Tom Cruise shows off his 'top guns' in a tight navy T-Shirt as he lands his helicopter following a visit to Pinewood Studios - ahead of the release of his latest Mission: Impossible film

Daily Mail29-04-2025

Tom Cruise has showed off his 'top guns' in a fitted navy T-Shirt after landing his helicopter in London.
The actor, 62, arrived in the capital in style following a visit to Pinewood Studios in Slough.
And Tom no doubt caught the eye as he highlighted his muscular physique in his casual top, which he teamed with a pair of black trousers and white trainers.
The action man sported lengthy, dishevelled hair and appeared to squint in the sunshine after wrapping up another day of work.
Tom's appearance comes as he counts down to the release of his latest action film, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning.
The film is set to hit cinemas on May 21, with a special 'filming in IMAX' featurette available for die-hard film buffs. Fans are also able to watch on 4DX, ScreenX and Imax, as well as regular showings.
The first teaser trailer for the film was released back in November, as the long-awaited conclusion to the beloved film series confirmed its title after months of delays.
Reprising his role as the titular hero Ethan Hunt, Tom is set to take on his biggest mission yet, after a tense cliffhanger saw the spy determined to track down cyber weapon The Entity.
The preview offers glimpses of Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Vanessa Kirby, while Esai Morales returns as the villainous Gabriel.
In the new trailer, fans get a glimpse back through some of the film franchise's most iconic moments, as Ethan pleads with his team to 'trust him one last time.'
The filming of the UK scenes of the eighth instalment of the Mission Impossible franchise initially took place between March and December 2022.
Production on the eighth film had originally halted so that the cast could promote Part One, and then the SAG-AFTRA strike began causing further delays.
It comes after Tom has been declared an 'honorary Brit' as the BFI prepares to honour him after a whopping four decades of making movies in the UK.
The American actor, who is believed to own in a property in the swanky Biggin Hill area of London, first made the move across the pond in 2020 for back-to-back Mission: Impossible films.

He's now a regular in the UK, with former co-star sir Kenneth Branagh, 64, revealing the Hollywood A-lister boasts impressive cockney rhyming skills and loves a trip to a country pub.
Speaking about the BFI Award, Cruise gushed: 'I'm truly honoured, I've been making films in the UK for over 40 years and have no plans to stop'.
Branagh, who starred alongside Cruise in 2008's Valkyrie and have remained friends, told The Times: 'He's an honorary Brit now, with a handy line in Cockney rhyming slang, I've been to the pub with him a few times.
'He finds a quiet corner, enjoys the atmosphere and is always gracious when he gets spotted. He's a natural giggler and just enjoys what he does so much and that's infectious'.
He has been spotted at Wimbledon, Victoria Beckham 's 50th, was apart of the King's Coronation, Late Queen's Platinum Jubilee with British friends including The Beckham's, Gordon Ramsay and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Over the year Cruise has filmed some of his biggest films in in Pinewood, Leavesden and Shepperton studios, from 1985's Legend to 1994's Interview With A Vampire and Edge of Tomorrow in 2014.
Speaking about his love of Blightly, he told The Mirror in 2022:'I guess I am an Anglophile. I spend a lot of time in Britain and that's not just for work reasons. I just love being here.

'It's a fantastic blend of old and new. I love seeing the sights, the Tower of London, Nelson's Column, Buckingham Palace and all those fantastic places which are just full of history.
'Britain is trendy, too, and has a lot that other countries then copy. I also love the British countryside.
The actor's connection to the UK is made even stronger than to make-up artist daughter Isabella, 32, who lives in Croydon with her her British husband Max Parker.
A source who worked with the actor, previously told MailOnline: '[Tom has] fallen in love with everything about the UK, his daughter lives here, he enjoys a good cuppa and he loves the fact he can be himself '.

