Canalys: Huawei is back as number 1 in China in Q2 of 2025 Comments

M Not gonna happen in the global scene. Even Huawei has forgotten to give their global rom users significant OS updates. New EMUI phones only get security updates. EMUI is dead but they still keep using EMUI for new devices outside China despite lack of new software features on par with the competition. Global EMUI still has no AI features. The Pura 70 series still don't have these. I wonder if the global Pura 80 series have AI features. ? Juan, 8 hours ago This shows that Chinese consumers care more about camera capabilities than processing power. it's not just China. Most of us use our camera more than we use the top speed of our phones. unless you play graphic intensive games, you really don't need that much processing power for every day use. ? SmgUk, 6 hours ago And yet completely irrelevant in the rest of the world haha 😂 It's as if some politicians, who think they own the world, have something to do with it. Now we're stuck with a duopoly whose main innovations are just increasing camera mo, 45W fast charging and installing themes for the first time lmao. Next "innovation" will be using AI to calculate how much time left before battery gets fully charged. 🤣 L Anonymous, 5 hours ago Samsung can't compete against those Ultra Titans in China. SmgUk, 6 hours ago And yet completely irrelevant in the rest of the world haha 😂 How is that a good thing? All the innovation stays in China with Huawei now that the US got scared of them and sanctioned them. They are only "irrelevant" because they were too relevant to begin with, which they still would be, it's not their fault that they aren't anymore. v China continues on the same path, it's only a matter of time before Android is completely banned ? Un-disputed, 11 hours ago Where's Samsung? 😂 Don't they sell Samsung phones in China? Samsung can't compete against those Ultra Titans in China. Camera, battery and charging speed are the most important daily usage. S And yet completely irrelevant in the rest of the world haha 😂 C Un-disputed, 11 hours ago Where's Samsung? 😂 Don't they sell Samsung phones in China? Well somewhere in end of top 10. C Would be happy if Apple wont be even in top 20 but whathewer. Well done Huawei. Hope they will be number 1 in world just as decade ago. Un-disputed, 11 hours ago Where's Samsung? 😂 Don't they sell Samsung phones in China? Nowhere, places where real competition actually exists, there is no need for Samsung. Huawei's camera is/have been especially good, generally better than oppo & vivo. 2. Good service, strong marketing I don't live in china so I can't affirm this, but it is said that you can get better after sales service & other benefits there. 3. Harmony OS Many people nowadays (not just china nationals, but also people from other countries) who don't like google and want the alternatives (just like many people prefer to use linux than windows). s this is real ly good news and with this oppo will be releasing its rumoured 10x optical zoom sooner & and the others like vivo and xiaomi will be pushed to innovate at a fast er pace and in 2-3 years time when huawei s able 2 independently manufacture its own kirin chip set will be able to sell its phones at an even lower price and we ll be enjoying all in around year 2027 / 2028 and lets jist wish all well ! L Oppo and Oneplus make by far the best phones in China. It's weird how much of a hold Huawei has over the populace. I suspect it's because it stands to replace google with the OS of choice.
