Huawei will soon become one of the several brands to release a very powerful phone
Although the flagship market is oversaturated with devices that more often than not offer the same hardware configuration every year, there's still room for brands that really want to stand out to introduce innovative products. When it comes to hardware, there are two ways a company can make its flagship product stand out. Either it uses hardware that's more powerful than almost every other flagship available on the market, or it uses advanced technology that offers its product the upper hand in the battle for supremacy.Huawei is already one of the biggest phone makers in the world. However, just like many other brands just as big, it doesn't have a phone that packs at least 20GB RAM.
According to a new tip coming from reliable leaker Digital Chat Station , Huawei will soon join the very short list of companies that have already released a phone with 20GB+ RAM.
Currently, there are seven companies that have experience in launching such powerful phones: Asus, Honor, Infinix, Nubia, OnePlus, Realme, and Xiaomi. None of the 'big' names like Apple, Motorola, Samsung or any other of the 'established' brands are on the list, so the fact that Huawei indeed plans to release a 20GB+ RAM phone seems important.
Huawei Mate X6 is one of the company's phones with the highest amount of RAM | Image credit: PhoneArena Huawei recently introduced its new lineup of flagships, the Pura 80 series, and some of the models come with 16GB RAM, the highest amount of memory the Chinese company managed to pack inside one of its phones. Some older Huawei smartphones that come with 16GB RAM are the Mate X6, Pocket 2, Mate 60 RS Ultimate, Pura 70 Pro+, and Mate 60 Pro+, so there are plenty of options for those with specific needs when it comes to hardware. It's important to mention that Huawei plans to launch a new flagship at the end of year. That new smartphone will feature a new flagship chip with improved energy efficiency, as well as 20GB+ RAM.
Huawei's new flagship with 20GB+ RAM might be part of the Mate 80 series, which is expected to arrive later this fall, but this is just a guess based on previous history.

Google Pixel 10 family's telephoto camera is getting a new feature
Google is expected to announce the Pixel 10 series of smartphones on August 20. Today a new leak tells us that the phones' telephoto camera is getting a new feature: the ability to take macro shots. Thus, it will be a tele-macro. Interestingly, Google reportedly plans to continue fitting its Pixels with ultrawide cameras with autofocus - which means the ultrawides will continue to have macro abilities of their own. The ultrawides will be able to focus closer than the telephotos, so you'll get a choice between using the ultrawide or the telephoto for close-up shots but it's not really a choice - logic dictates use the telephoto unless what you're trying to capture is closer than its minimum focusing distance, in which case the ultrawide will save the day (presumably with worse quality, but a macro shot is better than no macro shot). The Pixel 10 devices are rumored to become available on August 28. They will be powered by the new Tensor G5 SoC, manufactured by TSMC for the first time (which will hopefully translate into better performance and efficiency than its Samsung-made predecessors). Google is switching up its phones' colorways this time around, as reported a few days ago. And all of them should support Qi2 wireless charging, but not with built-in magnets a la Apple - instead, Google's cases will provide the magnets. Source

Hall-of-Fame leaker disseminates images of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 line
Last month we passed along renders of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic showing off a squircle design similar to last year's Galaxy Watch Ultra model. Today, famed leaker Evan Blass posted images showing the design of the Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch 8 Ultra (2025). All three timepieces seem to share a common look with each model featuring a squircle design. To accommodate the squircle design and a rotating bezel, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will feature thicker bezels than the other watches in the series. According to Blass, the three watches in the line will be named the Galaxy Watch 8 , Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025). The trio should be unveiled next month during the company's next Unpacked event which will include Sammy's new foldables for 2025. Image of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8. | Image credit-Evan Blass The Galaxy Watch series for 2025 will be running One UI 8 Watch and the first beta release was pushed out this week. The One UI 8 Watch interface includes Wear OS 6 which will supposedly include better battery life, the new Material 3 Expressive design language, and a more modern look that flows better. It also will include dynamic color theming which takes the dominant color from your selected watch face and uses it to create colored accents that match throughout the timepiece's interface. But Samsung says that there will be a 10% improvement in battery life from Wear OS 5 to Wear OS 6. Image of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Ultra (2025). | Image credit-Evan Blass Samsung currently owns a 9% share of the global smartwatch market according to Counterpoint Research. Those results put the South Korean manufacturer in third place worldwide after Apple and Huawei. The summer's Unpacked event is rumored to take place on July 13th in New York City. Last year's event was held on July 10th so the rumor mill might be right. There was a prototype Galaxy Watch 8 Classic already posted for sale on eBay. Model number SM-L505U features 64GB of internal storage with LTE support and a 46mm case. It was priced at $150 and was not sold.
