A sequel to The Devil Wears Prada wouldn't be complete without a scene at some version of the Met Gala. Luckily, the movie filmed their take on the iconic fashion event on Friday, August 1, at the Museum of Natural History. Photos from the set show Meryl Streep dressed as her character, Miranda Priestly, wearing her idea of a perfect red carpet ensemble. Naturally, it's stunning.
In the new behind-the-scenes images, Streep can be seen posing with Stanley Tucci, playing Nigel, wearing a rich red gown with an asymmetrical neckline, one long sleeve, and a dramatic full skirt. She had her short platinum hair swept back and wore statement earrings with red and white jewels and a red stone ring. Tucci wore a black tux with a polka dot bowtie and a long black and white scarf.
Bridgerton's Simone Ashley, who plays a new character in The Devil Wears Prada 2, was also seen on set in a sculptural take on the little black dress. The skin-tight ensemble featured sheer panels across her torso and an elevated neckline of netted fabric decorated with black rhinestones. She accessorized with a small black purse, hair ornaments, and shimmering tights.
Ashley's character details have been kept under wraps so far. Aside from Streep and Tucci, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt are returning for the sequel, and new cast members reportedly include Lucy Liu, Pauline Chalamet, Kenneth Branagh, Tracie Thomas, B.J. Novak, and Justin Theroux.
Hathaway recently spoke about returning to the world of DWP with WWD. The star is also reprising her role in the upcoming The Princess Diaries 3.
'I was so beautifully cared for on both of those films,' she said of her experience as a young actress on set in the original movies. 'I was so guided and looked after and cared for by the communities that made both of those films in particular, each of their directors, Garry Marshall and David Frankel.'
She added, 'I'm so excited that now I can do that for other people, that now I have the knowledge and the experience and the confidence to take care of other people on sets in which I'm looked at as a leader.'

Doja Cat unveils new look, mocks Sydney Sweeney ad before Outside Lands

Ahead of her headlining set at Outside Lands in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, Doja Cat unveiled a vintage-style hotline and striking new look to promote her forthcoming album 'Vie.' Callers to 747-246-7262 are greeted by the Grammy winner's sultry voice, offering tongue-in-cheek relationship advice. 'Love is complicated, but calling us isn't,' she says. 'A place for the lovers who feel too much, too fast, too often… I'm no couples therapist, but I do have some opinions.' In a nod to her upcoming single, 'Jealous Type,' listeners are prompted to press 1 for commentary on jealousy — 'You're passionate, you're furious, maybe just a little unhinged,' she offers — or 2 for thoughts on location-sharing in relationships. 'If it feels like a leash,' she advises, 'time to set some boundaries or maybe just block them.' The hotline's launch on Thursday, Aug. 7, also includes a bold visual transformation. Teasing 'Vie,' the 29-year-old artist appears nearly unrecognizable, channeling a dreamlike 1980s madam, with platinum blonde waves, exaggerated shoulder pads and bright blue eyeshadow. 'I feel like I've just been inspired mostly by the '80s a lot lately,' she told reporters at this year's Met Gala, where she first previewed 'Jealous Type' in a Marc Jacobs collaboration. The new single, produced by fellow Outside Lands performer Jack Antonoff of Bleachers and Ari Starace, does not yet have a release date, nor does 'Vie,' which Doja Cat has described as a more pop-forward follow-up to 2023's 'Scarlet.' Meanwhile, the artist jumped into the online discourse last week with a viral TikTok parody mocking Sydney Sweeney's controversial American Eagle ad. The clothing campaign, which features Sweeney alongside the tagline 'great jeans,' drew criticism for evoking the language of eugenics. In her spoof, Doja Cat mimics Sweeney's monologue in an exaggerated Southern accent. She captioned the clip, 'my jeans are blee.' It has racked up more than 33 million views. Doja Cat, known for hits like 'Need to Know' and 'Paint the Town Red,' has earned 16 Grammy nominations and won her first in 2022 for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with the song 'Kiss Me More,' featuring SZA. But she isn't the only Outside Lands performer channeling hotline energy. 'It's cocky, and it's a little petty in the cutest way,' the Ethiopian-Sudanese artist said in a statement. 'Your haters are always your biggest fans.'

Lisa Rinna Talks Hair Confidence, Experimenting With Styles in Campaign With Bumble and bumble

In another universe, Lisa Rinna would gladly grow her hair long and dye it black à la Demi Moore. In reality, she'd rather not commit; that's what wigs are for anyway. Instead, the 62-year-old actress prefers to keep her trademark spiky, above-the-shoulders cut with lots of layers. 'I've had the same haircut for so many years, I found what works for me,' she told WWD over a phone call. 'It's a lot more fun to experiment.' More from WWD Serena Kerrigan Talks With Neutrogena About New Steamy Romance Series Introducing Almave Humo, Lewis Hamilton's New Non-alcoholic Mezcal Alternative Nike's Wildly Colorful Cactus Plant Flea Market Collaboration Is Coming Soon Short, Anderson .Paak bowl cuts, bombshell Marilyn Monroe-inspired blond, micro bangs, bobs and most recently, Moore's long hair — the 62-year-old actress has, indeed, tested almost every style imaginable, changing in and out of wigs like outfits. 'As an actor, I love to play characters, but when you get to be of a certain age, the acting jobs don't come in as frequently as you might like them to. So, it's been fun for me to express myself and to play these characters,' she explained. As statement-making as these personas are, her natural style is an integral part of her personality. 'My hair is pretty iconic,' Rinna said, referencing the cut and her muddy brown and blond coloring. Yet, she's never partnered with a hair care brand — until now. Announced in July, the former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star is teaming up with the prestige brand Bumble and bumble for her inaugural partnership. 'I believe in working with people that you connect with, and that you have some sort of affinity with. I love the Bumble and bumble products; I have for many years. And so, it felt right to me when they came to me and said, 'We'd love to partner with you,'' Rinna said. Some of her favorite Bumble and bumble products include the Sumo Liquid Wax and Finishing Spray, priced at $37, and the hero product at the center of this campaign, the Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Heat Protectant Leave-In Conditioner Primer, priced at $34. The spray, specifically, has been like a new 'toy' for Rinna to mess around with. She's swapped her classic pomade for the liquid wax, using it to mold sections of her hair, while the primer oil has helped restore moisture and shine to her head after she spontaneously dyed her hair platinum last year. 'At this point, you never think you're going to find new hair products that excite you, especially when you've had the same hairdo for 25 years or more. So, it was really a pleasant surprise, and now I can't live without it,' she said of the hair wax. 'When I went platinum, it trashed my hair, and so I had to use a lot of treatment to get my hair back, and one of them was the primer oil. It's been really great.' The primer oil is powered by Bumble and bumble's Featherlight 6-Oil Blend, which works to add shine, detangle knots and protect against UV rays and heat. According to Bumble and bumble, Rinna's campaign responds to rising consumer demand for multifunctional, simplified hair care products and routines that aren't overpowering or damaging in the long term. Bumble and bumble credits itself as a leader of this movement since its inception in 1977 in New York City. More than that, the brand and Rinna plan to use their union to inspire new beauty standards that encourage creativity and confidence as the reality star models. 'All I can ever do is show by example of what I do,' Rinna said. 'And so I think that if that helps anyone or teaches anybody something or gives somebody an idea to try something different, I'm all for it. I do what I do. So, if it affects somebody positively, I think that's a nice goal.'
