'

Past and current Ravens greats land on quarter-century NFL all-star team
Past and current Ravens greats land on quarter-century NFL all-star team A dozen Ravens made the cut as ESPN releases its NFL all-quarter-century team. With men, particularly alpha males, it all comes back to thoughts about legacy at some point. We've repeatedly seen Baltimore Ravens stars of the past and present discuss their mortality (and immortality). Guys play and have played this great game that we love to support their families. They play for championships. Some have even played with hopes that their busts will be carved and placed in the hallowed halls of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Still, there's nothing like respect. There is nothing like knowing one's peers and competition see them as equals. ESPN released one of the more unique all-star teams that most fans and football pundits have seen as of late. This one is certainly worth a discussion. A dozen Ravens deservingly land on ESPN's NFL All Quarter Century team. The first 25 years of the millennium are in our rearview mirror. The worldwide leader in sports did us all a solid. Aaron Scahtz and Seth Walder crafted ESPN's NFL All Quarter Century team. A dozen Ravens made the list, 11 former and one current. Some enjoyed longer tenures than others, but even though there isn't really a Baltimore comp for 'Once a Raider, always a Raider', everyone on this list still gets love from the home crowd. Priest Holmes (1997-2000) Priest Holmes will, more than likely, be remembered as a Kansas City Chiefs star, but his NFL journey began in Charm City. An undrafted free agent in 1997, he is clearly one of the best pro football players of all time to earn that distinction. Derrick Henry (2024-present) The lone current Raven on this list, Derrick Henry almost became the first two-time member of the 2k club in his debut season with The Flock. More is coming as he is already a Hall of Famer with more good football left in him. Marshal Yanda (2007-19) How good was Marshal Yanda? Each of his 13 NFL seasons was spent with The Flock. When he was done playing, he had notched two First-team All-Pro nods, five Second-team All-Pro mentions, and eight trips to the Pro Bowl roster. He's a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. He's also a Super Bowl champion. Canton is calling his name one day. Kyle Juszczyk (2013-16) One of the greatest fullbacks of all time, Kyle Juszcyk traded Ravens purple for a trip out west to play in the NFL in 2017. Even though eight of his nine Pro Bowls were earned somewhere else, he spent four seasons with the good guys. Willie Anderson (2008) Willie Anderson only spent one year with the Ravens after spending his first dozen seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. That's okay, though. He found his way onto the right side during his final NFL season. Here's some love for the big guy. Calais Campbell (2020-22) One of the great guys in the NFL. It feels like Calais Campbell has been playing football since the early '90s. He's seen six NFL locker rooms since entering the NFL in 2008 and spent three years with The Flock not too long ago. Ray Lewis (1996-2012) Truth be told, this one is pretty obvious. If Ray Lewis isn't on this roster, it must be thrown out almost immediately. He spent every season of his career with Baltimore. He won two Super Bowls, earning MVP honors in his first appearance. Ed Reed (2002-12) Ed's resume is like Ray's. It's too extensive to list here in its entirety, but as stated with Mr. Lewis, if Reed isn't on this all-star team, the list loses credibility almost immediately. Earl Thomas III (2019) Yet another of the one-hit wonders. Earl Thomas will join the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a Seattle Seahawks legend, but his lone season in Baltimore birthed good results: 49 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, four pass breakups, and a forced fumble during the regular season. He then notched seven tackles and a sack during his lone playoff game. That's good enough to remember his time in Baltimore fondly. Justin Tucker (2012-24) Though it's unfortunate how things ended, Justin Tucker is indeed one of the great kickers in NFL history. He left Baltimore owning the NFL records for the longest goal (66 yards) and the highest career field goal percentage (89.1%) Devin Hester (2016) Devin Hester owns the NFL records for most career return touchdowns (20) and most career punt return touchdowns (14). He is tied for the most return touchdowns in a single season (6). If only Baltimore could have had him on the roster for a little longer than they did. Morgan Cox (2010-20) Morgan Cox didn't enjoy the thrill of playing one of football's sexier positions, but mull this one over. No one really thinks about the importance of a long snapper until their team has one who isn't effective. He deserves his spot on this list. He's one of the great Ravens of the past quarter century.
