Part-time instructor at Fresno State University calls for death of Trump, Musk
"I have a dream for this to happen much sooner rather than later," part-time instructor Katherine Shurik posted on Instagram on Jan. 11, 2025.
The post included a photo of Trump in a casket with former president George W. Bush and former first lady Laura Bush, former president Bill Clinton and former first lady Hillary Clinton, former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama and first lady Melania Trump all looking on.

She included the hashtags, "#FelonTrump #TraitorTrump #RapistTrump #DieTrump #TrumpDead," in the Instagram post.
A video of Shurik posted Saturday on X by the account Oreo Express showed her saying that she would give extra credit to her students who attended a protest against Elon Musk and Tesla.

Saturday was the "Tesla Takedown's Global Day of Action," which included over 200 protests across the country. The website for the effort instructs people to "Sell your Teslas, dump your stock, join the picket lines. We're tanking Tesla's stock price to stop Musk. Stopping Musk will help save lives and protect our democracy."
Musk, the founder and CEO of Tesla, has struck the ire of Americans across the country for his auditing of programs and departments in the federal government for efficiency and eliminating redundancy.
Since January, multiple Tesla dealerships as well as Tesla vehicles have been vandalized by protesters.

In the X video posted by Oreo Express, Shurik says, "I'm Katherine Shurik, I am actually trying to get a NOW chapter, National Organization of Women off the ground here in Fresno, I'm an anthropologist and a professor at the university here."
She added, "I teach an activist anthropology course. I am trying to get my students involved as well. The next week they do get extra credit for coming to the protest."
On Facebook, Shurik shared a photo of a tombstone that had the words inscribed, "Donald J. Trump, June 14, 1946 to now would be good," according to a report from The San Joaquin Valley Sun.
Shurik added words to the post that read, "And take Musk and the rest of the Nazi (Republican) party members with you too!"
Another post shared on Instagram by Shurik says "Marked safe from watching a lying terrorist rapist, who wants to eliminate the Constitution swear to abide by the Constitution."
In a statement to Fox News Digital, Fresno State University said, "While Fresno State firmly believes in the principles of free speech, we strongly condemn the abhorrent social media posts and comments made by one of our part-time instructors."
The university added that, "As these views were published by the employee as a private citizen, they do not represent our University in any way. Fresno State firmly denounces wishes of death against any elected official, particularly the President of the United States – these go against our core educational values and are not consistent with our Principles of Community. As Americans and educators, we pride ourselves on democratic dialogue, not words of derision and contempt about the most important political figure of our country."

Illinois State Police trooper hurt in crash involving drunk driver on Ronald Reagan Memorial Tollway
An Illinois State Police trooper was hurt after their squad car was hit by an alleged drunk driver on the Ronald Regan Memorial Tollway early Sunday morning. State police said the crash happened shortly after 4 a.m. on I-88 westbound at milepost 139 in DuPage County. The involved trooper was assisting another motorist and was parked behind a broken-down tractor-trailer with emergency lights activated. During this, the driver of a Tesla failed to move over and hit the rear passenger side of the squad car, causing it to hit the rear of the tractor-trailer, state police said. The trooper was inside the squad car at the time of the crash. Both the trooper and Tesla driver were taken to area hospitals with injuries. The Tesla driver, 24-year-old Sebastian G. Rodriguez of Romeoville, Illinois, was charged with Driving Under the Influence and Aggravated Scott's Law/Move Over Law violations. The trooper's squad car had to be towed from the scene due to disabling damage from the crash. According to state police, there have already been nine Move Over Law-related crashes this year. In 2024, there were 27 Move Over Law-related crashes with 12 troopers injured and one death.

