NEED TO KNOW Malcolm-Jamal Warner has died, PEOPLE confirms He was 54 He was best known for playing Bill Cosby's son on The Cosby Warner has died, a source confirms to PEOPLE. He was 54. A rep for Warner did not immediately to a request for comment. Warner's career began with his role as Theo Huxtable on . The actor played the only son of Bill Cosby's character, Heathcliff Huxtable, in the sitcom from 1984 to 1992. In 2023, Warner told PEOPLE of the show, "I know I can speak for all the cast when I say The Cosby Show is something that we are all still very proud of." "We share a unique experience that keeps us lovingly bonded no matter how much time goes between seeing or hearing from each other." Warner did, of course, acknowledge how the show's legacy had changed given the allegations made against Cosby, 88, who was convicted of sexual assault in 2018 but later had the charge overturned in 2021, only for five more women to accuse him of sexual assault. "Regardless of how some people may feel about the show now, I'm still proud of the legacy and having been a part of such an iconic show that had such a profound impact on — first and foremost, Black culture — but also American culture," Warner said. NASCAR Power Rankings: Our updated top 10 drivers list. Denny Hamlin gets a grip
A week ago, it was suggested Denny Hamlin's hold on our top spot here was weakening. Scratch that thought. As the late, great Barney Hall would say, Denny drove the wheels off that Toyota Sunday at Dover. On older tires, through two restarts, and even losing the lead by a few feet on the next-to-last lap, he prevailed. Might it have been different if the two dudes battling with him in the later laps hadn't been teammates? Might, say, a Kyle Larson or Chase Elliott have approached with sharper elbows if given the chance? Don't know. Doesn't matter. Here we go ... 1. Denny Hamlin First to four wins this season, closing in on all-time top 10. 2. Chase Elliott On a good little roll but probably should've won at Dover. 3. Chase Briscoe Two straight runner-up finishes. Mitchell native races close to Indy home this week. 4. Kyle Larson Did decent Dover reset his summer? Brickyard will tell us where this team now sits. 5. Tyler Reddick One Ty too many. He won't race for a million bucks at Indy. 6. Alex Bowman Will finish seventh this week as he continues turning around his 2025. 7. Christopher Bell Bad on ovals since late spring. How about rectangular ovals? 8. Chris Buescher Needs to dial in his iron play because he's spent too much time on the fringes this season. 9. Ryan Blaney The Penske team has some home-court advantage this week. Does Roger cook breakfast? 10. Joey Logano 0-for-16 on the Brickyard oval and road course, combined. Auburn earns surprising historical ranking despite recent lull
The Auburn Tigers have not really been as nationally relevant in recent years. They haven't won a title since Cam Newton dragged them through the SEC in one of the single most impressive runs of all time. They've had good seasons since 2010, but haven't really ever reached that height again. Despite that, their historical success cannot be counted out. So when assessing a value for a hypothetical trade, The Athletic's Matt Baker accounted for that. There will never be a sale since these schools cannot operate like NFL teams no matter what the transfer portal and NIL do to college sports, but if there was a sale, the Tigers would bring in an impressive $1.06 billion, the 13th-best mark among all programs. That's more money than the Oregon Ducks, Florida State Seminoles, and Michigan State Spartans would bring in despite Auburn seemingly falling on hard times lately. They're far from the caliber of program they once were, but that doesn't matter as much with the Tigers. "Like Florida, the Tigers have been in an on-field funk. The national championship trophy Auburn won with Cam Newton is almost old enough to get its driver's license," Baker said. "We slotted the Tigers behind the Gators because Florida remains the flagship school of a large, still-growing state. Auburn is No. 2 in Alabama, a state with a quarter of the residents (5.2 million)." So despite a run that has yielded double-digit wins just twice since 2010 and has four seasons under .500 in that frame, the Tigers are still a supremely valuable college football program.
