Love Island's Casey O'Gorman admits struggles with relationship after All Stars victory

The latest batch of Love Island stars have been given a warning as a past winner revealed the relationship difficulties faced outside of the villa
The current series of Love Island has came to a close in a history-making final on Monday. Viewers of the hit ITV2 dating show voted for their winners of series 12, crowning Toni Laites and Cach Mercer as their champions.

The duo's win sees them exit the villa with £50,000 to share and a cross-Atlantic relationship to figure out. Toni became the first American contestant on the UK version of the reality show, with her current role seeing her reside in Las Vegas. With Cach being UK-based, the duo have a big decision to make on their future.

They hinted on Monday's live finale they may split their time between the two countries after declaring their love for each other. It comes after Maya Jama surprised Harry Cooksley with her honest admission over his coupling with Shakira Khan.

But now, a former Love Island winner has revealed his own struggles with long-distance relationships after leaving famous villa. Casey O'Gorman won Love Island All Stars series two alongside Gabby Allen. However, shortly after their victory, the duo went their separate ways and are no longer together.
Speaking to Heart Bingo, Casey admitted it is difficult to navigate a long-distance pairing after leaving the villa. He said: "It's so overwhelming with everything going on - it's hard to keep the relationship going. You do need to make time for that person if you want to make it work. A lot of people do find it hard."

He also said a relationship post Love Island is hard as you have all eyes on you. Casey confessed the pressures involved in such attention can be hard for a lot of people.
And he also offered the current crop of islanders his personal advice after admitting it is easy to get "swept away by fame" after appearing on the show. He told them to "stay grounded" now they're back in the real world.

"I think the important thing is speaking to people who have been through the same process and know what you want to do," he said. "Find your niche, because it's so easy to come out and ride the wave, then crash. I would definitely say and encourage them to speak out to ex-Islanders."
And Casey admitted he wouldn't be at all surprised to see any of the latest series' batch of contestants back in the villa in time for the third edition of Love Island All Stars. Prior to the winners being announced, he was asked who he thought would be best on the spin-off version of the dating show. "Harry, Toni or Harrison," he claimed.
"If any of them are single - they've got another five months - I'm sure you'll see a couple of their faces back on it."
The third series of All Stars was recently confirmed for 2026. Speaking on the renewal, Mike Spencer-Hayter, Creative Director at Lifted Entertainment, said: 'Love Island: All Stars has quickly established itself as a stand-alone hit, keeping fans of the show gripped by iconic Islanders from the past 10 years returning for another chance to find love.
"We are very excited about series 3 and you can expect the twists and turns to continue in All Stars, after an incredible smash hit summer series."

During her brief time in the villa, she clashed with Meg over getting to know Dejon. Maya caught up with axed stars including Meg and Dejon, who were dumped right before the final. When the topic of a group trip came up, the host asked: "Why didn't I get an invite? Where are we going?" Meg replied: "You can come", before turning around and asking: "Where are we going, Malisha?" At this point, Maya then said: "Oh my God, I won't be attending." Malisha had been smiling, although this dropped after the presenter's quip. The bombshell arrived on Day 5, alongside Yasmin Pettet and Emily Moran. Unfortunately, Malisha - along with Toni - found themselves at risk of being dumped on Day 8. It meant that new bombshell Harrison had the decision of who would stay. Dumped bombshell Malisha takes ANOTHER swipe at Meg & Dejon after fiery interview He dated both girls, but chose Toni, meaning Malisha was therefore dumped as a result. Following her exit, the teaching assistant took savage digs at her co-stars when appearing on spin-off Aftersun. During a spicy segment, Malisha was asked by an audience member to give one-word verdicts on her fellow Islanders. When it came to Shea, she didn't mince words, saying chatting to him was like 'talking to a brick wall.' Meanwhile, Malisha said her and Meg's clashing personalities were 'too similar". She also claimed Meg 'went too far' — and said they'd 'never be friends' on the outside. While things didn't quite work out with Dejon in the villa, Malisha left the door open for a post-show spark, cheekily saying they had 'unfinished business'. Love Island airs on ITV2 and ITVX.

Prince William and Kate's 'intelligent' plan for Princess Charlotte post-Harry issue

