PRINCE Andrew's multi-million-pound settlement paid to his sex abuse accuser has been frozen in the wake of her suicide, The Sun can reveal.
The outcast Duke of York paid Virginia Giuffre a reputed £12million in an out-of-court deal in 2022, which is now part of a looming battle over her vast estate.

Her estranged husband, Robert Giuffre, remains her next of kin despite the couple's bitter split after 22 years' marriage.
But her US-based family are determined to prevent him from getting a single penny and are preparing a legal challenge to contest his claim.
In a statement, they said: 'Virginia was able to amass settlements, but through this tragedy, funds and estates can take years to settle.'
Ms Giuffre, 41, was also paid £375,000 by Prince Andrew's paedophile pal Jeffrey Epstein in a 2009 out-of-court settlement.
She claimed billionaire Epstein sex trafficked her to the Duke of York on three separate occasions — twice when she was 17.
Andrew denied the allegations but paid out to avoid a court battle.
Virginia was found dead at home last month.
Who was Virginia Giuffre?
VIRGINIA Roberts - later Virginia Giuffre, 41, was an American-Australian campaigner and a prominent victim of the sex trafficking ring of Jeffrey Epstein.
She made claims against Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, as well as Brit socialite Ghislaine Maxwell - Jeffrey Epstein's ex-lover.
Giuffre alleged in court documents that she was procured by Maxwell, 63, the daughter of disgraced tycoon Robert Maxwell, as a teenage 'sex slave' for Epstein.
She released a manuscript just hours before Epstein's death, which added to more than 2,000 documents of a lawsuit pending against the former financier and his pals.
The legal documents were released in a defamation case involving Giuffre, who has claimed in court documents that Prince Andrew slept with her three times.
In 2019, Virginia Roberts claimed that she had sex with Prince Andrew in a toilet when she was 17, after a night where he had allegedly been plying her with vodka in a posh London club.
On February 15, 2022, it was announced that Prince Andrew settled the lawsuit - sparing him a humiliating court battle.

An Australian woman whose bouncy castle was blown into the air, leaving six children dead, has had charges against her dismissed. A freak gust of wind lifted the inflatable castle about 10 metres into the air, while a number of children were inside. The accident happened at an end of year fair at Hillcrest Primary School in Devonport, northern Tasmania in December 2021. Out of the six children killed, five had been inside the castle and one was waiting in a queue and was hit by an inflatable blower. Three other youngsters were seriously injured. Prosecutors had accused Rosemary Gamble, owner of party equipment company Taz-Zorb, of not anchoring the bouncy castle adequately. She was charged with failing to comply with a workplace health and safety duty almost two years after the accident and pleaded not guilty. Earlier today Devonport Magistrates Court dismissed the charges against her. The verdict has caused anguish among the victim's families, with some crying out in court, ABC News reports. Magistrate Robert Webster said the bouncy castle was lifted into the air by an 'unprecedented weather system, namely a dust devil'. 'Gamble could have done more or taken further steps however given the effects of the unforeseen and unforeseeable dust devil, had she done so, that would sadly have made no difference to the ultimate outcome,' he said in his decision. 'In those circumstances I find the charge is not proved. It is therefore dismissed.' Gamble said she accepted how 'deeply and tragically this incident impacted so many people and families'. 'I realise those scars will remain for an extremely long time, likely forever,' she said in a statement to ABC. 'There are no words to describe how I have felt ever since that tragic incident took so much away from so many people and left nothing but heartbreak and emptiness in its place. Massive shark spotted prowling waters just 30ft off UK holiday hotspot
The shark, believed to have been a porbeagle, was seen circling Southborne beach in Bournemouth for up to 25 minutes a matter of days after its typical feeding season began A massive shark was spotted prowling the shallow waters of a seaside hotspot, leaving beachgoers in shock as it circled a matter of feet off shore. Photos captured the large porbeagle, a relative of the great white known to live in waters off the UK's south coast, around 30 feet (just over nine metres) off the coast of Southborne beach in Bournemouth. The predator's fin was seen characteristically protruding above the water's surface as it lingered in the area for around 25 minutes as it fed in shallow waters, where the sharks tend to hunt small fish and shelled sea dwellers before moving on. Pictures posted from the scene show the dark fin emerging above the clear blue water before it swam onwards without incident, despite having caused a stir. Onlookers suggested the shark was about five feet (1.5 metres) in length. Porbeagles are one of the most common shark types in the UK, far from the usual breeding grounds of their close relative the great white. The sharks, which have the scientific name Lamna nasus, are usually seen in the summer months, between June and September, when they venture out for feeding. They usually search for fish like mackerel, whiting and herring, and other sea dwellers like octopi, squid and cuttlefish, in deep water, meaning the latest sighting was closer to the coast than the sharks would usually venture. The fish tend to stay away from humans, but have attacked in the past, notably in 2018 when a porbeagle inflicted one of the worst shark attacks in half a century on a Cornish man. Records obtained by Cornwall Live at the time documented Angler Max Berryman as having suffered horrific leg wounds after a 7ft specimen savaged him around 12 miles off Land's End. Max Berryman, 21, said the shark bit him after it was pulled aboard his trawler, telling The Sun the attack left blood "everywhere" on the vessel. He said: "It landed on the floor of the boat right next to me and was thrashing around wildly. There was blood everywhere. The shark had bitten straight through my oils, straight through my jeans and into my right leg." The fisherman added: 'Blood was pouring down my leg and the pain was so intense. I was in absolute agony.' The May attack was the fourth ever recorded involving a porbeagle injuring a human in history, with the injuries believed to be the worst suffered by a Brit since 1968. A blue shark sunk its teeth into Roy Cloke's arm as the fisherman sailed in waters just off the UK coast in June that year, with the incident described as "unprovoked".
