Who Is the New Michael On 'General Hospital'?

Yahoo21-05-2025
It's been months since General Hospital fans saw Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) on-screen.
The charter was written out in a blaze of glory after Duell revealed he was exiting the ABC soap earlier this year. Despite GH executive producer Frank Valentini stating that the character would not be recast, that's no longer the case.
With the Nurses Ball and May sweeps in full swing, the show's poised for a Michael return. A mysterious man on an airplane, watching Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) on the Nurses Ball red carpet, points to Michael coming home.
The General Hospital preview teased a shocking arrival at the Nurses Ball, setting the stage for Michael to make a grand entrance.

It won't be Duell in the role, though. Even though fans want Duell to return, the actor has moved on to other projects.
The new Michael also won't be The Young and the Restless alum Robert Adamson, who stepped in for Duell a few times on the ABC soap.
In April, Adamson called out General Hospital for not allowing him to audition for a role he has played in a pinch multiple times. Adamson's words got the rumor mill buzzing that The Young and the Restless alum Rory Gibson landed the role of Michael.
Gibson's name has been making the rounds on social media, and many fans are convinced he's bringing a darker version of Michael to Port Charles. Since GH plans to keep mum about the recast, fans will have to keep tuning in to find out who takes over the role.
Mark Teschner is a great casting director so if Rory Gibson is NuMichael I have no doubt he will be great and will make the role of Michael Corinthos his own 🔥 #GH pic.twitter.com/GeQwnMmFIV

The good news is that the new Michael will be revealed very soon.
General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC and streams on Hulu.

Will Trent Season 4: Latest updates on release date, cast and plot details

Fans of Will Trent can't wait to jump back into the intense world of Special Agent Will Trent and his team at the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. After the nail-biting Season 3 finale, excitement for Season 4 is through the roof. Here's everything you need to know about what's coming next — from when it's hitting screens to who's back and what's in store. Release Date: When Will Season 4 Hit Screens? ABC has confirmed Season 4 will arrive early next year, probably January or February 2026—right on schedule like past seasons. Filming started in August, so things are moving fast. With 18 episodes coming, fans have plenty to look forward to! Cast: Who's Returning and Who's New? At the heart of Will Trent is its incredible cast, and the good news is most of your favorites are coming back. Ramón Rodríguez returns as Will Trent — not only acting but also directing several episodes, including the premiere. That means the show's authentic vibe and character depth will stay strong. Key cast members returning include Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski, Will's on-again, off-again love interest and APD detective; Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Will's loyal GBI partner; Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood, the tough, complicated detective; and Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner, the GBI deputy director — though her fate is still up in the air after last season's cliffhanger. A big win for fans: Kevin Daniels, who plays Detective Franklin Wilks, has been promoted to a series regular. Expect to see more of him and his connection to Angie, which could stir things up in the team. There might be some familiar faces returning too — Gina Rodriguez, who joined last season as assistant district attorney Marion Alba and Will's new love interest, may come back. The showrunner teased that it's definitely possible. Also, Scott Foley, as Angie's partner Seth and father of her baby, could appear depending on his schedule. And Yul Vazquez as Sheriff Caleb Roussard, Will's biological father, is expected back, which means more focus on Will's family story. Plus, there's a new female character from the District Attorney's office coming in, who will probably impact Angie's journey into motherhood — adding a fresh layer to the drama. Plot: What's Next for Will Trent? Season 3 ended on a huge cliffhanger — the team stopped a terrifying bioterrorism attack in Atlanta, but not without consequences. Amanda Wagner was shot protecting Angie, and we don't yet know if she'll recover. Michael Ormewood's sudden collapse hints at more health troubles. Meanwhile, Angie, who's pregnant with Seth's child, seems to be closing the door on her complicated relationship with Will, setting up emotional shifts ahead. Showrunners Liz Heldens and Daniel Thomsen say Season 4 will bring 'seismic changes' for everyone. A big focus will be on Will's relationship with his biological father, Caleb, diving into both the good and messy parts of their bond. We might even get flashbacks about Caleb's tragic love story with Will's late mom, Lucy, which adds depth to Will's backstory. Angie's pregnancy will likely shift her priorities, possibly pulling her away from active duty toward motherhood — and that could create tension, especially with Will, as they adjust to working side by side but no longer being involved romantically. Of course, the GBI team will be back solving high-stakes crimes, mixing thrilling investigations with personal drama — exactly what fans love about the show, rooted in Karin Slaughter's bestselling novels. And for book fans, there's buzzing speculation about Sara Linton, Will's love interest from the novels, finally making an appearance. That might wait until Angie's storyline wraps up, but it could open a hopeful new chapter for Will after the emotional ups and downs. Ahmedabad Plane Crash

