Their 1993 album Sons of Soul brought further success with the hit If I Had No Loot and earned a Grammy nomination. The group performed at the 1994 Grammy Awards in a tribute to Curtis Mayfield. After their last album, House of Music (1996), the trio took a hiatus before reuniting in 2023 for the Just Me and You Tour.

'KPop Demon Hunters' HUNTR/X makes history as ‘Golden' hits No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100
HUNTR/X's "Golden" has reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making the group the first all-women collective of three or more members to top the chart in 24 years, since Destiny's Child's "Bootylicious" in August 2001. The aspirational track, voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, comes from the soundtrack to the hit animated Netflix film KPop Demon Hunters. It marks the first Hot 100 leader for the group and female K-pop act and the ninth song linked to Korean pop to top the chart. Previous No. 1s in the genre include BTS's six chart-toppers between 2020 and 2021, along with "Seven" by Jung Kook featuring Latto and "Like Crazy" by Jimin in 2023. "Golden" also becomes the first Hot 100 No. 1 by an act with a fictional background since "We Don't Talk About Bruno" from Disney's Encanto, which reigned for five weeks in 2022. During the tracking week of 1–7 August, the single earned 31.7 million official streams in the United States, up 9% from the previous week. It also registered 8.4 million radio airplay audience impressions, a 71% increase, and sold 7,000 downloads, up 35%. The track continues to lead the Billboard Soundtracks chart for a seventh week, solidifying its chance at winning the Oscar for the Best Original Song category for which is has been submitted as a contender. In a rare move for a Netflix release, KPop Demon Hunters will also head to cinemas later this month. Select Regal Theatres will host sing-along screenings on August 23 and 24, marking the first widespread theatrical release of the film.

Spanish film star Antonio Banderas has no plans to slow down now that he has reached 65. photo: file Spanish film star Antonio Banderas said in an interview published on Sunday for his birthday that he has no plans to slow down now that he has reached 65. "When I was 20, I thought that 65-year-olds walked with a cane," said Banderas, known for roles in films such as "The Mask of Zorro", "Desperado" and "Philadelphia", in an interview with the Spanish daily El País. "Back then, at 65 you retired. Not anymore — now it's later. Maybe I'm doing things I shouldn't be doing," added Banderas, who suffered a heart attack in 2017. "But the doctors don't say anything to me. They say I'm fine, that I should do whatever I want." The actor said he has recently started music theory classes and bought himself a piano. "I think I'd be one of those people who die if they stop. And I work at what I love; it's been the luck of my life," he said. Banderas, who began acting in the 1980s, said he remains busy running the theatre he opened in 2019 in his hometown of Malaga, in southern Spain. He spent part of the summer in Boston filming a biopic of legendary chef Anthony Bourdain, titled "Tony", and then travelled to Spain's Canary Islands to work on a thriller "Above and Below".

Britney Spears' ex Kevin Federline to expose his side in raw new memoir ‘You Thought You Knew'
Kevin Federline is finally telling his side of the story. Nearly two decades after his whirlwind relationship with Britney Spears captured the world's attention, Federline is releasing his debut memoir, You Thought You Knew, set to launch on October 21, 2025. Described as 'extremely intimate and transparent,' the memoir will explore Federline's journey from backup dancer to full-blown tabloid obsession. He promises to share the emotional truths behind his meteoric rise, high-profile marriage, and ongoing challenges in the spotlight. 'If you've ever had questions, you'll find answers here,' he says. The book covers his early life in Fresno, California, his move to Nevada after his parents' divorce, and his start in the entertainment industry. He went from dancing behind artists like Michael Jackson and Destiny's Child to being thrust into the limelight after marrying Spears in 2004. Their tumultuous relationship, which included two children and a very public divorce, dominated headlines for years. Since then, Federline has largely stayed quiet, choosing to focus on raising his six children, two with Spears and four from other relationships. But the silence came at a cost. In this memoir, he reflects on the pain of having his story told for him, often inaccurately, and the strain of shielding his family from the chaos. The release comes nearly two years after Britney's own bestselling memoir, The Woman in Me, which painted a vivid picture of her life, including her time with Federline. Now, he's stepping forward with his perspective, aiming to offer clarity, closure, and perhaps a little redemption. Told through audio-first storytelling, the memoir promises a raw and personal account from a man long reduced to a headline.
