Blake Lively loses bid to hide private texts with Taylor Swift in Justin Baldoni legal case
Justin Baldoni can officially gain access to Blake Lively and Taylor Swift's private messages that pertain to 'It Ends With Us,' US District Judge Lewis Liman ruled on Wednesday.
In court documents obtained by The Post, Judge Liman denied Lively's motion for a protective order to hide her messages with Swift, 35, from Baldoni, 41, amidst their ongoing legal battle.

The ruling stated that since Lively, 37, 'has represented that Swift had knowledge of complaints or discussions about the working environment on the film,' the requests for her messages with the 'Style' singer 'are reasonably tailored to discover information that would prove or disprove Lively's harassment and retaliation claims.'
But Judge Liman did note that the messages must be related to the 2024 film or Lively and Baldoni's legal case.

He also stated that the parties' pre-exesting protective order will cover the messages to prevent them from leaking to the press.
According to the ruling, Lively's lawyers made a proposal to Baldoni's team in which she would hand over all documents related to the case, except her messages with Swift, in return that Baldoni produced 'all video footage related to the film and full, unredacted versions of communication' listed in Baldoni's complaint.
Baldoni's team ultimately declined Lively's bargain.

Lively's spokesperson told The Post in a statement: 'The Court outright denied the Wayfarer Parties' motion to compel documents from Ms. Lively, who has produced far more documents in this case than the Wayfarer Parties combined. Further, the Court's protective order ruling rests on the Wayfarer Parties' admission that they received nothing from Taylor Swift, which is exactly the opposite of what their 'insider' claimed two weeks ago.'

'As for the rest, Justin Baldoni and the Wayfarer parties demanded access to Taylor Swift's private communications—despite having already subpoenaed and then withdrawn that subpoena,' the statement continued. 'Baldoni's desire to drag Taylor Swift into this has been constant dating back to August 2024, when the crisis PR firm led by Melissa Nathan included her in their 'Scenario Planning' document, referred to her as a bully, and called for a strategy to influence the 'TS fanbase.' We will continue to call out Baldoni's relentless efforts to exploit Ms Swift's popularity, which from day one has been nothing more than a distraction from the serious sexual harassment and retaliation accusations he and the Wayfarer parties are facing.'

The Post has reached out to Baldoni's attorney and Swift's rep for comment.
In May, Swift was subpoenaed as a witness by Baldoni's legal team in the never-ending 'It Ends With Us' legal nightmare.
But in a shocking move by Baldoni's legal team, they dropped the subpoena on May 22 after a representative for Swift denied she had any involvement in the drama.

'Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see 'It Ends With Us' until weeks after its public release, and was traveling around the globe during 2023 and 2024 headlining the biggest tour in history,' the rep told The Post in response to the original subpoena.
The 'Lover' singer was mentioned in Baldoni's $400 million countersuit against the actress and her husband Ryan Reynolds, in which Baldoni accused Lively of calling Swift and Reynolds, 48, her 'dragons' and referring to herself as Khaleesi from 'Game of Thrones' in an alleged text conversation.

Baldoni further alleged that Swift was present for a pivotal meeting he had with Lively at her and Reynolds' NYC penthouse about rewriting the infamous 'It Ends With Us' rooftop scene.
Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, later issued a letter to Judge Liman, claiming he was told by an anonymous source that Lively's lead lawyer, Michael Gottlieb, allegedly threatened to release Swift's text messages if the 'You Need to Calm Down' hitmaker didn't publicly support Blake.

Gottlieb denied the allegations — and the judge granted Lively's motion to strike the letter, calling Freedman's filing 'improper' and 'irrelevant' in the order obtained by The Post.
Lively and Swift's friendship has allegedly suffered due to the legal case.
'Even though Taylor has totally cut ties with her, Blake hasn't with Taylor,' a source recently told the Daily Mail, claiming that Lively has been 'ignoring' her former bestie, who is the godmother of Lively and Reynolds' three daughters.

The source further claimed that Swift is icing out Lively because she feels 'betrayed' and 'exploited' by the 'Gossip Girl' alum.
The legal battle began when Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, claiming he sexually harassed her while filming 'It Ends With Us.' She also accused him of spearheading a smear campaign against her and of an intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

Baldoni, who denied the allegations, countersued Lively and Reynolds in January, alleging extortion and defamation.
But the $400 million lawsuit was dismissed by Judge Liman earlier this month, as was Baldoni's $250 million defamation lawsuit against the New York Times.
The legal case is still scheduled to go to trial in March 2026.

