Taylor Swift's Album Of The Year Winner Returns Amidst New Music Excitement

Forbes20 hours ago
Taylor Swift has made it abundantly clear that the latter half of 2025 will belong to her. The singer-songwriter recently announced a new album, The Life of a Showgirl, and in short order shared both its brightly-hued cover and its October 3 release date. Before any music from her latest era has been released, speculation about a new chapter has helped many of Swift's most popular projects rise in the United Kingdom, and one of her more recent sets returns to the most important list.
Midnights Returns to the U.K. Albums Chart
Midnights finds its way back to the Official Albums chart, the U.K.'s list that details the 100 most consumed full-lengths and EPs in the country. This frame, Swift's bestseller reenters at No. 92.
Folklore, The Tortured Poets Department, Reputation and Lover
With Midnights back on the all-encompassing Official Albums chart, Swift now claims five wins this week. Her other four titles — Folklore, The Tortured Poets Department, Reputation, and Lover — all climb from where they sat last time. This frame, they appear at Nos. 34, 49, 72, and 75, respectively.
Midnights Spent Five Weeks at No. 1
Midnights has not been absent from the Official Albums chart for long. The project last appeared in late June of this year, ending a years-long winning streak that began in May 2023.
Swift launched Midnights at No. 1 in November 2022. The project spent five frames leading the tally and a total of 57 turns somewhere between Nos. 1 and 10.
Half a Dozen Streaming Successes
As Midnights returns to the Official Albums chart, it also improves on the Official Albums Streaming ranking, pushing from No. 92 to No. 84. Swift fills half a dozen spots on that roster, as all five of her titles that live on the main albums tally are also streaming winners. 1989 also joins in on the run, as it rises from No. 99 to No. 97 on the streaming-only list, but fails to reenter the main albums list.
Midnights Produced Eight Hit Songs
Eight songs from Midnights reached the Official Singles chart during promotion of the title, but only 'Anti-Hero' but No. 1, where it spent six frames. 'Snow on the Beach,' her collaboration with Lana Del Rey, and 'Lavender Haze' also spent time inside the top 10, peaking at Nos. 4 and 3, respectively. Including deluxe editions of the full-length, the project produced additional top 40 wins like 'Karma,' 'Hits Different,' and 'You're Losing Me.'

Woman Reveals Her Lengthy List of Online Dating Dealbreakers After Getting Divorced 5 Years Ago: ‘Swipe Left Instantly'

From poor grammar to photos posing alongside a luxury car, the woman revealed several red flags she looks for when online dating NEED TO KNOW A woman is searching for love using dating apps after getting divorced five years ago In a post on Mumsnet, she revealed several factors on a dating profile that "instantly" put her off a man "Tell me your profile icks so I can take them on as my own and give up the whole business 😂," she wrote, encouraging people to join in the conversation A woman is revealing the things men include in their online dating profiles that 'instantly' put her off starting a conversation. The woman explained in a post on Mumsnet that after her divorce five years ago, she had a few 'perfectly pleasant' dates with men she met online but chose not to take things further. Having redownloaded the apps recently, she's been 'finding more and more reasons to swipe left instantly.' She acknowledged that her dealbreakers could be causing her to miss out on a great match, but argued men should 'put together a decent profile.' Listing her dislikes, she wrote, 'ENM [ethical non-monogamy], fish pictures (becoming less common), posing by someone else's expensive car, mentioning they are good with their hands, mouth, whatever.' The woman also admitted she dislikes men who gush about their children coming first on their profiles and those who make comments about looking for someone 'drama-free.' 'Topless pics out of context (Beach maybe okay, bedroom mirror selfie NO!),' she continued. 'No punctuation, aggressive don't match if you.... a,b,c, d comments. 'First pic of a large group of bros (he's the ugly one, always), bios starting with 'never know what to write here,' and lying about age with the obligatory 'actually 52 but can't change it' comment,' she added. The woman said repeatedly reading bios with flirtatious comments about slapping the bum when holding the door makes her want to vomit. Encouraging others to share their dealbreakers, she wrote, 'Anyway, really just letting out frustrations! Tell me your profile icks so I can take them on as my own and give up the whole business 😂.' Many responses to the post were amused by the woman's lengthy list of red flags as some commenters began to share their own dealbreakers. 'Too close up selfies with their phone covering 3/4 of their face usually taken in a public toilet wearing an obligatory hiviz vest,' one person wrote. 'I'm married now, but from my memories of my dating site times any profile which was all about what you should be and not about them.... 'not interested in any liars, cheaters, self-obsessed women, women with kids, women who are overweight' etc,' another said. 'It's fine to have preferences, but to use your opportunity to sell yourself to make some kind of anti-women commentary was always a massive ick for me.' 'It's been a while since I did OLD [online dating], but I do recall the women with that awful 'if you can't handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best' quote and giving them an instant swerve,' another user chimed in. Aldi employee says 'work a shift with me' and people find it 'weirdly satisfying'

People admitted they found it "weirdly satisfying" watching an Aldi employee stack shelves during a busy shift. Keeping a supermarket looking neat and tidy is no easy task, especially after hundreds of shoppers have gone wild in the aisles. However a worker, known as @MrMullacPOV on TikTok, said he enjoyed "making the store look good" as he invited people to join him for a 'facing up' shift. READ MORE: 'Skint' ITV This Morning star says she's 'moving into caravan' The technique involves organising the products so shelves appear well stocked and look aesthetically pleasing, the Mirror reports. He captioned the video, which has received more than 10.7million views: "Work an Aldi shift with me - facing up edition." The two-minute clip shows him placing items in neat stacks and taking away empty carboard boxes - and people loved it. One said: "The things I'd do to have a retail job where I do nothing but face ups." A second replied: "This is so weirdly satisfying to watch." A third revealed: "This is the most therapeutic thing I've ever watched." "I loved facing up, the most satisfying part of a shift," said a fellow store worker. Another said: "I do this when I go to Aldi, and I am not an employee! "Annoys me that others customers leave the shelves messy." However not everyone was a fan. "I used to work in retail and hated facing up the aisles," said a former supermarket worker. They added: "Put me on the till any day."