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly crafting a strategy to shield Princess Charlotte from the same challenges faced by her uncle, Prince Harry. Last month, on Sunday, July 27, William and Charlotte were spotted savouring the Lionesses' victory at the Women's Euro 2025 final in Basel, Switzerland. A Royal expert has hinted that Charlotte's attendance at the game may reflect a fresh tactic to tackle a longstanding issue that has troubled Royal siblings like Prince Harry, Prince Andrew, and even Queen Elizabeth's late sister, Princess Margaret. The issue centres on the so-called "spare" Royal who struggles with feeling "overlooked and purposeless". Writing for the I, Royal commentator Richard Palmer posited that the Waleses are determined to avoid any of their children feeling less valued, thus circumventing the "spare" dilemma. READ MORE - Jet2 'sorry' as mum and kids 'traumatised' at being refused to flight home READ MORE - Motorist gets petty revenge on 'entitled' neighbour who kept parking on their drive He further explained: "In a Royal Family traditionally focused on the need to create an heir to the throne, and then a spare just in case something goes wrong, the Waleses want their children to have emotional security instead of giving special treatment to the chosen one." In stark contrast to King Charles, the couple is placing their children's needs above Royal obligations. Additionally, insiders close to the Royals told Richard that Charlotte "has inherited her mother's poise and an inner strength and confidence", reports the Mirror. Bringing her along to celebrate the Lionesses' Euros success might be part of grooming her for her future responsibilities within the Royal Family. American Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith has hinted that Princess Charlotte might soon be stepping up to take on official duties for the Queen in the streamlined monarchy, with a possible focus on sports. Speaking to the i Paper, she remarked: "I think this is an intelligent way to do it. I would imagine Charlotte will be part of the picture. I'm not so sure about Louis." The term "Spare" resonates with those following Royal affairs, as it was the title chosen by Prince Harry for his revealing 2023 memoir. In his book, Prince Harry caused a global stir by disclosing private family matters. These revelations are believed to have strained Harry's relationship with his family, particularly with his father, King Charles, and his brother, Prince William. Prince Harry famously stepped back from his Royal responsibilities and moved to Montecito, California, with his wife Meghan Markle, a former actress, and their children Archie and Lilibet. Recently, there has been speculation that the Prince and Princess of Wales might leave Adelaide Cottage for Fort Belvedere in Windsor's Home Park Estate. Yet, Hello magazine's Royal editor, Emily Nash, casts doubt on these rumours, pointing out that her sources say "they've been very happy" at Adelaide Cottage. She highlighted their current situation: "Enjoying precious time together as a family of five, with no live-in staff and with easy access to Lambrook, the Berkshire school attended by Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis." Yet, she didn't rule out the chance of them moving in the future, remarking that William, with his considerable Duchy of Cornwall income, could comfortably afford another home. Emily also mentioned there's a "precedent" for such decisions, referencing instances like the late Queen bestowing Gatcombe Park on Anne, Sunninghill Park on Andrew, and Bagshot Park on Edward.

Mark Labbett feared he would 'die a bachelor' before finding fame on The Chase and then marrying his second cousin Katie

Mark Labbett feared he would 'die a bachelor' because women were not interested in him before he found fame on The Chase. The 59-year-old TV personality was a single man 'for over 20 years' before he joined the ITV quiz show as The Beast in 2009, and then he went on to be in a several serious relationships. This included his second cousin Katie Labbett, 32, who he met on Facebook in 2010, began to date in 2012 and then married in 2014. They welcomed their seven-year-old son Lawrence in 2018, but Katie and Mark split in 2020. Following The Beast's separation from Katie, Mark dated TV presenter Hayley Palmer, 44, in 2023. However, in May 2024, he dumped Hayley days after their first dating anniversary in a 'three-minute' phone call. Now, Mark is taking part in the E4 dating show Celebs Go Dating. He hopes to find his perfect match, with the help of the programme's dating agents, Paul Carrick Brunson, 50, Anna Williamson, 44, and Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, 36. Mark exclusively told BANG Showbiz at the Celebs Go Dating launch party event at The Broadcaster gastropub in White City, West London, on July 24: 'It's getting to the point now with the joy of social media, a photo of me with a woman suddenly it's a new date. 'With this girl, I said, 'Sorry about this, I did warn you if you put up that photo.' 'And I tend to think, 'Where was all this speculation 20, 25 years ago?' 'I was a single man for over 20 years. I genuinely thought at one point before The Chase came along, 'Am I going to die a bachelor?' 'Suddenly, I'm in a relationship, which is why this has been good because you listen to experts, so finding out advice from them.' In 2020, Katie - who had been dating senior design engineer Scott Bate for 18 months at the time - and Mark split because their attempts at an open marriage failed. The Beast also blamed other factors, including their 27-year age gap, the Covid-19 lockdown and his own mental health, for their eventual split. In 2024, Hayley and Mark separated - with Hayley claiming at the time he dumped her because he 'didn't want to divorce his ex-wife', but Mark later told The Sun newspaper their separation was because he 'got old'. However, Mark - who had a 15-year age gap with Hayley - insisted to BANG Showbiz he does not have a 'bad word' to say about Katie or Hayley. Asked if he thinks it is now better to share a similar age with someone, as opposed to having a big age gap like he did with Katie and Hayley, Mark said: 'What I would say is age is really important to some people and completely unimportant to others. 'And, ultimately, I think it's down to the individual relationship. 'I've dated women who are older than me, and I've got no problems with it.' Celebs Go Dating 2025 starts on Monday, August 11, at 9pm on E4.
