Independence Day 2025: As India celebrates the spirit of the tricolour, former Bigg Boss 18 contestant Avinash Mishra, currently seen in Balaji Telefilms' YouTube original Pyaar Sey Bandhe Rishte, takes a heartfelt trip down memory lane, recalling childhood moments that shaped his sense of freedom and patriotism.
'For me, Independence Day has always been more than just flags and songs," Avinash reflects. 'As a child, it was a day of pride, stories, and lessons from my parents about the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. Growing up, songs like 'Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon' would fill our home and stir something deep within me – a mix of gratitude and responsibility."
Those early impressions, he says, taught him that patriotism is not confined to one day on the calendar. 'It's about living those values every day," he explains. 'We need to be free from corruption, discrimination, and fear, and build a future where every child has the gift of education. Education is the key to creating equality and giving every Indian the opportunity to contribute to the nation's growth."
His reverence for India's freedom fighters runs deep, with one figure holding a special place in his heart. 'If I ever get the chance, I'd love to portray Bhagat Singh," he says with conviction. 'I admired his courage and vision even as a boy. His story reminds us of the price of freedom and the power of standing for what is right.
Avinash Mishra to star in Naagin 7?
During an interview with Zoom, Bigg Boss 18 fame Avinash opened up about rumours of him being cast in Ektaa Kapoor's Naagin 7. When asked about his comment, Avinash replied, 'I can't comment on this. Naagin 7's trailer or promo is not yet out. So, I can't comment on it." He further stated, 'Let's see if it happens; you will get to know. If I get a chance, I will definitely explore the supernatural genre. I am ready to become a vampire." It must be noted that the actor did not confirm, nor did he deny the speculation, keeping the excitement alive for the fans.
In Ektaa Kapoor's YouTube series Pyaar Sey Bandhe Rishte, which will premiere on August 7, Avinash Mishra stars in the lead role alongside Shhraddha Surve and Dipali Sharma in lead roles.
