They said in a joint statement: "We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved.
"We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected.
"There will be no further comment."
Speaking on The Mid-Point podcast in July 2023, Patrick explained that he thought he was in a 50/50 partnership for "a long time" before realising he was just a "junior shareholder"
Asked about how he and Cat made big decisions, he said: "For a long time I genuinely thought I was in a 50/50 partnership [laughs].
"Then you realise you're actually a junior shareholder in a 50/50 partnership.
"You go, 'I thought we were 50/50? Why do you seem to have more shares?'
"I think with big decisions you kind of have to float stuff and see how that's going to go. You know, drop that into conversation."
Asked about their decision to move back to the UK from LA, he said: "What was weird about it was it was Cat who more wanted to do that.
"It was more so her decision.
Cat Deeley and Patrick Kielty reveal split after 13 years of marriage
"I think being a new mum and not having the family around and not having the network of cousins and brothers, and so I think, for me, London is not home. It will never really be home for me.
"In my head, I still live in a little village in County Down, even though I haven't lived there full time for 30 years. These are the tricks you play on yourself.
"Living in London, my family was always a flight away anyway, so that idea of being a longer flight away from LA wasn't as much of a problem for me as someone who had to get a flight to go to see them anyway.
"I also think because Cat was the one with a successful career out there, she was the one who chose to leave that at the right time, and that's a decision that she made and only she can make."
Asked if it was the happiest he and Cat had ever been, he said: "Yeah, look, you know 10 years into marriage, it is something you work at.
"It's that idea that what attracts you is not going to keep you together.
"It's that idea of how you work together whenever the rough and the smooth and all those things … it's a journey.
"You put those kids into the mix and suddenly those priorities change, and all of those things.
"I think anybody who feels they can put their feet up and go, 'Yeah, that's marriage cracked,' you're kind of going, 'Really?!' "
Once considered one of the entertainment world's most enduring couples, Cat and Patrick first met while filming Fame Academy in the early 2000s.
Although their friendship developed over the years, they only began dating later, eventually tying the knot in a private ceremony in Rome.
Cat, who spent more than a decade hosting So You Think You Can Dance in the U.S., continued to juggle work across both sides of the Atlantic.
Speculation about their relationship emerged earlier this year when Cat was absent from Patrick's mother Mary's funeral in February.
The This Morning presenter was notably missing from the occasion in Dundrum, Ireland, where Patrick - host of RTE's Late Late Show - was pictured carrying his mother's coffin.
A spokesman for Cat told the Mail at the time: "Cat remained at home to be there for her two young children before and after school on this very sad day."
Cat and Patrick have two sons - Milo, eight, and James, five.

New Man Utd hero Ethan Williams following in footsteps of history-making uncle immortalised in mural by rivals Man City
His legendary uncle compared Ethan Williams to a former Premier League winger WILL I NEVER New Man Utd hero Ethan Williams following in footsteps of history-making uncle immortalised in mural by rivals Man City Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) HIS famous uncle is a Manchester City legend who became the first black goalkeeper to play in the English top-flight. That's because the 19-year-old winger is too busy trying to break into Ruben Amorim's Premier League squad before their season opener against Arsenal on August 16. Local Manchester lad Ethan's "dreams came true" when he scored his first United goal during the club's 4-1 win over Bournemouth in Chicago on Wednesday. A minute after coming on, the academy graduate was on hand to pick up the ball from inside the box after new signing Diego Leon tripped over while driving towards goal. And before you knew it, Ethan, who is equally sharp with both feet, cut inside and unleashed a devastating right-foot finish into former Chelsea stopper Djordje Petrovic's near post. And rarely - if ever- does Amorim celebrate when they do hit the back of the net. In fact, fans will be hard pressed to remember a single time when the Portuguese gaffer joyfully jumped up and down the sideline. We've simply never seen it. On that, Amorim, 40, said: 'I celebrated that goal. 'It is not usually even during the season but I celebrated that goal because I really like to see the kids who work really well, who don't have a lot of space during training, but still they are there. Ethan had expected to spend much of this summer working with the Under-21s, only for Amorim to last week give him the nod for their pre-season tour to the United States. Amorim refuses to guarantee Hojlund Man Utd future amid Sesko transfer push But while Ethan dreams of Old Trafford glory, his uncle Alex, 63, is a true blue icon who would've been celebrating somewhere too. Alex made history when he became the first black goalkeeper to play in the old First Division in 1980, going on to made 125 appearances for City until 1985. He's also a celebrated figure for his incredible 33 years with City in the community, earning an MBE in 2002 - three years before Ethan was born - for his work with young people. He's destined to be a star, although it's a shame his favourite colour is red rather than blue. The local Moss Side ex-stopper is even included in a dazzling mural in Platt Lane, Fallowfield, Manchester - metres away from where he grew up close to City's old Maine Road Stadium. The proud uncle charted the highs and lows of his career in a 2023 autobiography that also touched upon a teenager making waves at Carrington. 