Person injured after concrete mixer crashes into house in Auckland
One person is reportedly injured after a concrete mixer flipped into a house in the Auckland suburb of Remuera this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Rangitoto Avenue just after 9am Monday.
A Fire and Emergency (FENZ) spokesperson said two appliances were sent to assist ambulance officers.

Photo: Supplied / Customs Customs officers have found $1.6 million worth of cocaine "intricately" hidden in a suitcase at Auckland Airport. Four kilos of the drug were concealed in the panels of the bag of a passenger who had arrived on a flight from Chile yesterday, Customs said. "This one was quite an intricate concealment - its detection relied on our officers' training and tenacity. They kept looking until they found it," he said. "Organised crime uses a number of ways to attempt to smuggle narcotics into New Zealand. Our experienced officers use a range of techniques to detect concealments." If it was sold, the drug would have been worth $1,552,000 and finding it has prevented a lot of social harm and cost to New Zealand, a Customs spokesperson said. A 25 year old woman has been charged with the importation and possession of a Class A controlled drug. One found dead, one seriously injured in boat on Lake Manapouri
The missing boat was found shortly after midnight at in Safe Cove on Lake Manapouri Photo: One man was found dead and another was seriously injured when police located a boat that had failed to return from a fishing trip on Lake Manapouri overnight. Southern Area Commander Inspector Mike Bowman said police are investigating what happened before the pair was discovered. He said the alarm was raised about 7:20pm on Sunday night, when two experienced fishers failed to return from a fishing trip on the lake, and also failed to check in on the radio. Bowman said a local helicopter was used to search for the boat, and it was found with the two men on board about 12:30am in Safe Cove. "One was deceased, and the other was in serious condition and treated at hospital where he is recovering well," said Bowman. Bowman said enquiries will be made by police on behalf of the coroner. 20 year old killed in Hamilton brawl was celebrating his birthday
Police have said the 20-year-old killed after a brawl in Hamilton at the weekend was celebrating his upcoming birthday at the time. Locals near to the scene of a fatal brawl in Hamilton have voiced there concerns about safety in the area. Police have launched a homicide investigation after the young man's death which followed reports of a fight on Alexandra Street just after midnight on Sunday. Three others were also injured, some seriously, but they've since been discharged from hospital. Finn Blackwell reports.
