Former Muvhango actress Buhle Samuels is making headlines after fraud allegations were filed against her.
The seasoned actress is accused of fraud and forgery in connection with a sleek Porsche SUV. The car in question was posted on social media as a birthday present she had given to herself.
On Wednesday, the former Muvhango actress appeared at the Alexandra Magistrate's Court. The court heard the actress forged signatures and fabricated corporate paperwork to obtain the expensive car.
T he Kings of Joburg actress posted the alleged car in August 2024. She captioned the post 'an early birthday gift. From me to me.'
Against the post, fans were more than convinced it was a private purchase. The sleek Porsche SUV is currently being held as evidence while investigations are ongoing.
Rumour has it that law enforcement seized it. According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Samuels will appear in court on May 16.
Against the reports, Buhle Samuels has since shared her story. Speaking to the popular gossip page, Maphephandaba , the actress said the allegations were false.
She also noted that she could not share more details because the matter was already in court. Samuels also warned those spreading the rumours about her to refrain from doing so.
She said, 'It's a legal matter, so I can not get into the nitty gritty currently. What I can categorically state is that the accusations are very false, and legal action will be taken against anyone who endorses these falsehoods.
'I'd prefer for you not to run with this until the matter is resolved. The truth will reveal itself in due course. The truth will reveal itself in due course.'