9 Williams takes centre stage of a new Manchester City mural, alongside women's stars Chelsea Nightingale and Khiara Keating and Fallowfield-born Neil Young Credit: MEN Media 9 The 63-year-old became the first black goalkeeper to play in the old First Division in the 80s Credit: Alamy 9 Alex made more than 100 appearances for United's closest rivals City Credit: Shutterstock Editorial In his book 'You Saw Me Standing Alone', Alex wrote: 'Ethan is progressing well and has the potential to go all the way. 'He's the younger son of my brother Lloyd and is similar in style to former City winger Leroy Sane. "He's quick, has a terrific left foot and an eye for goal. He's destined to be a star, although it's a shame his favourite colour is red rather than blue. 'I just hope Ethan is as happy during his career as I was during mine.' Incidentally, Alex's final City appearance came during a 3-0 home defeat against Man Utd, where he gave away a penalty in 1985 - a year after lifting the Under-21 European Championships with England. 9 Ruben Amorim more or less celebrated for the first time after Ethan scored on Wednesday Credit: Getty After brief spells with Queen of the South and Port Vale, Alex hung up his gloves at the young age of 25 in 1987 due recurrent back injuries. Ethan joined United from Rochdale aged 14 and quickly settled in, later earning calls to join first team training under former boss Erik ten Hag. The tricky forward signed his first professional contract with United a year ago in July 2024, and was quickly shipped out on loan to gain experience at Cheltenham Town. He's just returned from a fruitful loan spell with the League Two side, where he netted twice in 17 appearances. And Ethan might be hoping for a mural of his own on the Trafford side of the city in the distant future.

Myleene Klass says she ‘doesn't care if people don't like her' after bombshell claim ex cheated on her with a celeb
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MYLEENE Klass admitted she "doesn't care if people don't like her" after she revealed her ex cheated with another celebrity. Earlier this week, the Loose Women star, 47, said she walked in on her then partner Graham Quinn and another famous woman unzipping each other's clothes at HER birthday party. It was in my house. 'It was my party. They weren't having sex, but they were unzipping each other. '[They said] 'It's not what you think', but it is what I think. It's the first thing they both said." Following the bombshell claim, speculation over the mystery woman has spread like wild fire across social media. And now Myleene has insisted that she has no regrets in her honest interview with the We Need to Talk podcast. Myleene shared her manager's reaction to her podcast appearance, saying: '"You should do it, it would be good for you, but be honest, everyone knows when people aren't honest', my manager before We Need To Talk podcast. "'Errrrr s*** Leens, I didn't think you were going to be THAT honest'.. My manager AFTER We Need to Talk podcast." Myleene said podcast host Paul was able to "see into her soul", allowing her to reveal most intimate details of her life over their five hour recording session. The singer continued: "I flew back from abroad to do this podcast. I'd heard a lot about Paul C. Brunson and had seen the We Need To Talk headlines. "As I've gotten older, more comfortable with being vulnerable, I'm drawn to things that stretch and challenge me. Myleene Klass looks incredible in red bikini on family holiday in Thailand with lookalike sister "I wasn't prepared for how disarming Paul is and how he looks into your soul and pulls out the very core of what makes you tick. "I didn't think he'd be able to do it. "From the outside, what do we have in common? Maybe that was the challenge, to see what he had on me. Turns out, a lot. "We ran into the night, five hours of recording, (subsequently multiple lawyers on both sides listened back and reached for their fire blankets) and we actually REALLY got on. "The two of us in a room brought out raucous laughter, the kind where you throw your head back and ugly cackle, abject sorrow, shock and everything else in between." Myleene admitted she's "no longer scared" to be disliked after becoming a resilient woman over years of being knocked down. "My life has been played out in public for 26 years. I've lost relationships, been turned over (by men, not all men, but always men) and had to rebuild on more than one occasion," she said. "I've also won. I won my jungle crown, my MBE, my family, my place and my peace. "I don't care if people like me anymore, I'm not the terrified 20 year old girl from Hear'say being pelted with chow mein on stage for trying to sing a few songs. "I'm no longer the girl who watched her life go up in smoke, fighting for everything I'd built from people who'd meticulously planned how to take it. "I've been torn down by those who were meant to love me, I think I'll be ok. In fact, I know I will. A mixed race girl, from Norfolk, no one expected much (my school report proves this). "I learned to hustle, stand up for myself and leave the betrayals behind. Who knew being a Mum would be the making of me, as failing meant my children failing (including the ones I never got to hold) and that was never going to happen." 