Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor are often praised for their fitness and both of them swear by the fact that having their dinner before sunset is one of the major reasons behind their fitness. Now, Malaika Arora has also endorsed the same lifestyle as the 49-year-old recently revealed that she does not eat any meals after 7 pm. In a recent interview, Malaika spoke about her routine and shared that she follows intermittent fasting of 17 hours every alternate day and in the seven hours that she eats, she likes to eat everything.
'It's all portion control. I don't believe in cheat days and stuff like that,' Malaika shared in a chat on 32ND – Lifestyle, Investments & Residences' YouTube channel. Malaika shared that unlike her son, she does not weigh her food before eating it, and prefers to eat in a bowl. 'I like eating out of a bowl and it's a specific size of a bowl and that's the amount that I will eat,' she said.
Malaika Arora then shared her intermittent fasting routine and said, 'I do intermittent fasting. That's something that has worked like magic for me. I think it just resets my entire system. I sleep better, I wake up better, I don't feel heavy. I used to do it everyday, then I started doing it every alternate day. And it's not about fasting or dieting. There's a big difference between dieting and fasting, it's a huge difference. I eat but I eat in that time, in that limited time of the day and that's what I eat.'
Malaika then spoke about her 'no food after 7 pm rule' and shared, 'Another thing that I swear by is, don't eat after sunset. My last meal is at 7 pm. I try not to eat anything after that. Until next day. I wake up early but I don't eat anything. I probably just break it with ghee. 12 noon is when I actually have my first meal. So my proper heavy meal is when I actually eat. And then I eat everything, whether it's rice, roti, sabzi, everything. I eat everything.' Malika said that she will soon turn 50 and added, that for someone who is older, they have other health concerns to take care of. 'After a certain age, you are battling with a whole lot of things. I am 49. I will be 50,' she said. Malaika recently started her restaurant business in Mumbai.

Recently, during a conversation with Nod magazine, Kareena Kapoor spoke about her new routine where she revealed that she does not eat after 6 pm, and sleeps by 9:30 pm. 'My friends know not to expect me at parties. And they respect that,' she shared.
Veteran actor Mumtaz, who is 77, also shared that she does not eat after 6 pm and credited Akshay Kumar for that advice. 'I sleep at about 9-10 pm and I get up at 4-5 in the morning. I do my exercise at 7 am then I drink black tea. Then I take very little breakfast, not very fattening. And that's it. Then I have lunch. I don't have dinner. I just take some fruits. I don't eat dinner,' she shared in a chat with Radio Nasha Official.

The wildly popular Housefull franchise is back with its fifth instalment, hitting theatres tomorrow, June 6. Judging by the impressive advance booking numbers, the film is poised for a roaring start at the box office. Known for its over-the-top comedy and star-studded chaos, Housefull 5 is already generating major buzz and looks set to deliver yet another crowd-pleasing blockbuster. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Housefull 5 is off to a flying start even before its theatrical release. According to Sacnilk, the comedy blockbuster has already amassed Rs 2.99 crore in advance ticket sales across India, with nearly 1,00,588 tickets sold for over 13,876 scheduled shows as of Wednesday evening (June 4). When block bookings are included, the film's advance business jumps to a solid Rs 7.16 crore, as per the Times of India (ToI). With these promising figures and the franchise's proven mass appeal, Housefull 5 is all set to storm the box office and deliver one of the strongest openings of the year. In comparison to Akshay Kumar's previous release, Kesari Chapter 2, which reportedly recorded Rs 1.84 crore in advance bookings, Housefull 5 has taken the lead with a far stronger pre-release performance. The upbeat momentum in ticket sales reflects the audience's excitement for the return of the comedy franchise, marking a significant boost for Akshay's box office streak. The previous instalment, Housefull 4, which hit cinemas during the festive Diwali weekend in 2019, had clocked in an impressive Rs 8 crore in bookings. Riding on the holiday cheer and franchise buzz, it went on to collect over Rs 19 crore net on its opening day, setting a high benchmark for Housefull 5 to follow. Houseful 5: Know About It Housefull 5 takes the franchise in a bold new direction with a comedy-mystery plot set aboard a lavish cruise ship. For the first time in the series, the film features a unique narrative twist—two alternate endings, each revealing a different murderer, adding an element of suspense to the laughs. The star-studded ensemble includes Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Shreyas Talpade, Jackie Shroff, Dino Morea, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Soundarya Sharma, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer and Johnny Lever, promising a high-voltage entertainer packed with chaos and comedy. Reportedly, the Housefull franchise has proven to be a box office juggernaut over the years, collectively raking in over Rs 788 crore worldwide. Leading the charge was Housefull 4, which alone contributed a massive Rs 296 crore to the global tally. With such a strong legacy behind it, expectations are sky-high for Housefull 5 to deliver yet another blockbuster hit. On the work front, Akshay Kumar has a packed slate ahead. He will be reprising his iconic role in the much-awaited Hera Pheri 3. Additionally, he's set to feature in a key role in Vishnu Manchu's ambitious project Kannappa, sharing screen space with stars like Prabhas, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal—a lineup that's already generating massive buzz.

