CWI unveils Pak series schedule
Cricket West Indies (CWI) has started ticket sales for the upcoming white-ball series against Pakistan, with the first T20I scheduled to be played on July 31 at the Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.
This comes amid reports suggesting that the board is likely to reject a proposal from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to modify the tour format.
As part of the T20I promotion, cricket fans can now avail a special offer — two tickets for the price of one — while the cost of a single ticket has been slashed by 50%.
The minimum price for ODI match tickets has been set at $8, while the maximum price is $175.
The three-match T20I series is scheduled to take place at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida, on July 31, August 2, and August 3.
Following the T20Is, a three-match ODI series is set to be held in Trinidad on August 8, 10, and 12.
The PCB had proposed converting the scheduled One Day Internationals (ODIs) into additional T20 Internationals (T20Is), aiming to provide the national team with more preparation in the shorter format ahead of key upcoming tournaments — the 2025 ACC Men's Asia Cup and the 2026 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, both of which will be played in the T20 format.
However, despite ongoing discussions, CWI is reportedly inclined to maintain the originally agreed schedule. This means Pakistan will play both the three T20Is and the full ODI series as initially planned.
CWI has yet to issue an official response to the PCB's proposal, but sources suggest the West Indies board is firm on sticking with the current itinerary. It is pertinent to mention that the Men in Green are also slated to tour Bangladesh for a three-match T20I series, with the opening match scheduled to be played on July 20 at the Shere-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
According to details, the Pakistan men's cricket team will arrive in Bangladesh on July 16.
The remaining T20Is will also be played at the same venue on July 22 and 24. All three matches are scheduled to begin at 5 PM Pakistan Standard Time.

Camp concludes
The third and final phase of the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) 20-day Skills Development Camp concluded on Friday afternoon at the National Cricket Academy, Lahore, with a scenario-based 35-over match.
The camp, which began on June 16, featured over 40 male cricketers participating in rigorous training and fitness sessions aimed at sharpening their skills ahead of a busy cricketing season.
Speaking to the media at the LCCA Ground, PCB Director High Performance, Aaqib Javed, reflected on the objectives and outcomes of the camp, noting its significance as the national side prepares for a packed home and away schedule.
"Today marks the end of the final phase, which focused on some of the Pakistan Shaheens players ahead of their England tour. Earlier phases focused on player-coach interaction with our national men's team. Off-season is the ideal time for players to identify and address weaknesses, but our work doesn't stop here," Aaqib said.
"You can't fix everything in a week, but these camps help us fill gapswhether it's a spin all-rounder, a fast-bowling all-rounder, or wicketkeeping options.

Speaking to the media at the LCCA Ground, Director High-Performance PCB Aqib Javed shared insights on the objectives and outcomes of the camp as Pakistan gears up for a packed cricket season at home and away. 'Today marks the end of the final phase, which focused on some of the Pakistan Shaheens players ahead of their England tour. Earlier phases focused on player-coach interaction with our national men's team. Off-season is the ideal time for players to identify and address weaknesses, but our work doesn't stop here,' Aqib said. After the Ashura break, the High-Performance setup will resume camps to prepare players heading to Darwin for a T20 tournament and the Test squad for South Africa's tour of Pakistan. 'We're working in parallel with the Shaheens and the red-ball team, and we're preparing pitches that replicate home conditions to help players adjust ahead of our Test series, he said.' While acknowledging the limitations of short camps, Aqib highlighted their importance in addressing team needs. 'You can't fix everything in a week, but these camps help us fill gaps; whether it's a spin all-rounder, a fast-bowling all-rounder, or wicket keeping options. We will continue these camps until October to scout and polish emerging talent.' Pakistan's sights are firmly set on the new ICC Test Championship cycle regarding, which Aqib stated, 'I believe Pakistan has a strong chance to win it. Every team looks to capitalise on home conditions, and our immediate focus is on winning the upcoming series against South Africa.' Aqib also praised the players' discipline during the Skills Development camp. 'What impressed me most were players waking up at 5am, which added much-needed discipline and structure that will reflect in their skills and fitness over the next six months, he said.' Talking about modern cricket's demands, Aqib noted: 'The game now is highly skill-oriented and fast-paced, requiring players to perform specific roles in different phases, whether batting or bowling. Our training sessions were designed to refine these role-specific skills.' Shane McDermott to be Pak fielding coach