A Long Island teen who needed 17 stitches when another girl's mom allegedly bashed her with a metal 'Stanley' water mug says she's too traumatized to return to school — much less ever use the brand of cup again. 'I'm shaking all the time,' said Madison Evans, a 14-year-old student at Brentwood High School, to The Post. 'I can't even look at those cups anymore. Every time I see one, it just brings it all back.' Madison said her horrific ordeal began when she was leaving summer school as usual one day at Brentwood last week and was approached by two girls she had never spoken to before. 7 Madison Evans, a 14-year-old student at Brentwood High School, needed 17 stitches when another girl's mom allegedly hit her with a metal 'Stanley' water mug, and is 'shaking all the time.' ABC 7 NY The girls, including a 15-year-old, have issues with her cousin, which made her a target by extension, Madison said. When the pair began bullying Madison outside the Suffolk County school, she verbally pushed back, she said. In a video obtained by The Post, Madison and one of the girls are seen arguing and being held back by security — while Toni Monroe, the 35-year-old mother of the 15-year-old, is standing next to her daughter and yelling. At one point, Monroe can be heard saying, 'Give me your Stanley' to her daughter, who obliges. The 15-year-old and Monroe then charge Madison, punching her and hitting her in the head multiple times with the cup, according to the video. 'Destroying democracy' — the latest theme of the left — can be defined in many ways. How about attempting to destroy constitutional, ancient and hallowed institutions simply to suit short-term political gains? So, who in 2020, and now once again, has boasted about packing the 156-year-old, nine-justice Supreme Court? Who talks frequently about destroying the 187-year-old Senate filibuster — though only when they hold a Senate majority? Who wants to bring in an insolvent left-wing Puerto Rico and redefine the 235-year-old District of Columbia — by altering the Constitution — as two new states solely to obtain four additional liberal senators? Who is trying to destroy the constitutionally mandated 235-year Electoral College by circumventing it with the surrogate 'The National Popular Vote Interstate Compact?' Does destroying democracy also entail weaponizing federal bureaucracies, turning them into rogue partisan arms of a president? So who ordered the CIA to concoct bogus charges of 'collusion' to sabotage Donald Trump's 2016 campaign, the 2016-2017 transition, and the first 22 months of Trump's first term? Who appointed a federal prosecutor to go after the ex-president, who arranged for a high-ranking Justice Department official to step down to join a New York prosecutor's efforts to destroy an ex-president, and who met in the White House with a Georgia county prosecutor seeking to destroy an ex-president — all on the same day — a mere 72 hours after Trump announced his 2024 reelection bid? Who but the current Democrats ever impeached a president twice? Has any party ever tried an ex-president in the Senate when he was out of office and a mere private citizen? When have there ever been two near-miss assassination attempts on a major party presidential candidate during a single presidential campaign? Who destroyed the southern border and broke federal law to allow in, without criminal or health background audits, some 10 million to 12 million illegal aliens? Who created 600 'sanctuary jurisdictions' for the sole purpose of nullifying federal immigration law, in the eerie spirit of the renegade old Confederacy? Who allowed tens of thousands of rioters, arsonists and violent protesters over four months in 2020 to destroy over $2 billion in property, kill some 35 people, injure 1,500 police officers and torch a federal courthouse, a police precinct and a historic church — all with de facto legal impunity? How do the purported destroyers of democracy find themselves winning 60% to 70% approval on most of the key issues of our times, while the supposed saviors of democracy are on the losing side of popular opinion? How does a president 'destroy democracy' by his party winning the White House by both the popular and Electoral College vote, winning majorities in both the Senate and House by popular votes and enjoying a 6-3 edge in the Supreme Court through judges appointed by popularly elected presidents? So what is behind these absurd charges? Three catalysts: One, the new anguished elitist Democratic Party alienated the middle classes through its Jacobin agenda and therefore lost the Congress, the presidency and the Supreme Court, and now has no federal political power. Two, the Democratic Party is polling at record lows and yet remains hellbent on alienating the traditional sources of its power — minorities, youth and Independents. Three, Democrats cannot find any issues that the people support, nor any leaders to convince the people to embrace them. So it is no surprise that the panicked Democrats bark at the shadows — given that they know their revolutionary, neo-socialist agenda is destroying them.