Dilip also followed and came outside with a box of sweets. Farah told the paparazzi, 'Pehli baar abroad jaa rahe hain, bhai (This is the first time he is flying abroad)!' She then asked him jokingly, 'Kidhar hain mithai? Toh kya apne bachcho ke liye rakha hain? De unko (Where are the sweets? Will you keep them aside for your kids? Share with them).' Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Prediction: Will the latest Housefull movie end Akshay Kumar's streak of duds? Film projected to earn Rs 200 crore

Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Prediction: Akshay Kumar may have had a hectic 2024, but it certainly wasn't commercially fruitful. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Khel Khel Mein, Sarfira, Singham Again, the actor had a string of flops. 2025 also didn't start on a positive note for Akshay either, with Sky Force failing to make an impact. However, after tasting success with Kesari 2, Akshay is returning to the big screen with Housefull 5, the latest installment in the hit Housefull franchise. But will this film revive the actor's lost glory at the box office? Will Housefull 5 bring back his good fortune? Or have too many films from Akshay left the actor overexposed to his audience? We at SCREEN spoke to a few trade experts who told us Housefull 5 can be 'that film' which can turn around Akshay's fortune once again, but… 'Does Akshay Kumar's brand value still hold as strongly as it once did?' Sharing his thoughts on the same, film exhibitor Akkshay Rathie said, 'Akshay's brand value, of course, can pull the audience to theatres. It hasn't been the greatest run in recent times, but it's just a question of one film that will turn the fortune around. It has happened to so many actors. Before Wanted was released, Salman Khan had a few films that didn't do well, but after Wanted, there was no looking back. Even Shahid Kapoor had 10 films that didn't work till Sooraj Barjatiya's Vivah happened; after that, he had a thriving career. For Akshay, it's a question of one film, and hopefully Housefull 5 is that film which might make his fortune turn.' Also Read: Akshay Kumar intervenes at Housefull 5 event as women and children caught in crowd frenzy: 'Aap log ko yahan se jaana padega' Trade expert Joginder Tuteja added, 'Akshay's brand value when it comes to this franchise is impeccable. Sajid Nadiadwala has delivered four successes in a row with Housefull, so the fifth part is a very hot property. The songs have done well, trailer has worked well, of course there is a Eid factor, but as seen in the past, holiday or no holiday, if the film is something the audience is waiting for, then it will definitely take a good opening, and that will be the case here as well.' While it is a fact that Akshay Kumar hasn't had a great run at the box office lately, experts offer a different perspective. When asked if it is fair for makers to tag films as hits when they don't even manage to recover the production budgets, Akkshay Rathie said, 'It's not like Kesari 2 and Sky Force haven't worked. They have done a certain number and earned a lot of respect and love from the audience. Housefull 5 comes from a known commercial property. The franchise has always delivered numbers and earned lots of love and loyalty over its last four editions. And, a recovery of a film happens not just from the box office, but also from the sales of OTT, satellite, etc, which are very often ensured by the stardom and popularity of the lead actor. That is something Akshay Kumar continues to do even today.' 'We should not look at just the box office, but total recoveries of the film through all the avenues of monetization. As long as the people who have invested the money have a positive return, then it's all good,' Akkshay added. Joginder said, 'Who says these films didn't work? Of course, Sky Force did take one of the better openings of the year, and Kesari 2 has done well. For a niche film like that, it's a bona fide success. I am very surprised if one has a perception that these films haven't worked.' While Akshay still seems to have the charm to bring audiences to theaters, the Housefull franchise in itself is also quite powerful. Sharing what is expected from the Housefull 5, Akkshay Rathie said, 'In Housefull 5, it's not just Akshay Kumar's brand equity but also the franchise. Given the trailer, the cast, and the setup, I am very confident that the film will open to great numbers. If the reports are great, and the film is entertaining like the other parts, I am sure it will go on to do great numbers. Imagine a cast that is such an eclectic mix of people, it's one of the most exciting lineups I have seen in a while. I would be fairly disappointed if Housefull 5 doesn't do a minimum of Rs 200 crore at the box office. It has the potential to entertain the audience.' A post shared by SCREEN (@ieentertainment) Don't Miss: Akshay Kumar, Sajid Nadiadwala answer what the actor charged for Housefull 5: 'Acche paaise liye hain par tujhe kyu bataaon?' Joginder Tuteja added, 'People have been waiting for Akshay to come up with a hardcore commercial film, and this will be that. My indication is that after Chhaava, this will be the biggest success of the year so far.' Housefull 5 has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Johnny Lever, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Dino Morea, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Ranjeet, Chunky Pandey, Nikitin Dheer, Nargis Fakhri, Jacqueline Fernandez, Soundarya Sharma, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangda Singh, and more. It is slated to be released on June 6 in theaters.
