As a flagship of the French industry, PEUGEOT continues to elevate the French legacy, expertly blending world-class sophistication with cutting-edge innovation, embodying the essence of French craftsmanship in every detail. The PEUGEOT 3008 is a best-seller that has charmed more than 1,570,000 customers in 130 countries over the past 9 years.
The Next-Level PEUGEOT 3008 is produced exclusively at the Sochaux plant in France. The range is based on two trim levels, Allure and GT. Both the Allure and GT trims of the New PEUGEOT 3008 are equipped with a 1.6L turbocharged petrol engine delivering 180 hp, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. This powerful yet efficient engine is designed to elevate the driving experience, ensuring robust performance while maintaining optimal fuel efficiency, aligning with PEUGEOT's commitment to innovation and performance.
The new 3008 is recognisable by its fastback SUV styling. With its dynamic and aerodynamic shape, the new 3008 combines elegance, efficiency, and spaciousness. The vibrancy of the new 3008's feline lines also stem from the vehicle's well-balanced dimensions (length: 4.54m, width: 1.89m, height: 1.64m), making it one of the most compact in its class without compromising passenger and luggage space.
The ultra-compact high-intensity headlamps are housed in a slim, elegant strip that sits above the radiator grille and wraps around the entire front end, giving the new 3008 a particularly piercing look, asserting its modernity and personality.
In terms of exterior finish, the 3008 personifies a new, more modern, and more durable approach. Chrome parts have been removed in favour of lacquered parts: Meteor Grey on the front apron and rear bumper, Orbital Black on the mirror caps and lower beltline. PEUGEOT has equipped the new 3008 with 19-inch wheels, with their technical and geometric design, featuring the new PEUGEOT emblem at their centre.
The new 3008 is available in a range of six colours: Obsession Blue, Ingaro Blue, Okenite White, Pearl Black, Artense Grey, and Titanium Grey.
The cabin of the new 3008 offers passengers a relaxing experience, in a generous and bright interior for optimum passenger comfort and ample rear space. The new seats in Allure are upholstered in fabric and Alcantara on GT, that provide exceptional comfort.
Positioned for optimum ergonomics is the floating, curved 21-inch HD panoramic screen that combines the head-up display with the central touchscreen. This panoramic screen floats above the dashboard and is slightly curved towards the driver for optimal driver-centricity while remaining perfectly accessible to the passenger.
On the Allure version of the 3008, the new PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® is made up of two standard 10-inch digital screens integrated into a single panel in the panoramic display, giving the same floating effect as the 21-inch panel. The GT is fitted as standard with a floating curved panoramic 21-inch screen. Additionally, the cabin's strong appeal and technological character are enhanced by the ambient LED lighting, which can be customised in 8 different colours. The 3008 GT comes as standard with PEUGEOT's new Pixel LED technology, which automatically adapts the headlamp beam to traffic conditions, maintaining optimum lighting without disturbing other road users.
The passenger compartment of the new 3008 offers 17 different storage spaces, with a total volume of around 34 litres: easily accessible wireless phone charging on the centre console (standard on GT only), cooled storage space under the central armrest, a glasses holder on the roof console, cup holders and glove compartment. The driver can choose between three driving modes, Normal Mode, Eco Mode, and Sport Mode, to enable the 3008's performance to be ideally adapted to the driver's wishes and/or traffic conditions.
The 3008 features the latest PEUGEOT active safety technologies, including Automatic emergency braking with collision warning, active lane departure warning with lane departure correction, long-range blind spot monitoring (up to 75 metres), adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, and advanced traction control. It is fitted as standard with a rear camera offering the driver two angles: a rear view or bird's eye view, equipped with a cleaning nozzle to maintain a perfect image in all conditions.
