GTA VI Trailer Just Got Dropped Out of Nowhere

Geek Feed08-05-2025

Grand Theft Auto VI was one of the most anticipated games of the year, and a lot of people were disappointed when it was reported that GTA VI would be delayed to 2026.
Sure, it's a bummer for fans, but Rockstar has decided to be nice about it by shadow-dropping a new GTA VI trailer. Check this out:
Here's the official description for the game:
Vice City, USA.
Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.
While I'm sure one of the characters is played by character actor Stephen Root, Matty Matheson from The Bear is unmistakable—they even kept a lot of his tattoos.
The trailer has everything that fans would be expecting from a massive new GTA game, from weapons and vehicles, to all kinds of crime gigs that glamorize the world of Grand Theft Auto . Since the last game was so massive, some are also expecting all kinds of minigames in this one; besides exercising, I'm sure there's also going to be a picking-up garbage mini-game while you do community service.
GTA V came out back in 2013, and a lot of fans have been waiting for more than a decade for the seriel. We don't know exactly what Rockstar has in store, but after all this waiting, fans are expecting this to be worth the $100 price tag it's rumored to have when it launches.
Jump into GTA VI next year when the game comes out for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 6, 2026.

Marvel Rivals: Wolverine's New Skin has Sparked a Debate on the Game Being Sexist

Ever since Marvel Rivals came out, the game has been branded as 'gooner bait' for the sexualization of several characters; but on the flip side, some fans argue that both men and women are equally sexualized in the game, so it's all fair. However, the recent release of Wolverine's Weapon X skin seems to have proven that men get more of a pass when it comes to being objectified. First, let's check out the reveal: 🆕 Wolverine: Weapon X Coming to the #MarvelRivals in-game store on Thursday at 10 PM EDT. — Miller Ross (@mmmmmmmmiller) June 2, 2025 Immediately, a lot of fans are outraged that the skin would have Wolverine wearing long shorts. Anyone who knows their X-Men history knows that this look often has Wolverine in trunks or completely naked. Even the Fox movies knew they had to show as much skin as they could: Admittedly, they did give Weapon X shorts in X-Men: Apocalypse , but everyone agrees that was a bad movie. Already the reveal of the Weapon X skin is getting spammed with complaints about Logan wearing pants and not being fully naked. I mean, I get why they can't make him naked, but they could have at least settled with trunks. Invisible Woman and Emma Frost have skins that are as revealing as they can get. Meanwhile this is the Weapon X in other media… Rivals truly isn't beating the misogynist/Gooner allegations with this one… — Kendra Targaryen (@UncannyKendra) June 2, 2025 Seeing how conservative NetEase is (when it comes to men), it's possible that they wouldn't be 'fixing' this anytime soon. Either way, it does seem like some fans are pleased with the look, and that's all you really need. Marvel Rivals is now available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. The Weapon X skin comes to the store on June 6.

Chris Evans Jokes that the Movies He's Doing are ‘Ruining His Career'

It's no mystery that Chris Evans has kind of had a slump in projects since Avengers: Endgame , and the internet has been teasing how Sebastian Stan had locked in compared to him when it comes to roles outside of the MCU. As it turns out, even Evans is in on the joke. During a promo for LAD Bible with Materialists co-stars Dakota Johnson and Pedro Pascal, everyone was asked on whether they would rather 'Relive Their Most Awkward Interview Once a Day' or 'Let Each Other Pick Their Next Movie Roles for the Rest of Their Lives' to which Evans joked, 'I'd always put you in the movies I'm doing, ruin both those careers.' "I'd put you in the movies i'm doing, ruin both those careers" 😂 — Chris Evans 🎥 Lad Bible — Culture Crave 🍿 (@CultureCrave) June 3, 2025 Of course, Evans was joking, but it does hit a little too close to home when you consider that his past projects like Lightyear, The Gray Man, Ghosted, Pain Hustlers, and Red One barely got any critical acclaim. Probably the only project of his that got any praise was Knives Out . I also loved the Scott Pilgrim anime, but even that one isn't getting a second season. For now though, Materialists does look fun, and it seems like a return to form for Evans not being the boy scout type. I do hope that he gets to do more artsy projects in the future, but for now, it does seem like he's in some kind of blockbuster slop limbo. Watch out for Materialists when it comes to cinemas on June 13.

The Last Jedi Director's Rian Johnson had Advice for Natasha Lyonne

Natasha Lyonne as a public figure is generally well-liked, but she did get backlash when it was reported that she was going to use AI to direct her first film. Seeing that AI has become such a touchy topic online, Lyonne was met with a lot of backlash, to which she had some advice from Poker Face director Rian Johnson, who faced the wrath of the Star Wars fandom back in 2017 when The Last Jedi came out. Talking to Variety, Johnson says that his advice to Lyonne was simple: 'shut off the noise and just make things.' Johnson says: '… Any great art, during the process of making it, is going to seem like a terrible idea that will never work… Anything great is created in a bubble. If it weren't, it would never make it past the gestation period.' As for Lyonne's project, she wants to clarify that it's not a 'generative AI movie' and that AI will be used like a 'tool' for things like set extensions. There is also an emphasis that the material used for the AI will be copyright-cleared and 'ethical'. When it comes to backlash, it does feel like Lyonne is trying to take it easy. She says about being in the backlash hole , 'I've never been inside of one of those before… It's scary in there, if anyone's wondering. It's not fun when people say not nice things to you. It grows you up a bit.' We don't know when Lyonne's movie is coming out, but you can catch her in Poker Face Season 2 now streaming on Peacock.
