The storyline is set to come to an explosive head later this year and it will lead to actor Charlie's exit.
A source said: 'Charlie has finished his stint filming.
'He's hugely popular and everyone's really sad to see him go but the storyline is great and it was all planned out before his return.
'There's going to be a big send off for Freddie as the soap ramps up for a huge summer leading to the 30th later this year.'

A Hollyoaks spokeswoman declined to comment.

Breaking her silence on her exit, she said: 'My proudest moments have to be the domestic violence storyline with Jeremy Sheffield, and of course, the phenomenal episode that was The Long Walk Home, both working in conjunction with government's campaigns to help, protect and save vulnerable people living these horrendous experiences.
'I will miss her and the show so much, but most of all I will miss the extraordinary people who work at Lime Pictures, they are the heartbeat of the show.

From Hollyoaks to Hollywood
James Corden played a caretaker in the early days of the soap.
The former American TV host doesn't have much positive to say about his time on the soap, claiming it was "hell on earth."

Rachel Shenton joined the soap as aspiring glamour model Mitzeee Minniver in 2010.
Over two years her character was sent to prison, got pregnant and had a number of romantic affairs.

After leaving the soap Ricky cracked America starring in teen drama The 100 and America Gods.
He also appeared in Strictly Come Dancing in 2009.
Warren Brown joined Hollyoaks in 2005 for a year as evil Andy Holt.

'They don't get the praise they deserve. Hollyoaks can sometimes be given a hard time, but I can honestly say I have spent over a decade working with some of the most talented, creative, kind people.

Sunday Brunch in chaos as star 'pulls out' last minute and replacement is found

Sunday Brunch faced chaos moments before going live after one artist was seemingly replaced at the last minute Sunday Brunch was thrown into chaos before going on-air after rocker Yungblud, who is no stranger to the programme, unexpectedly didn't turn up for his scheduled slot. In what seemed like a last-minute upset, the no-show occurred despite the artist being advertised on the TV guide as one of the day's guests for the live show that went out on Sunday, 8th June. ‌ The official Channel 4 summary promised viewers appearances by "Tim Peake, Ben McKenzie, Sian Gibson, and Professor Green. With music from Yungblud." ‌ Traditionally, musicians set to perform towards the end of the broadcast are seated at the table with other guests before their performance during the rolling credits, yet Yungblud's absence was stark. Not only did he miss his spot at the table of celebrities, but it also appeared that his space was swiftly taken over by Jerub, an indie-pop sensation who managed to fill in at what was probably the eleventh-hour, reports the Manchester Evening News. Oddly enough, the show's details failed to mention Jerub, and neither Tim Lovejoy nor Simon Rimmer, the hosts, offered any explanation regarding the sudden change or discussed why Yungblud wasn't there. While chatting on the couch with Lovejoy and Rimmer, Jerub acknowledged that it had been a "tight squeeze" to rearrange his schedule to appear in the studio, revealing how excited he was to "make it work" following the producers' call. ‌ Jerub disclosed that he initially intended to come from Leeds, but owing to some "trains being cancelled", he was compelled to travel frantically "by car" to ensure he made it to Channel 4 on time. Tim expressed his gratitude for the guest's presence, remarking: "It's a wonder that you made it here, really, isn't it?" but refrained from elaborating on the circumstances further. ‌ As the show wrapped up, Jerub stepped into the spotlight to perform his latest track, Deeper, captivating viewers with his vocal talent. The audience seemed unfazed by any changes in the programme, instead flocking to Twitter to praise the touching finale delivered by Jerub. One admirer tweeted: "What a song. What a beautiful voice, a beautiful ending to Sunday Brunch from Jerub #SundayBrunch." Another simply shared their awe: "#sundaybrunch wow," while yet another new fan declared: "Jerub is a new find! Love him! #SundayBrunch." Sunday brunch airs every Sunday on Channel 4, from 10am and can be streamed via My4.

Prince Harry's latest stunt sends a terrible message – the King should sever him for good, says expert

