When Kangana Ranaut slammed actors for not speaking up about important issues: "Aap successful hai kyu?"
Kangana Ranaut
has always been honest to her heart and spoken up about concerns she feels are important to address. In a now-viral clip of the 39-year-old actress, she is being critical of the Bollywood folks who are placed on a pedestal but often don't use it to speak about the crucial matters.
Kangana Ranaut questions the artists...
In a clip posted by the Bollywood Hungama six years ago, Kangana bashed the artists who avoid speaking about the political issues because they get into a difficult situation. While addressing paparazzi and multiple media outlets, for which the actress is getting all sorts of praise, she further said, 'If you, the successful people for whom the 25 media cameras follow everywhere, won't talk about it, then who will?'
"You have been placed on a pedestal by the audience..."
Questioning the success of the artists, Kangana asked, 'Why are you successful? What is the point of your success? You earn your money, you eat, drink and have fun.'
'This is not real - You haven't been placed on a pedestal so that you could live your little life and then get going. You have been placed on a pedestal by the audience, so that you could think about them as well,' Ranaut continued in frustration.

Kangana stated in an interview with New18 while promoting her film 'Tejas,' 'I have noticed in the TV debates, where the soldiers ask when Bollywood is showcasing its love for the artists of Pakistan and China, cricketers are hugging them, then am I the only one who thinks of them as enemies?'
'What does a soldier feel? When they are guarding our borders, they have an emphasised notion, but it must be demoralising when the people of the country speak in such a manner,' she added.

Drishyam 3: Mohanlal And Jeethu Joseph Likely To Begin Filming In September 2025
Last Updated: Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are reportedly set to start filming Drishyam 3 in September 2025. Malayalam cinema's iconic duo—Mohanlal and director Jeethu Joseph—are ready to bring back the suspense and intrigue of the Drishyam universe. According to a new report by Cinema For You, the third installment of the celebrated thriller franchise is likely to begin production in September 2025, much to the excitement of fans across the country. While speculation had long surrounded their return, the report suggests that Drishyam 3 might finally move ahead—possibly at the cost of delaying their much-anticipated but long-stalled project Ram yet again. With dates aligning and mounting pressure from eager fans, the team seems to be prioritizing the next chapter in Georgekutty's chilling tale of deception and survival. An official confirmation is still awaited, but the buzz has already reignited anticipation among viewers who have followed Georgekutty's journey since the very beginning. For the uninitiated, Drishyam (2013) was a game-changer in Indian cinema. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the original film followed Georgekutty, a simple cable TV operator, whose life spirals into chaos after a shocking incident involving his family. What followed was a masterclass in suspenseful storytelling, as Georgekutty wove a web of lies to protect his loved ones from law enforcement. The film's gripping narrative, moral ambiguity, and powerful performances struck a chord with audiences, making it a blockbuster and a blueprint for remakes across multiple Indian languages. In 2021, the franchise returned with Drishyam 2: The Resumption, picking up seamlessly from where the first left off. Released directly on Amazon Prime Video due to the pandemic, the sequel was lauded for maintaining the franchise's high standards of storytelling, layered drama, and emotional depth. Mohanlal once again proved why he's considered one of India's finest actors, and Jeethu Joseph's direction was praised for its sophistication and restraint. As the Malayalam original prepares to enter its third and possibly final phase, interestingly, its Bollywood counterpart is also revving up for its next chapter. Actor Ajay Devgn is reportedly set to reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam 3, with Abhishek Pathak returning to direct. That film, according to Pinkvilla, will go on floors in August 2025, creating a fascinating parallel between the two cinematic universes. Meanwhile, Mohanlal continues to be one of the busiest stars in the industry. After headlining Thudarum, a hard-hitting crime drama about a father's quest for justice, he is now gearing up for Hridayapoorvam, a feel-good family film helmed by veteran director Sathyan Anthikad and co-starring Malavika Mohanan. His packed slate also includes big-ticket projects like Vrusshabha and MMMN, further cementing his status as a pan-Indian force to reckon with. With Drishyam 3, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph have the potential to close the chapter on one of Indian cinema's most iconic franchises with the same finesse and unpredictability that made it a cultural phenomenon in the first place. I was with him on the streets of Chennai, and there's a huge fan following for him. We went out for lunch, and people kept coming to him. He's a whistle factor himself,' he said during the interaction. He went on to add about the film, 'I have a very important character in the film. I must thank Loki for the way he has presented me. Coolie is a full-on whistle film… My favourite film is Vikram and the roles of Fahadh Faasil, Vijay Sethupathi, and even the nanny (Agent Tina) are fantastic. In Coolie, keeping Rajni sir aside, there's Upendra from Kannada, Aamir Khan from Hindi, and myself, and all of these characters stand out. That is the trump card of Coolie.' Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR and Monisha Blessy make up the rest of the cast. Filming was wrapped up in March this year after its announcement in 2023. Aamir Khan has a cameo in the film. Lokesh and Chandhru Anbazhagan penned the script and dialogues for the film. Anirudh Ravichandar composed the music. Coolie will release in theatres on 14 August and clash with Ayan Mukherji's Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer War 2.