Shane McDermott has backing of Pakistan's newly appointed white-ball head coach Mike Hesson who has lot of faith in the Aussie coach. PHOTO: REUTERS The Pakistan Cricket Board has reportedly completed the signing of respected Australian fielding specialist Shane McDermott as the men's all-format fielding coach. The 44-year-old McDermott was one of two finalists for the job and arrives with a broad résumé across international and domestic cricket. He holds a High Performance Level Three Coaching Certificate and has previously contributed to setups in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and his native Australia. Shane McDermott also reportedly had the backing of Pakistan's newly appointed white-ball head coach Mike Hesson, who worked closely with him during previous assignments. He is expected to link up with the squad ahead of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. An official announcement from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is likely later this week. Between 2022 and 2023, Shane McDermott served as Assistant Fielding Coach with Bangladesh's national team and earlier spent three years as Sri Lanka's senior team fielding coach while also leading the Sri Lanka A program. Most recently, the Australian worked with Afghanistan. His earlier coaching experience includes seven years with Cricket Australia's National Cricket Centre in Brisbane, where he held positions ranging from Interim Assistant Coach to National A Team Analyst and Fielding Coach. According to sources, his appointment come as Mohammad Masroor departs from his role as the fielding coach. Masroor, who was hired on a series-to-series basis, confirmed his exit through a heartfelt message on social media. "Thank you to the players who trusted the staff who supported, and the fans who believed," he wrote. "Though my chapter with the team ends here, I'll always be a part of Pakistan cricket's story. Thank you, Pakistan. I leave with no regrets, only pride and best wishes for what lies ahead," he further wrote. Masroor, 49, had previously worked with Pakistan's Under-19 and domestic teams, and was viewed as a progressive coach with modern fielding insights. However, despite his efforts, Pakistan's fielding continued to disappoint in key matches, including in World Cups and the Asia Cup. The PCB has struggled for years to find consistency in this department, having rotated through several fielding coaches without significant improvement. Masroor's exit comes at a critical time with Asia Cup 2025 fast approaching. Scheduled to be held in India, the high-profile tournament will see Pakistan face stiff competition against arch-rivals India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and possibly Afghanistan. Umar Gul set for key role with PCB Former Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul is expected to take up a major role in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) setup as part of the board's wider plans to restructure its coaching and development departments. According to sources, Gul is likely to be named head coach of the Pakistan Shaheens, who have a packed schedule ahead. The team is set to participate in the Top End T20 Series in Darwin next month, followed by a tour of England later this year. The 42-year-old retired from international cricket in 2020 and has since built a strong coaching resume. He has previously served as the bowling coach of Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Afghanistan's national team, and Pakistan's senior men's side. Gul stepped in as Pakistan's bowling coach after Morne Morkel's departure and worked with the national team during the Test series against Australia in late 2023 and the T20I series against New Zealand in early 2024. He also held the same role during Pakistan's 2023 T20I series against Afghanistan and New Zealand. Meanwhile, the PCB has announced that Pakistan Shaheens will return to Darwin for the 2025 Top End T20 Series, marking their third straight appearance in the tournament. The event will run from August 14 to 24, with the Shaheens facing Bangladesh 'A' in the opening match at TIO Stadium. The 2025 edition will feature 11 teams playing 36 T20 matches across five venues: DXC Arena, TIO Stadium, Gardens Oval, Cazaly's Arena, and Freds Pass. More details about the tournament are expected to be announced soon. In previous editions, the Shaheens have performed well, reaching the final in 2023 and the semi-final in 2024. Their campaign included notable wins against teams like Perth Scorchers, Tasmania, Melbourne Renegades, and Bangladesh 'A'. However, their run ended in the semi-finals after a loss to Adelaide Strikers.
