WITH Rangers toiling and Celtic clinching another title, Ibrox icon Ally McCoist doesn't have many reasons to have a bit of fun at the Hoops' expense at the moment.
So it's perhaps little surprise that he decided to hoover up the chance to do so when it presented itself!

Celtic have stormed to a fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership title this season.
Brendan Rodgers led his side to their latest success with a 5-0 thrashing of Dundee United at Tannadice.
Just a few hours later, the Gers slumped to a 2-2 draw against St Mirren having twice been pegged back.
With four games to go, and the final Old Firm clash on the horizon on Sunday, the newly-crowned champions have a 17-point lead over the Light Blues.
There certainly hasn't been much to smile about for those of a Rangers persuasion, including club legend McCoist.
So when an opportunity arose to have a little dig at the Hoops' expense arose, the 62-year old simply couldn't resist.
With Jeff Stelling off, McCoist stepped-in to the main hosting chair on talkSPORT Breakfast this morning and he was joined by former Watford captain Troy Deeney.
As always, the duo were joined throughout the show by fellow presenter Shebahn Aherne, who's a big Celtic fan.
However, just before 7am, it wasn't the Hoops that were the topic of discussion.
Instead, it was Arsenal Women's triumph of reaching the Champions League Final where they'll take on the might of Barcelona.
Celtic have clinched the Premiership title - now Hatate could leave with SIX players coming in
As the discussion came to an end, McCoist asked: "Where's the final?"
The former striker's eyes began to light up as Shebahn told him: "Lisbon. a Lisbon final"
McCoist then couldn't resist a cheeky comment as he brought the segment to a close.
He said: "Absolutely brilliant achievement.
"Congratulations to Arsenal's women's team.
"Big, big ask going to Lisbon.
"I can't think of any British team that's done anything in Lisbon in a European final."
With a wry smile on his face, McCoist began to link to the next item.
He said: "Coming up, Liverpool fans, the floor is yours this morning."
Shebahn, speechless, simply replied: "Bless him. Wow!"
McCoist then cheekily hit back with: "It's finished Shebahn!"
The ex-Scotland striker's comment was, of course, a reference to Celtic's European Cup triumph and an apparent moment of selective memory!
The Hoops' legendary Lisbon Lions side famously won the biggest prize in European football in the Portuguese city back in 1967.

Neco Williams stretched off as Wales win 3-0 in Cardiff

Craig Bellamy's side were comfortable victors in their World Cup Qualifier in Cardiff, but the win was marred by the departure to the Wrexham born star. The right-back is from the village of Cefn Mawr, near Wrexham, and is a former pupil of Ysgol Rhiwabon. Having initially come through the ranks at Liverpool, Neco has also starred for Fulham, but this season, the 23-year-old has been a been a key component within Nottingham Forest's surprising push for European football. Wales face Belgium on Monday (June 9), but there will be questions over Williams' fitness. Patrick Stewart offers glimpse into how Rangers will approach first transfer window with Russell Martin and new owners

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) PATRICK STEWART has described Rangers as a club with "unfulfilled potential" as he prepares for the first transfer window under a new ownership regime and management team. Russell Martin was confirmed as the Ibrox side's head coach on Thursday, following the arrival of Kevin Thelwell and Dan Purdy as sporting director and technical director. 2 Russell Martin and Patrick Stewart on the day Martin was unveiled as Rangers boss Credit: PA On May 30 the £90million takeover by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises was finally completed after months of negotiations. An initial £20million of investment has been promised and a share issue will follow to help raise more funds. With the Light Blues in Champions League qualifying action on July 22/23 and 29/30, the summer rebuild must start soon. We looked at how Martin could transform Rangers, in particular by recruiting trusted former players. Gers chief Stewart acknowledged there is a lot of ground to be made up on Celtic in the league, but believes Martin has arrived early enough for them to make signings before the Euro qualifiers next month. Speaking in an interview with Rangers TV, he said: 'There is a lot of hard work to be done, just to be clear. I think there always is every pre-season for Rangers because the European qualifiers come so early, so let's not shy away from that. 'That said, we have got Russell in and the transfer window doesn't open for another ten days and the first team don't return for another two weeks, so actually you could look at it glass half full and say we have got him in well in advance of those two key events. 'But let's not kid ourselves, there is a lot of hard work to be done but I know Russell is determined to get stuck into that. 'The potential of Rangers, we know it is unfulfilled at the moment. 'This is a huge club and supporters, players, management and staff, we have all been frustrated at not having achieved the heights. Rangers fans react to news Russell Martin is their new manager 'It feels now though that we are making steps forward and new ownership is a massive step forward. 'My excitement and optimism levels have definitely increased but they were always there because there is so much that is positive about this club.' Stewart was asked how Martin's experience in both Scotland and England during his career will help them in the recruitment process. He said that combining Martin's knowledge with Thelwell's contacts book should lead to positive results in the transfer market. Stewart said that they will pay close attention to the Scottish and English markets, as players there will have an understanding of the British game. But that won't stop them from scouting players further afield - the only condition being that they must ALREADY be suited to playing in Scotland, rather than trying to mould them into the finished product. He said: 'Having an understanding of the Scottish game I would say is a key factor because every league is unique and we can look at some of the fixtures that have to be played as part of the SPFL. 'Every ground has its nuances and every club has its nuances, so somebody that comes in with an understanding of that is a huge asset. 'Equally, when it comes to recruiting players having a knowledge of markets outside of Scotland and players outside of Scotland, and off-the-pitch talent outside of Scotland as well, is a huge advantage. 'So yes, I think we are really fortunate to have somebody who has that Scottish background and also English experience as well." 2 Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

Ross Doohan to answer Scotland SOS as Steve Clarke looks to ease goalkeeper crisis

He is in line to win a first cap in Vaduz against Liechtenstein as he gets set to join up with the squad ahead of jetting out Ross Doohan looks set to answer Scotland 's goalkeeping SOS ahead of Monday's friendly with Liechtenstein. The Aberdeen shotstopper - who has penned a pre-contract with first club Celtic - is in line to win a first cap in Vaduz. ‌ Steve Clarke was forced into a frantic search for cover after Angus Gunn limped out of Friday's defeat to Iceland after just two minutes. ‌ Untried Ciaran Slicker was thrown into action but, with just nine minutes of football under his belt in the last 22 months, froze on the big occasion and was at fault for all three goals in the 3-1 defeat. To add to Clarke's woes back-up Robby McCrorie was injured in the warm-up meaning the Kilmarnock keeper and Gunn join a lengthy goalkeeping casualty list that had already seen Craig Gordon, Liam Kelly and Zander Clark ruled out. Now Doohan looks set to join up with the squad ahead of flying out to Liechtenstein on Sunday. The 27-year-old made 18 appearances for the Dons last season and was capped right through the youth ranks up to U-21 level where he made 13 appearances. Bournemouth kid Callan McKenna has also been training with the squad. But the 18-year-old former Queen's Park keeper will likely just be cover. ‌ Speaking after Friday's defeat Clarke said: "It's difficult for Cieran. I feel for him. "He got thrown into a situation where he maybe wasn't quite ready for it. But Craig's injured, Liam Kelly's injured, Zander Clark was injured. "I mentioned back in March that it was something I thought might come back to bite us. The only good thing is it came in a friendly match. ‌ "For sure I'll try and call up another goalkeeper. I've had young Callan McKenna who's just turned 18-years of age, training with us and he'll travel. I'll see if I can find another one somewhere in Scotland that's not on holiday."
