The Abu El-Enein Foundation for Social and Cultural Work, in collaboration with the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Cairo and under the umbrella of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work, has launched comprehensive training programs for families benefiting from the 'New Hope' initiative in Menofia Governorate. The program is designed to help participants achieve economic self-reliance through sustainable poultry production projects.
The training equips beneficiaries with essential practical skills and technical knowledge to manage poultry farms effectively, covering areas such as modern breeding techniques, resource management, and strategies to maximize output. To reinforce learning, participants will take part in field visits and hands-on sessions at New Hope Company on August 13 and 14, gaining real-world experience in poultry farm operations.
The Foundation emphasized that the initiative reflects its long-term commitment to empowering vulnerable families, boosting rural livelihoods, and fostering self-sufficiency. This effort is part of a broader drive to achieve Egypt's vision for integrated rural development, in partnership with leading civil society organizations across the National Alliance.

JPTi, IPLSA Urge Qatar's NHRC to Act on UN Findings in the Case of Tayeb Benabderrahmane

SeeNews Justice pour Tous Internationale (JPTi) and the International Pro Bono Legal Services Association (IPLSA) have today issued a joint press release announcing the formal submission to Her Excellency Maryam bint Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Chairperson of the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) of the State of Qatar, of an urgent complaint detailing grave human rights violations against Mr. Tayeb Benabderrahmane, a French-Algerian national and former General Advisor to the NHRC. The submission, made on 14 August 2025, follows Opinion No. 28/2025 of the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (WGAD), which found Mr. Benabderrahmane's detention to be arbitrary under Categories I, II, and III, in breach of Qatar's obligations under international human rights law. The materials provided to the NHRC include the WGAD Opinion, a forensic report confirming forgery of judicial documents, and a legal expert report detailing violations of Qatari and international law. The complaint calls on the NHRC to use its 'A' status mandate to take necessary steps to secure the immediate annulment of all unlawful judicial decisions against Mr. Benabderrahmane, to launch an independent investigation based on the WGAD's findings and the evidence submitted, to guarantee the safety of Mr. Benabderrahmane and his family from reprisals, including transnational repression, and to ensure full compensation and reparations in accordance with international standards. JPTi and IPLSA have underscored that this case is a decisive test of the NHRC's independence and effectiveness, and have called on the international community to monitor Qatar's compliance with the WGAD's recommendations ahead of the 11th Session of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) Conference of States Parties in December 2025. This action builds upon JPTi's earlier advocacy, detailed in its March 2025 briefing: Alleged Abuse of State Security Laws, Weaponization of Judiciary, and Imposition of Death Penalty in Qatar. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated

Moscow Stands Firm on Ukraine as Putin-Trump Summit Looms

Ahmed Emam Moscow remains adamant on its conditions regarding the Ukraine conflict and has no intention of making concessions, according to Russian officials. The Russian delegation accompanying President Vladimir Putin has already reached its destination, while Putin himself had not yet departed Russian territory at the time of reporting. The flight from Moscow to the U.S. state of Alaska takes about 10 hours — roughly nine hours in Russian airspace and one hour in American skies. Upon arrival in Alaska, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Moscow was bringing a 'clear position' to present to U.S. President Donald Trump during the much-anticipated summit. Lavrov described predicting the outcome as 'difficult,' but expressed hope the meeting could achieve shared objectives for both nations. He also hinted the summit's agenda could extend into the following day if progress is made. Russian official circles are reportedly optimistic about improving ties with Washington, with speculation about possible new economic and trade agreements. However, Russia remains unwavering in its stance on Ukraine, refusing to budge from conditions it set at the start of its military operation. This raises questions about what concessions Trump might offer during the talks, which are set to begin at 10:30 p.m. Moscow time. Some analysts suggest the two leaders could discuss a proposal to divide Ukraine into two spheres — eastern Ukraine under Russian control and western Ukraine either integrated into Poland or remaining under the current Ukrainian government, with possible U.S. security guarantees allowing Kyiv to join NATO. The Ukraine conflict is not the only topic on the table. Discussions are also expected to address nuclear arms control, the U.S. military presence in Europe, and international flashpoints including Syria, Iran, and the future of the Iranian nuclear deal. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
