'I live on popular Scottish island and it's not as picturesque as tourists think'

Scotland is widely recognised for its stunning landscapes with mountains, including the Scottish Highlands and Loch Ness. Many tourists like to visit the country for its nature and scenery, as well as attractions like ancient castles.
It is also famous for its cultural elements, including its wide variety of whisky, tartan kilts, bagpipes and the traditional dish haggis. Scotland is thought to offer a peaceful escape from major cities in England but one woman has shared the harsh reality of living on the nation's most popular island, the Isle of Skye. It is 50 miles long and is the largest island in the Inner Hebrides, which stands out for its dramatic scenery and picturesque fishing villages.
Niamh Mackinnon shares what her life is like on the island with videos on TikTok and YouTube.
In a recent Tiktok post the Scottish resident said: 'I live on the most popular island in Scotland and the reason we're so popular is because of specific landscapes, one of them being the Old Man of Storr, so I thought today I would show you what it's like at the height of summer because it might not be the picturesque, tranquil, peaceful dream that you are being sold online sometimes but we'll see, let's go.'
The Old Man of Storr is a towering rock formation on the Trotternish Ridge that is thought to be the most famous walk on the Isle of Skye.
Niamh got ready to drive to the popular attraction, wrapping up warm in multiple layers of clothing, waterproof trousers and walking boots.
As she pulled up, she noticed there were lines of parked cars and 'miserable' weather so she was in need of a coffee before starting the walk up to the Old Man of Storr.
She added: 'I'm not trying to just complain in this vlog but the midges are so bad. I need to get a move on and look how busy it is.'
Niamh began walking up the rocky structure but the weather was very grey, rainy and foggy and she had to walk down a muddy path with grass on either side.
The 22-year-old continued: 'I'm not even that old and there was a time when I was younger where you would come up here and know every single person that you passed. Tragic.
'I'm just sitting here like looking at how busy it is and everything and I don't know, this is when I start to feel a bit like hypocritical or like bad about how much I post Skye online because it also makes me sad seeing this place so busy when I remember a time when it was so quiet and peaceful.
'And of course it's nice for other people in the world to get to experience this and it's on my doorstep so I don't wanna be greedy but yeah, it's a weird feeling to be honest.'
The famous rocky structure can be seen in Niamh's video but it is not very visible because of the fog.
Niamh decided to end the video and walk back down because it was wet, there were a lot of people and she couldn't 'really see the Storr very well.'
She highlighted that this is 'just the reality of Skye sometimes.' Niamh's TikTok clip has amassed an impressive 2.4 million views and thousands of likes and comments.
One gobsmacked user asked: 'This is…the HEIGHT of summer???'
While another shared: 'I know this weird feeling. It's the same here in the Swiss alps. As a kid you knew almost everyone you met on a hike. Now it's packed and most tourists don't even say hello.'

Frankie Bridge shows off her incredible abs in bikini after cryptic post

Loose Women star Frankie Bridge looked sensational as she shared a series of bikini snaps from her family holiday in the Maldives after she posted a cryptic TikTok Frankie Bridge has been turning heads with her toned abs in a series of snaps from her Maldives holiday, following a mysterious TikTok post. ‌ The 36 year old Loose Women panellist took to Instagram on Friday to share some sizzling bikini photos from her family trip to the tropical paradise. Despite rumours of a feud sparked by her recent TikTok post, the devoted mum-of-two seemed unfazed as she flaunted her fit physique. ‌ Frankie looked stunning as she showcased her well-toned body in a Triangle bikini, which she tagged in the photo carousel. The former pop star appeared tanned and joyful as she giggled during the beachside photoshoot. It comes after Katie Price reaches out to Harvey's lookalike half-brother but fears 'he's too scared'. ‌ Currently, Frankie is soaking up the sun on holiday with her husband Wayne and their two sons - Parker and Carter. Taking to TikTok, the Loose Women panellist made a cryptic dig at an unknown person, seemingly suggesting she was holding a grudge. Over the video of herself holding and sipping on a glass of wine, she wrote: "You're so quiet… Thanks, you said something five years ago and I've just realised you're actually dead to me." In the caption on the actual post, she simply wrote: "Takes me a while, but once you're dead you're dead." ‌ She didn't reference who or what she was talking about in the TikTok, which had the song What The Hell - sung by Avril Lavigne - over the top of the short clip. Frankie is currently in the Maldives with her husband and their two children - Parker, 11, and Carter, nine. They took their trip to Siyam World in the Maldives alongside Wayne's friend, football coach Luke Hampton, who was also celebrating his birthday, as well as Frankie's friend, Leah Meredith, who works with her brand Faves. As well as being a panellist on Loose Women, Frankie has been open about feeling like an "awful parent" due to hating her pregnancies. The former The Saturdays singer shares two children with her husband, Wayne Bridge, and admits pregnancy wasn't "for her". ‌ In a candid admission early this year, the 36-year-old revealed that while she can't see herself falling pregnant again any time soon, she doesn't want her husband to have a v asectomy in case their marriage were to break down and he'd find love with another woman. A vasectomy cuts or blocks the tube that carries sperm, preventing men from being able to have children. But while Wayne won't be having "the snip" any time soon, the All Fired Up singer won't be giving her sons, Parker, 11, Carter, nine, and Wayne's son Jaydon, 18, from a previous relationship, any siblings. ‌ "I always wanted more than two and then once I had one, I knew I wanted a second one," she said. Frankie went on to explain that she "hated" being pregnant. She explained that she was always feelings sick and put on weight, meaning she no longer "felt like herself." In a candid admission, she stated it was a "means to an end," saying she got a lovely baby at the end. Throughout her pregnancies, Frankie suffered from Hyperemesis gravidarum. The condition has symptoms including bad nausea and vomiting, which can happen multiple times per day. While most vomiting in pregnancy stops around weeks 12 to 20, it can continue for other women. Speaking to The Sun, Frankie continued: "It's constant sickness, you feel that you're supposed to be giving your baby all these nutrients, but you literally can't eat. "I already had a two-year-old at the time, so I felt like I was an awful parent. I couldn't bear the smell of another human — it would make me sick." Frankie and Wayne tied the knot in 2014, and in recent years, she has slammed the "double standards" she has faced from cruel online bullies. She explained that while she is often trolled for working away or taking time away, Wayne never receives messages for doing the same thing. Wayne encouraged her to take a holiday with friends after she suffered a series of illnesses which became difficult to "ignore," meaning her "mental health plummeted".
