The Ontario Provincial Police say three people are dead and two have critical injuries after a two-car crash in Pickering.
Police said the crash happened on Highway 7 near Concession Road 6 on Tuesday evening.

The crash involved two SUVs. Three people were killed and two people suffered life-threatening injuries, police said.
The OPP said in one SUV was an 82-year-old resident of Port Perry who was pronounced dead at the scene.
In the other SUV, two passengers, aged 63 and 68, died at the scene, while the 54-year-old driver and another 70-year-old passenger were rushed to hospital.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to contact police.

They say residents can expect to see an increased police presence as the investigation continues in the community east of North Bay. Calgary Police Service has released details of a woman who was killed Saturday afternoon in the parkade in the southwest neighbourhood of Haysboro. Madisson Cobb, 23, was identified as the victim by CPS in what they are calling a targeted incident. Police responded to a report of gunshots in the parkade of a commercial/residential complex in the 8700-block of Horton Road S.W. at around 4:30 p.m. on July 19. According to police, Cobb was walking to her vehicle after work, and did not live in any of the attached residential towers. Police and emergency services found Cobb suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and despite lifesaving efforts, she was declared dead at the scene. View image in full screen Staff Sgt.
