Pop singer Sophie Ellis-Bextor said she wanted to "flip the script" regarding aging and pop music with her new album title Perimenopop.
Speaking on Friday's Good Morning Britain on ITV, the 46-year-old said she used to feel that she might not be able to continue in the pop music genre as she got older.

Asked about where the idea for the title of her upcoming album Perimenopop, a play on the words perimenopause and pop, came from, she said: "I can't think.

"It might be to do with the fact I'm in my mid-40s, but my girlfriends and I, we felt like all the algorithms have shifted towards what this chapter of our lives would bring and I find myself feeling really good in myself actually.
"I'm enjoying life, I'm surrounded by lovely people.
"I love what I do and I poured a lot of that joy and celebration of years of experience of what I do, I'm so proud of it actually, so I was like, flip the script, Perimenopop here we come."

She continued: "When I was younger, I felt like pop maybe would be something I'd do when I was younger, because it wouldn't be something I could expect to still do when I got older.
"I actually think a lot of my kids' generation don't care what age you are, they just want to have good music, but also, there's so much fun to be found in this chapter of my life and I love the fact that the years have piled up.
"I'm actually super into it. I like it."

Perimenopop is due to be released on September 12.

15 names bookies think could play Ozzy Osbourne in a future film of the late metal icon

Of the pantheon (or glut) of musical biopics that could appear in the forthcoming years, one name that we bid farewell to this week stands above the rest – Ozzy Osbourne. 'The Prince of Darkness' is one of those rare musicians who managed to transcend one art form, becoming as much a beloved reality show dad as he is one of the godfathers of heavy metal. With tales of debauchery, redemption, and recovery towards the end of his life, it would no doubt make a fascinating biopic should it come to fruition. Do I hear early Oscar buzz... very early, should I say? With discussions now surrounding potentially 'when' rather than 'if' we get a biopic on the life of Ozzy Osbourne, Entertainment expert, James Leyfield, has already offered up suggestions who could play the role in the future, with some obvious names alongside a few interesting selections, depending on the nature of the biopic. So, who could play Ozzy in his life story? Here are the 15 favourites and the odds that are currently being offered. 1 . Denzel Washington (Odds: 10/1, Probability: 9.1%) A veteran Hollywood actor and an acting legend, his casting would be seen as a huge left-field choice. However, given his immense versatility, you could argue he has the dramatic chops to nail the 'Prince of Darkness' persona - especially if any biopic eschews a normal narrative for a biopic (see: I'm Not Here.) | Valery Hache/Pool/Getty Images Photo Sales 2 . Fred Hechinger (Odds: 9/1, Probability: 10%) Hechinger is a contemporary, youthful choice for the role. The young actor is best known for his work in the Fear Street trilogy and HBO's The White Lotus, making him a rising star with a unique and quirky screen presence. |Photo Sales 3 . Caleb Landry Jones (Odds: 8/1, Probability: 11.1%) A surprising entry, Jones has received critical acclaim for his roles in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and Get Out, showcasing his range with intense and off-kilter characters. His experience with dramatic, transformative roles could lend a unique depth to the portrayal of Osbourne. |for FLC Photo Sales 4 . Iwan Rheon (Odds: 15/2, Probability: 11.7%) For fans of HBO's Game of Thrones, Rheon's casting would no doubt elicit comparisons to the more villainous roles he has undertaken. But his roles in films such as The Dirt show he has the experience to pull off the musician lifestyle, having portrayed Mick Mars in the Motley Crue biopic. | CHRIS DELMAS/AFP via Getty Images Photo Sales

