Magnolia Bakery is giving out free banana pudding to celebrate And Just Like That season 3
And just like that, it's nearly time to reunite with our old pals Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York Goldenblatt—yes, a third (and likely unhinged) season of Max's Sex and the City spinoff series And Just Like That will hit the HBO streaming service on Thursday, May 29 and you can celebrate the show's return in especially sweet fashion thanks to Magnolia Bakery.
The New York-based bakery gained national attention back in 2001 when Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) were seen visiting the company's Bleecker Street location for vanilla buttercream cupcakes and a gossip session during a season 3 episode of SATC. So it's only fitting that Magnolia would be marking the continuation of the beloved TV franchise by offering free treats to excited fans during premiere day.
On May 29, you can stop by any Magnolia Bakery location in New York City (excluding the LaGuardia and Grand Central stalls) and say you're there for 'Summer in the City' to score a free cup of the bakery's iconic Banana Pudding—New York's ultimate dessert. If you haven't experienced Magnolia's creamy, dreamy take on the classic Southern dessert just yet, it features a smooth, rich vanilla pudding base layered with crisp vanilla wafers and fresh bananas.
Do note, though, that only 100 cups per city will be available on a first come, first served basis on the 29th, so make sure to get in line early if you want that pudding pick-me-up. Along with Carrie's hometown of Manhattan, the Max-meets-Magnolia promotion will extend to other treat-loving cities, including Los Angeles and Chicago.

Franchón Crews-Dezurn faces Citlalli Ortiz on Friday in world championship bout
Franchón Crews-Dezurn will defend her WBC super-middleweight title on Friday against Mexican-American challenger Citlalli Ortiz. Crews-Dezurn, 9-2 (2), will be defending her title over ten rounds at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York, in a bout that will be broadcast live and exclusive on DAZN. The event will take place as part of this weekend's induction at the International Boxing Hall of Fame. In 2023, Crews-Dezurn made her way to England where she lost a majority decision at the Manchester Arena to Savannah Marshall. After that, she made her way back to the US, where she won the vacant WBC title in December 2023 against Shadasia Green. Catch all the latest boxing action on DAZN Crews-Dezurn's other loss came when making her debut against Claressa Shields in 2016. That fight saw her lose a unanimous decision over four rounds. This weekend's fight marks the first defence of her title. Her opponent, Ortiz, 4-1 (1), last fought in July 2023 when she outpointed Jordanne Garcia in Albuquerque, New Mexico. So far, Ortiz's only loss has been an eight-round split decision against Diana Tapia Castro in their 2022 rematch. A professional since 2021, Ortiz won her first three fights before that loss to Tapia Castro in March 2022. She then fought her most-recent fight, against Garcia, in July 2023. Ortiz's Instagram profile indicates that she was a six-time Mexican national champion during her amateur career, alongside being a seven-time US national champion. She also won medals at the Pan-American and Central American Games and was a world youth champion in 2017. Her amateur record is indicated to have been 27-6 (3). According to the WBC's official rankings, Ortiz is currently ranked eighth within the organisation behind Raquel Miller, Lani Daniels, Shadasia Green, Melinda Watpool, Lina Tejada, Bolatito Oluwole, and Elin Cederroos. Interestingly, neither Crews-Dezurn nor Ortiz are ranked within BoxRec for their weight class due to inactivity. The top-ranked female at super-middleweight, according to the site, is Shadasia Green, 15-1 (11), followed by Hanna Gabriels, 22-2-1 (13); Melinda Watpool, 7-1 (2); Adriana Dos Santos Araujo, 6-3 (1); and Wendy Gcado, 4-1-1 (0). Mets squander late lead, then hold off Dodgers in 10
June 3 - Francisco Alvarez and Francisco Lindor each drove in runs to open the 10th inning and the visiting New York Mets held off the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 on Monday while extending their winning streak to four games. Lindor homered on the second pitch of the game, and Mets right-hander Paul Blackburn went five scoreless innings in his season debut. Closer Edwin Diaz (3-0) had his first blown save before picking up the win, while Jose Butto recorded the final two outs for his first save of the year. New York has won 27 consecutive games when Lindor has hit a home run. After losing in the National League Championship Series to the Dodgers last fall, New York has three victories in four games against Los Angeles, all since May 23. Shohei Ohtani hit a home run for the Dodgers and had a game-tying sacrifice fly in the ninth against Diaz. Andy Pages delivered an RBI single in the 10th, but Los Angeles failed to score again with runners at first and second with no outs. Left-hander Tanner Scott (0-2) gave up two runs (one earned) in the 10th to see his ERA rise to 4.73 in his debut season with Los Angeles. Starter Dustin May gave up two runs on six hits in six innings, issuing two walks and striking out five. The first-inning home run gave Lindor 14 on the season and four in the past four games. The Mets made it 2-0 in the fifth on an RBI ground-rule double from Brandon Nimmo. Blackburn cruised in his first start since Aug. 23 of last season, giving up three hits with one walk and three strikeouts. He had been out with hand, spine and knee injuries. The Dodgers broke through in the seventh on Ohtani's 424-foot home run to right field off right-hander Max Kranick. It was Ohtani's 23rd of the season to tie for the major league lead with the Seattle Mariners' Cal Raleigh, and his sixth in eight games. Alvarez's RBI double to right opened the 10th for New York against Scott, and then Lindor drove in the eventual game-winning run on a single to the left field corner. --Field Level Media

First held in 1974, the event remains entirely volunteer-run and continues to offer free entry, welcoming thousands to the city's historic parkland each year. This year's programme includes two live music stages featuring a wide range of local acts, a community zone showcasing Edinburgh-based charities and groups, and over 100 market stalls selling crafts, food and vintage goods. A popular dog show returns on Sunday, along with a funfair and children's entertainment across both days. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad The festival aims to be as accessible and inclusive as possible. There are dedicated quiet spaces, baby changing areas and fully accessible toilets. In recent years organisers have also placed a strong emphasis on sustainability, providing water refill stations and encouraging low-waste practices. Events like the Meadows Festival play an important role in the civic life of Edinburgh. They offer a platform for local performers, artists, traders, and campaigners, and bring residents together in a shared space at the heart of the city. As MSP for Edinburgh Central, I commend the volunteers and organisers who have sustained the festival over five decades. Their work has created a valuable cultural institution rooted in community participation. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a regular attendee, I encourage everyone to visit the Meadows this weekend and take part in a proud Edinburgh tradition.