Russell Brand update as he enters plea to sex offence charges in court

Russell Brand has today pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, sexual assault and indecent assault in court. The comedian and actor, 49, is now set to go on trial at the Old Bailey accused of alleged attacks on four separate women, including one allegation of rape, one allegation of indecent assault, one of oral rape and two further counts of sexual assault. Brand spoke only to confirm his plea, as well as his name, date of birth and address before being granted conditional bail during a hearing at Southwark Crown Court. Brand arrived at court wearing a grey blazer and matching trousers. He wore a pinstripe black shirt, exposing most of his chest, and a pair of brown boots. Brand wore sunglasses and held onto a black notebook as he made his way inside. He did not speak while being surrounded by dozens of reporters and photographers, as well as police officers, while walking into the court building. Brand, who will celebrate his 50th birthday next Wednesday, was charged with the offences by post last month. At a previous hearing on May 2, prosecutor Suki Dhadda read a brief outline of the case against him. Westminster Magistrates Court heard the TV star allegedly attacked the first accuser at a hotel during the Labour Party conference in Bournemouth, Dorset, in 1999. It is also alleged he grabbed a second woman's forearm and tried to drag her into a male toilet at a television station in 2001. The third accuser is a TV worker who met Brand in London's Soho in 2004. And the fourth is a radio worker who was allegedly indecently assaulted after meeting Brand while he was presenting Channel 4's Big Brother's Big Mouth between 2004 and 2005. Brand, who has been living in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, with his wife Laura Gallacher and their three children, was born in Essex before rising to fame as a stand-up comedian. He later moved into presenting, hosting TV and radio shows for a range of channels, including the BBC and Channel 4. He hosted Big Brother's Big Mouth, a spin-off to hit show Big Brother, as well as the NME, MTV and Brit awards ceremonies, before starring in a string of Hollywood movies, including Get Him to the Greek. The born-again Christian has since reinvented himself as an 'anti-woke' political podcaster, amassing millions of online followers on the online video platform Rumble. The case follows an investigation by the Sunday Times, the Times and Channel 4's Dispatches in September 2023, which revealed multiple serious allegations against him. It was then announced Brand was charged by the Metropolitan Police Service in April. Following the announcement from the Met and the Crown Prosecution Service, Brand released a video in April in which he said he had never engaged in non-consensual activity and was grateful for the opportunity to defend the charges in court. In a message at the time to his 11.3 million followers on X, previously known as Twitter, he said: "I was a drug addict, a sex addict and an imbecile, but what I never was, was a rapist. I have never engaged in non-consensual acts." He added: "I am absolutely open to and welcome the opportunity to defend myself because my innocence is indefatigable."

Savage comment from diving boss that led to Tom Daley eating disorder

Olympic champion diver Tom Daley has been revealing the harsh treatment he got from sports bosses on his bid to win Olympic golds in a candid, upcoming film on his life Emotional Tom Daley has revealed in a new documentary how he was ordered to lose weight by sports bosses and it contributed to him having an eating disorder. In March this year the Olympic diving star, 31, had told for the first time how he suffered from 'all kinds of different issues around body dysmorphia and bulimia' during his career. ‌ But, in his new film, he goes further and explains what happened. Speaking in Tom Daley 1.6 Seconds he says: 'At the end of 2011 I was told that I would have to lose weight by our performance director at British diving, and that I was overweight and that I needed to look slimmer, leaner and more like I did in 2008 it was the first time where I felt that I was being looked at and judged not for how I did in the diving pool, but for how I looked. I took then some quite drastic measures to make sure that the food did not stay in my stomach let's put it that way. ‌ 'A rational person would know that I wasn't fat, but that was all that I could think about in the build up to the Olympic Games, I had a diary that I would write in, and at the top of it, I'd write the date and my weight. I was kind of left on my own devices, and kind of left with that struggle by myself, because even when I was having these meetings with my sports psychologist, I didn't know how to bring that out, because every time I said it out loud, I knew it felt silly, but in my head, it was the biggest thing that I would always think about every day, every time I made a decision about what I was going to eat, if I was going to eat it and then get myself so hungry that I would end up eating so much and binging to the point where I was then so guilty that I then had to do something about that.' Tom goes on to say he struggled to open up about how he felt to anyone, a theme that ran through the early part of his career when he often felt alone. ‌ He adds: 'I still feel like ashamed talking about it now, because, like, once you're on the other side of it, it seems so easy just to stop and ask for help, but when you're in it, you feel like you can't be helped. 'Guys didn't have eating disorders. Guys didn't have any problems with their mental health. Guys were meant to be these macho things that get on with anything and you just keep going. I was not that I didn't know who I could talk to. The running theme here is that I felt very alone in all of the things that I was dealing with.' Tom's close friend Sophie Lee also references the issues when he was experiencing times in his life when he was highly stressed. She said: 'It was more than just an eating disorder that was really a reflection on how much stress and anxiety he was going through at the time getting to London, 2012.' ‌ Tom is Britain's most decorated diver and ended his career with five Olympic medals to his name. He was just 14 when he went to Beijing to compete in 2008 and returned a fifth time in Paris last year, where he picked up a silver and his two sons Robbie and Phoenix got to see him in the Olympic pool. At London 2012, shortly after the weight jibes from British diving bosses, he managed to win a bronze medal. ‌ He has now retired from diving and is spending more time at home with husband Dustin Lance Black and their sons Robbie and Phoenix. Looking to the future, Tom tells the film: 'My whole life has been about diving. My whole life has been about perfecting those 1.6 seconds. I spent four years training for something that goes by in less than 10 seconds in total, and I wouldn't change a thing. 'It's been the best 23 years that I can imagine, and I've had the best time, meeting the most amazing people, traveling to incredible places. Although, yes, sometimes it has been incredibly tough, and it has been challenging, and there's been times where I felt like I couldn't carry on. I persevered. ‌ 'I think if there's one thing that I'm excited about, it's being able to share this with Robbie and Phoenix and be able to have that memory that I can show them for the rest of my life, and be able to have shared that with them. I feel very lucky to have people around me now that I feel really comfortable that I can speak to about anything and everything. 'But I think that also comes from me letting my guard down, because for the longest time my guard was up.' * Tom Daley 1.6 Seconds will launch on discovery+ in the UK & Ireland on June 1 before premiering on Really and TNT Sports.