'Beyoncé Bowl,' Super Bowl choreographer started working with Madonna in high school
From the "Beyoncé' Bowl" to the Super Bowl, Charm La'Donna has choreographed some of pop culture's defining moments. Now, she joins a rarefied group as only the fourth Black woman ever nominated for an Emmy in choreography. This year, La'Donna earned two Emmy nominations for outstanding choreography for variety or reality programming — one for her contribution to Beyoncé's NFL Christmas Day halftime show and another for Kendrick Lamar's history-making Super Bowl halftime performance. Both stand among the most talked-about cultural moments of the past year. "The 'Beyoncé Bowl' was my first time working with Beyoncé, and it was just a beyond amazing experience for me," La'Donna says. "I'm so grateful and blessed to be able to work with amazing artists across the board — Beyoncé and Kendrick included. I feel like every project that I work on has some impact on me." The two nods make her the fourth Black woman in history to be recognized in the choreography category at the Emmys, joining Debbie Allen, Chloé Arnold and her mentor Fatima Robinson. And while her work has been showcased on some of the world's biggest stages and tours, she greets the recent recognition with a humble heart. 'I don't even know if I have the words, to be honest," she says. "The first thing I say is that I'm blessed and grateful. I'm still in shock. It's an honor just to be acknowledged on this type of platform. It's definitely a dream come true." Born Charmaine La'Donna Jordan, the Compton, California, native was raised by her mom and grandmother and began dance training at age 3. Her career blossomed early, with formal studies at Regina's School of the Arts before she attended Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. By the age of 10, she was cast in a video under Robinson, who took her under her wing. At 17, while still in high school, Madonna hired her as a choreographer. La'Donna went on to earn a bachelor's degree in world arts and cultures from the University of California, Los Angeles while continuing to work professionally. "Being from where I'm from and from Compton, and growing up in the city of Los Angeles, that is very heavily rooted in who I am, how I move and my experiences," La'Donna says. Inspired by hip-hop and R&B, her style mixes street and formal training with a focus on musicality and emotion. However, she sees herself as more than just a choreographer. She's also a storyteller, tastemaker and soon-to-be-director. "I call myself a hybrid. I have trained in many different styles, art forms of dance, and I feel like all of the styles that I've been able to study are blended well and put out through me," she says. "So I take my experiences, I look at the world, and I'm able to blend it in my body, and God allowed me to move and put it out." While this year marks her first two Emmy nods, she has an impressive track record. She has collaborated with top musicians including The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Shakira, Selena Gomez, Megan Trainor and Pharrell Williams. La'Donna was recently nominated for best choreography at this year's MTV's Video Music Awards for Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us' video. Last year, she took home the same award for her work on Dua Lipa's 'Houdini.' She's now looking to expand into TV and film, launch mentorship programs for dancers and step into directing. "I think the accolades are beautiful and we work toward them, but I love the process," she says. "I love the work that goes into creating the art for whoever to see. You're talking to the little girl who used to choreograph in her room by herself, and now I see my work all over the world." Produced by Beyoncé's Parkwood Entertainment and Jesse Collins Entertainment, the "Beyoncé Bowl", which is now standalone special on Netflix, received four nods at the 2025 Emmys. Kendrick Lamar also garnered four nods for his Super Bowl performance. While the award show is slated for next month, Beyoncé already earned her first Emmy for outstanding costumes for variety, nonfiction or reality programming as a costume designer along with other members of her team. This year's Primetime Emmys will be Sept. 14 in Los Angeles. Follow Caché McClay, the USA TODAY Network's Beyoncé Knowles-Carter reporter, on Instagram, TikTok and X as @cachemcclay.

Former ‘Home Improvement' star Patricia Richardson looks unrecognizable ahead of reunion with castmates
A former sitcom star might have fans doing a double-take when she reunites with her ex-castmates on the small screen this fall. 'Home Improvement' actress Patricia Richardson looks nearly unrecognizable since she portrayed Jill Taylor on the popular ABC sitcom starring Tim Allen throughout most of the '90s. The 74-year-old no longer has a chestnut brown bob, like the one she flaunted during the seven-time Emmy Award-winning show that followed the work and family life of Tim 'The Tool Man' Taylor. 4 Patricia Richardson started growing her hair out during the COVID-19 pandemic. Getty Images Richardson now rocks a head of shock white hair, which she started growing out during the COVID-19 pandemic. 'Ok here we have covid hair grow out,' she captioned in an Instagram post showing the stark difference between her dyed hair and white roots in Oct. 2020. 'Just don't want to cut it! So…. new covid fashion raccoon hair?' Fans flooded her comment section, cheering on her 'beautiful' and natural style which she seemingly kept over recent years. Richardson flaunted her white hair during a 2021 episode of 'NCIS' and also showed off her mane on the red carpet for the premiere of 'Chantilly Bridge' in March 2023 and during a SAG-AFTRA event in Los Angeles in December 2023. Richardson will soon reunite with her former 'Home Improvement' husband and some of her former co-stars during the Season 2 premiere of Allen's current ABC show, 'Shifting Gears,' according to a report by Deadline. 4 Richardson flaunted a chestnut brown bob when she was on 'Home Improvement.' The reunion comes over 25 years after 'Home Improvement' ended in 1999. Richard Karn, known for playing Al Borland in 'Home Improvement,' and Debbe Dunning, who portrayed 'Tool Time Girl' Heidi Keppert in the '90s show, will appear alongside Richardson in Allen's show about a widowed owner of a car restoration shop, the outlet reported. It's not been revealed which fictional roles the trio of guest stars will play in the upcoming premiere but the cast is supposed to help Allen's fictional character, Matt Parker, in an 'unexpected way,' per Deadline. 4 'Home Improvement' ran for eight seasons on ABC in the '90s. ©Touchstone Television/Courtesy Everett Collection The Season 2 premiere of 'Shifting Gears' won't be the first time Richardson has reunited with Allen, 72, on television. The four-time Emmy Award-nominee appeared as Helen Potts, an inconsiderate neighbor, in two episodes of his 'Last Man Standing' series in 2015 and 2016. Richardson has maintained her career since 'Home Improvement' ended. She portrayed Dr. Andy Campbell in dozens of episodes of 'Strong Medicine,' political strategist Sheila Brooks in 'The West Wing' and had a series of guest star roles on shows like 'Grey's Anatomy,' 'NCIS' and 'The Blacklist.'
