2026 four-star receiver target to make unofficial visit to Notre Dame

USA Today05-02-2025
As of this writing, Dylan Faison is the only receiver commit for Notre Dame's 2026 recruiting class. While the Irish might not be the frontrunners for 2026 four-star receiver recruit Brody Keefe, he at least has enough interest that he'll see for himself what Notre Dame is about.
Rivals national recruiting analyst Sam Spiegelman is reporting that Keefe, who hails from Charlotte, North Carolina, will make an unofficial visit to Notre Dame on March 28 and 29. He also has Georgia and Florida on his list for the spring.
It's hard to say exactly which direction Keefe is leaning towards. Rivals has Clemson as the favorite to land him. 247Sports lists both Ohio State and Tennessee as the programs trending most favorably for his services.
Right now, it appears College Football Playoff teams from this past season are most likely to get Keefe. That obviously would be good news for the Irish, who came one game short of winning the whole thing:
Best of luck to the Irish in their pursuit of him.

Deion Sanders, Colorado Dealt Concerning Recruiting Prediction

Deion Sanders, Colorado Dealt Concerning Recruiting Prediction originally appeared on Athlon Sports. When it comes to the 2026 recruiting class, the Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders have struggled. So far, only landing 11 commitments, ranking No. 15 in the Big 12 and No. 65 in the nation. Their luck could soon change, with Rivals' Steve Wiltfong reporting that the Buffaloes, along with the Michigan Wolverines, the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Maryland Terrapins are the four finalists for athlete CJ Sadler. It's a high-powered battle, with Rivals Industry Rankings placing Sadler as a four-star recruit, the No. 6 athlete, the No. 1 player in Michigan and the No. 123 player in the nation. Working at both wide receiver and cornerback in 2024 for Cass Tech High School, he was solid, accumulating 51 receptions, 828 yards, nine touchdowns, 46 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and one interception. Sadler Predicted to Pass on Colorado Unfortunately for Sanders and the Buffaloes, their chances of coming out on top are weak, with Rivals' Greg Smith logging an expert prediction for Sadler to choose North Carolina and head coach Bill Belichick. "With me with Coach Belichick, I had to just sit down and actually take it all in because it's Coach Belichick we're talking about,' Sadler said, according to Smith. "He coached Tom Brady and he's one of the greatest coaches ever in NFL history. Talking to him and soaking up game and talking football with him was great for sure.' For the Tar Heels, this would be a big addition to their 2026 recruiting class, which already features 35 commitments, ranking No. 4 in the ACC and No. 20 in the nation. Colorado Shouldn't Give Up on Sadler However, the Buffaloes shouldn't completely lose hope on this battle, because the athlete has previously given some major praise to the way Sanders runs the program. 'They have a great coaching staff. Coach Prime he just love the kids, love the players, he all about them," Sadler previously told Wiltfong. "That's very exciting and one thing to look at.' With a decision coming Friday, Colorado has only a few days left to turn things story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 12, 2025, where it first appeared.

Oklahoma Sooners true freshman running back impressing in fall camp

The Oklahoma Sooners made a big splash in the transfer portal with the addition of former Cal running back Jaydn Ott. Ott is expected to be the Sooners' feature back in 2025, but he's battling a sprained shoulder in training camp and has been limited. Sophomore running backs Xavier Robinson and Taylor Tatum have also been limited at times, which has opened the door for true freshman running back Tory Blaylock to get some first-team snaps. And Blaylock has taken advantage of his opportunities. Nothing's set in stone when it comes to the running back rotation, but the former four-star running back has given the coaching staff a lot to think about in the first couple of weeks of fall camp. Blaylock has impressed his head coach. Speaking to reporters after practice on Friday, Venables heaped praise on the young running back (via John Hoover media). "His physical maturity, his explosiveness, his durability. He's taken a lot of snaps," Venables said. "Tory Blaylock has been as impressive as a freshman as I've been around. We'll see what the season brings, but he's been fantastic." Blaylock was a star at Atascocita High School in Texas, showing off blazing speed and contact balance to finish as the No. 17 running back in the 2025 recruiting class. He helped set records in the 4X100 relay and ran a 10.62 100-year dash as a junior. Though he has elite speed, Blaylock's gotten bigger in his short time with the Sooners in order to hold up to the rigors of carrying the football at the SEC level. He's done all the right things to work his way into the lineup this season. With the 2025 season right around the corner, the Sooners will be forced to find opportunities for Blaylock in the offense. He's a big-play threat waiting to happen. As Oklahoma looks to rebound on offense, Blaylock's big-play ability is something the Sooners will want to get on the field. Could Notre Dame be finding another way to get the ball to star RB Jeremiyah Love?

After today's media session, it looks very much like Notre Dame football could be trying to get its star running back Jeremiyah Love extra touches. It won't come in the way that we are all thinking, as he isn't expected to get more carries, but instead could get a handful of opportunities to return kickoffs. Special teams coach Marty Biagi met with reporters today and discussed the fact that Love and Jadarian Price could both be in line to see some opportunities on his unit. Biagi complimented the star back saying that anytime 'you see a guy that is presumed a Heisman candidate starting on our punt team, which often goes overlooked, but when you have one of the best players in the country willing to go out and be a gunner on our punt team, it sets the standard for no job is too small for anybody on our team. It sets a standard for what we really want to be.' Love being a team-first player isn't surprising, as he battled through injuries at the end of last year to help the team wherever he could. If he's able to take a few of those kickoffs for scores, it should elevate his Heisman status and we could very well be seeing him in New York City in December.