She first joined the soap in 1986, leaving in 1991, before making a surprise return in 2016 which was initially planned for only five months but extended to a decade. Her exit follows a series of other central character departures from the show, including Shelley King, Charlotte Jordan, Colson Smith, Helen Worth, Luca Toolan, and Sue Cleaver. Earlier this week, the Loose Women star, 47, said she walked in on her then partner Graham Quinn and another famous woman unzipping each other's clothes at HER birthday party. It was in my house. 'It was my party. They weren't having sex, but they were unzipping each other. '[They said] 'It's not what you think', but it is what I think. It's the first thing they both said." Following the bombshell claim, speculation over the mystery woman has spread like wild fire across social media. And now Myleene has insisted that she has no regrets in her honest interview with the We Need to Talk podcast. Myleene shared her manager's reaction to her podcast appearance, saying: '"You should do it, it would be good for you, but be honest, everyone knows when people aren't honest', my manager before We Need To Talk podcast. "'Errrrr s*** Leens, I didn't think you were going to be THAT honest'.. My manager AFTER We Need to Talk podcast." Myleene said podcast host Paul was able to "see into her soul", allowing her to reveal most intimate details of her life over their five hour recording session. The singer continued: "I flew back from abroad to do this podcast. I'd heard a lot about Paul C. Brunson and had seen the We Need To Talk headlines. "As I've gotten older, more comfortable with being vulnerable, I'm drawn to things that stretch and challenge me. Myleene Klass looks incredible in red bikini on family holiday in Thailand with lookalike sister "I wasn't prepared for how disarming Paul is and how he looks into your soul and pulls out the very core of what makes you tick. "I didn't think he'd be able to do it. "From the outside, what do we have in common? Maybe that was the challenge, to see what he had on me. Turns out, a lot. "We ran into the night, five hours of recording, (subsequently multiple lawyers on both sides listened back and reached for their fire blankets) and we actually REALLY got on. "The two of us in a room brought out raucous laughter, the kind where you throw your head back and ugly cackle, abject sorrow, shock and everything else in between." Myleene admitted she's "no longer scared" to be disliked after becoming a resilient woman over years of being knocked down. "My life has been played out in public for 26 years. I've lost relationships, been turned over (by men, not all men, but always men) and had to rebuild on more than one occasion," she said. "I've also won. I won my jungle crown, my MBE, my family, my place and my peace. "I don't care if people like me anymore, I'm not the terrified 20 year old girl from Hear'say being pelted with chow mein on stage for trying to sing a few songs. "I'm no longer the girl who watched her life go up in smoke, fighting for everything I'd built from people who'd meticulously planned how to take it. "I've been torn down by those who were meant to love me, I think I'll be ok. In fact, I know I will. A mixed race girl, from Norfolk, no one expected much (my school report proves this). "I learned to hustle, stand up for myself and leave the betrayals behind. Who knew being a Mum would be the making of me, as failing meant my children failing (including the ones I never got to hold) and that was never going to happen." 'Utterly devastated' Myleene recalled the moment she caught her ex allegedly cheating on her and what happened in the aftermath. 'I kicked everybody out of the party, including his mum and dad. They went back to Ireland," she said. 'And his dad said, 'He doesn't get it from me'. I was like, 'OK'. I just remember that being quite a weird thing to say.' Myleene admitted she struggled to see the woman continuing as normal after the run-in, explaining: 'I've made peace with that situation now. 'But for a long time, it was very difficult to see their life . . . Not that I would wish that on a family. I don't know, I feel conflicted. 'But my life literally just broke apart very, very publicly. 'And their life, they've managed to continue building a family brand on it and it felt so difficult for a long time. This is the person I caught him with.' Former Hear'Say singer Myleene, 47, had met Graham when he was working as part of the band's security team. Despite the incident, she went on to marry him. They had two children, Ava and Hero, during their 12-year relationship, but were granted a divorce in 2013. Recalling their 2011 wedding in Norwich, which was attended by just 16 people, Myleene said: 'It was the most miserable . . . No one forgot this wedding because I literally cried the entire reception.' It was made worse by the fact that the couple butted heads over her request for him to sign a pre-nuptial agreement. Chatting to Paul C. Brunson on the We Need To Talk podcast, she said: 'So we'd had the biggest row, myself and my ex, because I'd asked him why he wouldn't sign the prenup. 'On the night of our wedding, I asked again. I just felt something was wrong and he didn't want a big wedding. 'My best mate wasn't even at my wedding. They weren't allowed to come, otherwise he wouldn't go through with it.' Months later, the marriage was finished. She said: 'On the day he decided it was over, he pushed a little Post-It note across the table with the figure he wanted. 'I was just like, 'How have you figured this out?'.' But Myleene — who is now engaged to PR guru Simon Motson — added: 'All I will say to you is I've raised my children single-handedly, financially, as a sole parent for 12 years.' 5 Myleene said she's no longer a 'terrified 20-year-old girl from Hear'say' Credit: instagram/@myleeneklass