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) PRINCE Harry has reportedly considered changing his surname to Spencer, stepping away from his family's name, Mountbatten-Windsor. While reports say the Duke of Sussex was counselled against the decision by Princess Diana's brother, Earl Spencer, royal experts have claimed that it 'sends a message' to the royals. 'It was only less than a month ago that he was pleading for a reconciliation with his father and his brother. 'And the next thing we hear, and I think the story was well sourced, he wants to change the name from Mountbatten-Windsor to Spencer. 'Well, that is sending a terrible message to the royal family that he doesn't really want a reconciliation. 'He wants to be completely severed from the royal family. 'And I think the king should grant his wish. 'I think he should sever him from the royal family.' The 40-year-old asked Princess Diana's brother - Earl Spencer - for advice during a visit to the UK, it is claimed. But the Duke of Sussex was reportedly told the legal side of doing so would be too difficult. A friend of Harry's told the Mail: "They had a very amicable conversation and Spencer advised him against taking such a step." There's nothing much left of 'erratic' Harry in terms of a man, he's just watching Meghan crack on Royal correspondent Sarah Hewson added on Royal Exclusive: 'I mean, is it to send a message to the royal family? 'Is it to say, 'ok, fine, you don't want to talk to us, then we're not a part of this anymore'. 'Is it because he feels much closer to his Spencer relatives? 'They are the ones who turned up for the 10th anniversary Invictus service at St Paul's, for example. 7 If Prince Harry changed his surname, his daughter would be known as Lilibet Diana Spencer Credit: Instagram 7 On The Sun's Royal Exclusive show Charles Raw and Sarah Hewson spoke to host Bronte Coy Credit: Supplied 'There weren't any members of the royal family there. Is it to honour his mother? 'Some more cynical commentators have suggested, well, it would be very good marketing in the United States to have the Spencer name and Lilibet would then be Lilibet Diana Spencer.' SURNAME CONFUSION Harry's children go by Mountbatten-Windsor - which combines the Royal Family's name of Windsor and the Duke of Edinburgh's surname. However, Meghan Markle claimed in her Netflix show that her surname is now Sussex. The couple became the Sussexes when the late Queen gave them the titles when they married in 2018. 7 Meghan said on Netflix that her surname is Sussex Credit: Netflix Harry previously had the title Prince Henry of Wales. But on his wedding day, he became The Duke of Sussex, a title which had been vacant since 1843. Meghan was seen to firmly correct Mindy Kaling after her friend called her Markle on her Netflix show. In an episode on With Love, Meghan, the Duchess said: "It's so funny you keep saying 'Meghan Markle' – you know I'm Sussex now. "You have kids and you go, 'No, I share my name with my children'. "I didn't know how meaningful it would be to me but it just means so much to go 'This is OUR family name. Our little family name.' " Mountbatten-Windsor is the surname of descendants of the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. 7 Relations have been tense between Prince Harry and his UK family in recent years Credit: Getty Questions were raised when Harry and Meghan called their daughter a princess for the first time in 2023, when her christening was announced. The children were then officially named as prince and princess on the Royal Family's official website. Archie and Lilibet are sixth and seventh in line to the throne. Before their titles were listed as prince and princess on the royal website, they were down as Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor and Miss Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor. They gained the titles when King Charles became the King, as they are grandchildren of the monarch.

The 20-year-old showed up and showed out in an elegant cream and pink dress with sheer laced sleeves and back which draped to the floor. The British actress paired the look with some pointed nude heels and some simple jewellery. If you haven't already guessed Nico is the daughter to none other than actress Thandiwe Newton and famous director Ol Parker. Thandie and Ol also share 24-year-old Ripley and their youngest son Booker. Nico shot to stardom at just 14-years-old with her Hollywood debut of the remake of Disney's classic live-action Dumbo. She has gone on to have notable roles in HBO's hit series The Last Of Us and Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy. Now, the actress is set to star in her biggest role to date as Astrid in the upcoming live-action remake of the 2010 film How To Train Your Dragon. The film is set to release in the UK on June 9. The story will follow Hiccup played by standout actor Mason Thames on his journey bonding with a dragon, Gerard Butler will also be starring in the film as his father Stoick. How To Train Your Dragon Trailer (2025) official trailer This week, while promoting the film, Nico opened up about her famous mum and dad, on ITV's Lorraine, and revealed how "supportive" they were about her career. "My parents, the really lovely thing about both of them is that their advice is predominantly about, you know, how to be a good person, rather than, you know, how to behave on a film set," she said. "And I think that what's lovely about that is that the two kind of bleed into one another, because I think it's much more important to be a nice and normal person and be kind to others, rather than, you know, know what angle best suits you. "So, the advice that I get from them feels very, very much more so about life and things like that. 5 Nico is the daughter to none other than actress Thandiwe Newton Credit: Reuters "And the wonderful thing about that is that you can then take it on to work and wherever you go." Back in 2018, Thandiwe appeared on UK daytime show This Morning and spoke about how she manages her daughter entering the acting world. She said: 'Having a mother and father in the industry… she's been on endless sets. It's not that she takes it for granted, but it's not a world that she feels she's not entitled to be in. '(Plus) she has her mum right there like a lioness checking that everything is looked after. You can't stop the industry operating the way it has unless the truth comes out. 'I feel this great relief, excitement for the women coming into this industry now,' she added. 5 Nico's dad is famous director Ol Parker Credit: Getty