'Utterly devastated' Myleene recalled the moment she caught her ex allegedly cheating on her and what happened in the aftermath. 'I kicked everybody out of the party, including his mum and dad. They went back to Ireland," she said. 'And his dad said, 'He doesn't get it from me'. I was like, 'OK'. I just remember that being quite a weird thing to say.' Myleene admitted she struggled to see the woman continuing as normal after the run-in, explaining: 'I've made peace with that situation now. 'But for a long time, it was very difficult to see their life . . . Not that I would wish that on a family. I don't know, I feel conflicted. 'But my life literally just broke apart very, very publicly. 'And their life, they've managed to continue building a family brand on it and it felt so difficult for a long time. This is the person I caught him with.' Former Hear'Say singer Myleene, 47, had met Graham when he was working as part of the band's security team. Despite the incident, she went on to marry him. They had two children, Ava and Hero, during their 12-year relationship, but were granted a divorce in 2013. Recalling their 2011 wedding in Norwich, which was attended by just 16 people, Myleene said: 'It was the most miserable . . . No one forgot this wedding because I literally cried the entire reception.' It was made worse by the fact that the couple butted heads over her request for him to sign a pre-nuptial agreement. Chatting to Paul C. Brunson on the We Need To Talk podcast, she said: 'So we'd had the biggest row, myself and my ex, because I'd asked him why he wouldn't sign the prenup. 'On the night of our wedding, I asked again. I just felt something was wrong and he didn't want a big wedding. 'My best mate wasn't even at my wedding. They weren't allowed to come, otherwise he wouldn't go through with it.' Months later, the marriage was finished. She said: 'On the day he decided it was over, he pushed a little Post-It note across the table with the figure he wanted. 'I was just like, 'How have you figured this out?'.' But Myleene — who is now engaged to PR guru Simon Motson — added: 'All I will say to you is I've raised my children single-handedly, financially, as a sole parent for 12 years.' 5 Myleene said she's no longer a 'terrified 20-year-old girl from Hear'say' Credit: instagram/@myleeneklass

Faithless star Maxi Jazz left staggering sum in his will – with 20 per cent of fortune going to Buddhist charity
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) FAITHLESS rapper Maxi Jazz left a staggering sum in his will – including 20 per cent to a controversial Buddhist charity. The dance music frontman, best known for 1995 club hit Insomnia, died from a long illness at his home in London in December 2022. Documents seen by The Sun show he passed 20 per cent of the estate – £624,000 – to Soka Gakkai International (SGI), a Buddhist charity based in India. Jazz, real name Maxwell Fraser, was a devout follower of Buddhism after his then-girlfriend introduced it to him in the early 1990s. SGI follows the teachings of Nichiren Buddhism, which promotes personal empowerment through chanting. The group has faced criticism from former members, though is one of the largest organised Buddhist groups in the UK. Jazz had no children, meaning other beneficiaries in his will were pals. The remainder of his estate was passed to his niece, Michaela, once she turns 30. The 2019 will was signed off by the High Court last week. Born in Brixton, South London, Jazz was best known for stints on pirate radio stations in the late 1980s and was nearly 40 when Faithless formed in 1995. The band's name is said to have come from its frontman's retelling of his journey to Buddhism and his feeling of faithlessness before he converted. Maxi penned the group's best hit, Insomnia, days after suffering a sleep-depriving tooth abscess, which left him writing music to numb the pain. The group's success saw their music on the DJ decks of every nightclub in the country, and in 2002 they played to 100,000 people in a sunset slot at Glastonbury. He fan spent 21 years in Faithless until he left the group in 2016 to form a blues-reggae band called Maxi Jazz & The E-Type Boys the same year. Faithless led tributes to its former leader after Maxi was found dead at his South London home. In an emotional statement at the time, they wrote: 'He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways. He gave proper meaning and message to our music. "He was also a lovely human being with time for everyone and a wisdom that was both profound and accessible. "It was an honour and, of course, a true pleasure to work with him. "He was a brilliant lyricist, a DJ, a Buddhist , a magnificent stage presence, car lover, endless talker, beautiful person, moral compass and genius.' The star was a huge fan of Crystal Palace and became an associate director in 2012. After his death, the South London side walked out to Faithless at Selhurst Park as a tribute. Club chairman Steve Parish said: "He was such a huge talent, a massive supporter of the club in every way and just a wonderful kind-hearted man. "He made the world dance, sing and laugh and someone I was privileged to call a friend. RIP Maxi." 5 Jazz, real name Maxwell Fraser, was a devout follower of Buddhism Credit: Getty