‘What's Happening!!' child TV star Danielle Spencer dies at 60

Child star Danielle Spencer, who portrayed Dee Thomas on the 1970s comedy TV series 'What's Happening!!,' has died at 60, according to former co-star and friend Haywood Nelson. In an Instagram post, Nelson said Spencer died Monday in Virginia. Family spokesperson Sandra Jones confirmed to the Associated Press that Spencer died after a yearslong battle with cancer. Nelson told NBCLA Tuesday that he spoke with Spencer's mother, who confirmed she had died. He described Spencer as a 'brilliant person who loved animals' and moved on from acting to become a veterinarian. Nelson, who played Dwayne as Spencer's ' What's Happening!! ' co-star, told NBCLA he spoke to her about a week ago and marveled at her positivity and optimism. 'Dr. Dee, our brilliant, loving, positive, pragmatic warrior, without fail, has finally found her release from the clutches of this world and a body,' Nelson said in his Instagram post. 'We celebrate Danielle Spencer and her contributions as we regret to inform her departure and transition from a long battle with cancer.' Spencer was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2014 and underwent emergency surgery for brain bleed in 2018. She played Dee Thomas, a sassy young member of the Thomas family on 'What's Happening!!,' which was broadcast on ABC from 1976 to 1979. She reprised the role in 'What's Happening Now!!' in the 1980s. Born in New Jersey, Spencer was seriously injured in a major car crash in 1976 that killed her stepfather, actor Tim Pelt. She attended the University of California, Davis and pursued a degree in medicine. She then pursued her life-long passion for helping animals, attending Tuskegee University Veterinary School in Alabama and becoming a veterinarian in 1996.

Latest Speculation About Jimmy Kimmel Live Getting Canceled Explained

Fans are worried about Jimmy Kimmel Live's cancellation as speculation continues to grow. Recently, Kimmel announced that he has obtained Italian citizenship while also sharing his candid thoughts on the political landscape in the U.S. While he hasn't confirmed moving away from the country, his latest citizenship update has sparked rumors about him relocating and leaving the show. Here's a detailed look at the speculation and the truth. Why are fans speculating that Jimmy Kimmel Live will get canceled permanently? Kimmel's recent Italian citizenship claim has made fans think that he might leave the country, and his show might get canceled permanently. It is to be noted that these are just speculations, and neither Kimmel nor ABC has confirmed any of these rumors. In a conversation with his former girlfriend on The Sarah Silverman Podcast, Kimmel confirmed that he has obtained citizenship in another country, saying, 'I did get Italian citizenship. I do have that.' He further went on to express his honest thoughts on Trump's administration. 'What's going on is… as bad as you thought it was gonna be, it's so much worse. It's just unbelievable. I feel like it's probably even worse than [Trump] would like it to be,' he added. Worries about the fate of Jimmy Kimmel Live have been surfacing ever since Trump criticized him. Trump suggested that, following Stephen Colbert, whose show was allegedly canceled for financial reasons, Kimmel could be next to face a similar fate. 'The word is, and it's a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone. These are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. It's really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it!' (via Truth Social) Kimmel hit back at Trump's criticism on Instagram. He wrote, 'I'm hearing you're next. Or maybe it's just another wonderful secret.' For now, reports of Kimmel's show getting cancelled remain unconfirmed.