As an option, the new 3008 GT is fitted with the PEUGEOT VisioPark 360° system, which, thanks to 4 cameras positioned as close as possible to the front and rear wheels and 12 sensors spread around the car, offers 360° vision of the environment. Speaking on occasion of the launch, Mahesh Ahuja, Senior General Manager of PEUGEOT Oman 'The 3008 is the flagship model of PEUGEOT and the new facelifted model truly takes driving pleasure to a whole new level. Quartararo takes pole for Dutch MotoGP
ASSEN, Netherlands: French rider Fabio Quartararo will start from pole for the fourth time this season after posting the fastest time in qualifying on Saturday for the Dutch MotoGP. The 26-year-old 2021 world champion, who will also start from pole for the sprint race later on Saturday, has yet to transform his excellent qualifying performances this season into victories. For the Yamaha rider it was a welcome return to form having failed to finish in three of the last four MotoGPs. The most crushing disappointment of all came when he was set for his first win since Germany in 2022 but suffered a technical problem in the British MotoGP last month. However, he was back to his optimistic self post-qualifying on Saturday. "I would not say I am the favourite, but I am one of the podium contenders for sure," he said. "I feel good, the bike is in good shape." He will be joined on the front row by Italy's two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Spain's Alex Marquez (Ducati-Gresini). Marquez's older brother and series leader Marc Marquez (Ducati), will start on the second row, having timed fourth fastest in qualifying. Marc Marquez — who is the only other rider apart from Quartararo to have started on pole this season — has had a rough couple of days, having fallen twice in Friday's practice sessions. "They were not high speed crashes but the problem was the run-off areas were made up of large pebbles and not gravel like the other race tracks," said Marquez, who had suffered bruising and also had to have a stitch to seal a cut in his jaw. Marc Marquez leads his brother by 40 points in the standings, with Bagnaia a distant third, 110 points adrift, heading into the 10th MotoGP of the 22 race campaign. — AFP

Leclerc fastest for Ferrari in Monaco practice
MONACO: Charles Leclerc thrilled Ferrari fans braced for another difficult day by overcoming an early collision to lead both practice sessions for his home Monaco Grand Prix on Friday. McLaren's Formula One championship leader Oscar Piastri was second fastest in practice two, 0.038 slower than last year's winner and despite running into the tyre wall nose-first at Sainte Devote. The Australian split the Ferrari drivers, with seven times world champion Lewis Hamilton third. Leclerc, who has been on pole three times in the last four Monaco races, lapped the tight and twisty street circuit with a best time of one minute 11.355 seconds in the late afternoon sunshine. He had set the pace in opening practice with a lap of 1:11.964 — a turn-up after neither Ferrari qualified in the top 10 at Imola last weekend. Aston Martin's Lance Stroll collected a one-place grid drop for Sunday's race after stewards ruled the Canadian was to blame for the collision with Leclerc running into him at the hairpin. The session was stopped for debris to be cleared with the Aston Martin requiring repairs to the rear suspension and a gearbox change. Stewards ruled Stroll had cut across Leclerc's path, with the Canadian saying he had not heard the team's warning over the radio. Leclerc broke his car's front wing in the incident but returned after a brief red flag period to go 0.163 quicker than Red Bull's four-times world champion and Imola winner Max Verstappen. McLaren's Lando Norris was third and fourth in the respective sessions. Racing Bulls' Liam Lawson was fifth in practice two, ahead of French teammate Isack Hadjar who clipped the barrier at the tunnel exit and triggered red flags with his car limping back on three tyres and a puncture. The rookie then hit the wall again at the first corner, damaging his car's rear suspension. Hamilton was only ninth in practice one after going airborne over the kerbs at the swimming pool exit while Verstappen dropped to 10th in the second session. Mercedes' George Russell was sixth and 12th respectively. Aston Martin's double world champion Fernando Alonso, yet to score a point this season, completed the top 10 in practice one and was seventh in the second session. Leclerc had played down his team's chances on Thursday while hoping for a surprise. Ferrari have lacked single-lap pace and struggled with slower corners this season but Monaco, the slowest track of all, offers the chance to set up the car without having to compromise on straight-line speed. — Reuters
