Original activities and courses to enjoy with your pet in Buenos Aires

Time Out2 days ago

Dogs and cats are no longer just 'pets': they're part of the family. And Buenos Aires gets it. The city is full of creative proposals that go beyond the typical walk around the park: pet-friendly hotels, restaurants that welcome animals — check out our top picks — yoga classes with pets, organized walks, workshops, and many other experiences designed to share with them.
The best part? These experiences also change us. Because when we choose to give them quality time, we're also giving ourselves a gift: we relax, break away from routine, and deepen a connection that, as we know, words can't fully describe.
Choosing activities that prioritize their wellbeing is also a way of showing how much we love them. We've put together a list of fun, thoughtful, and responsible activities to enjoy with your pet in Buenos Aires.
Yoga with Pets
Yoga With Them is the first experience of its kind in Argentina — and the only one of its kind internationally — combining yoga with dogs in a project with a social mission. The initiative promotes responsible adoption while actively supporting shelters and rescuers.
What started almost a year ago as a dream has now become a huge success. Nicole Yerien, the founder, along with yoga instructor Carla Scaramuzza, fondly recall the early days: commitment, love, and connection are the words that define this experience.
Beyond relaxation and connection, you can also help — or even adopt — right there during the class. Yes, you might meet your next family member during a session. Because adoption is love, and caring is commitment.
What are the yoga sessions like?
Each event includes three sessions per day, with limited spots for 15 to 20 participants each. The sessions last about an hour, and there's a 45-minute break between them so the dogs can rest. First comes the yoga class (with adoptable dogs — both puppies and adults), followed by a free play session and interaction. The event ends with a presentation from the participating shelter.
Part of the ticket price goes directly as a donation to the shelter. Besides promoting physical and emotional wellbeing, Yoga With Them acts as a bridge for potential adopters to meet their future pet — with full support and guidance from the shelter.
Important: If you already have a pet, you can't bring them. The activity is meant to foster new adoptions and create that special first encounter with a potential new companion.
Also of interest: Less Tinder, more running, the social plan taking over Buenos Aires
Although similar experiences exist abroad, Yoga With Them is a pioneer in Argentina, driven by a strong social mission. Each session raises awareness about adoption, supports foster homes, and amplifies positive impact. And if you already have a pet, maybe it's time to welcome a new one.
Upcoming sessions will be held in Palermo, and the plan is to rotate through different spaces to reach more shelters and people. Updated info on dates and locations can be found on their social media and WhatsApp channel. Tickets are available here, and spots sell out fast — so stay tuned!
Celebrate Your Pet's Birthday
Recently opened in Caballito, Rubí Café has already won the hearts of pet lovers who can't imagine plans without their furry friends. Designed to welcome every family member — humans and dogs alike — it's the new go-to place to celebrate your pet's birthday. A one-of-a-kind space made for everyone.
The idea was born from the bond between Camila De Camargo Aranha and her Golden Retriever, Rubí, and a need many share: finding a space where you can truly enjoy time with your pet.
In Buenos Aires, dog and cat birthdays are now a proper celebration — with cake, themed décor, special menus, and great vibes. Rubí Café allows you to reserve an exclusive area of the café to celebrate in style, with gift kits and options designed for both humans and pets.
The best part? The pet-friendly menu mimics a traditional café menu — but adapted for animals. Cakes, cupcakes, croissants, donuts, empanadas, and cookies: all made with healthy, safe ingredients, without additives or preservatives, in a homemade bakery just for animals.
Perfect for celebrating your furry companion or surprising another pet-loving family with an unforgettable gift. They also offer delicious, healthy pastries for humans.
With just a few tables — indoors and outdoors — Rubí Café offers an intimate atmosphere, perfect for sharing with pets, far from the noise of larger venues. For that reason, booking in advance is recommended, especially if you're planning something special.
This café isn't just a place to enjoy a treat: it also promotes responsible pet ownership and aims to build community among those who consider their animals part of the family. Reservations are made via direct message on Instagram.
A Real Sleepover with Your Pet
If you thought five-star pleasures were only for humans, think again: Hilton Buenos Aires has joined the global trend of VIP pets and now offers a luxury experience for you and your four-legged friend.
Whether you're visiting the city or just want a weekend escape without leaving your dog or cat behind, the hotel has created a special package where everyone is welcome — yes, everyone.
The stay includes breakfast for both humans and pets, comfy beds and bowls in the room, and a premium welcome kit with food and a cozy blanket (spoiler: it might become their favorite spot in the world).
And there's more: Hilton's classic Tea Time is now pet-friendly. At the Lobby Bar, while you enjoy a stylish afternoon tea (scones, teas, the full experience), your loyal companion will get special snacks and fresh water — a pampering moment for both, guilt-free and stress-free.
Online Course: Learn to Photograph Your Pet
Online courses are more popular than ever — and this one has it all: it's fun, practical, and best of all, you can do it with your four-legged best friend.
Introduction to Dog Photography is a course by Santos Román, a photographer specialized in pet portraits, designed for those looking to capture more than just a photo — a connection.
Available on the renowned platform Domestika, the course reveals the keys to memorable portraits: understanding canine body language, building trust, and making each session flow naturally. It also includes editing tips and access to 17 extra resources to enhance your work.
Perfect for animal lovers, aspiring photographers, or professionals wanting to expand their portfolio with sensitivity and skill.
With 16 clear and dynamic lessons, it's a great choice if you're looking for a new hobby from the comfort of home. After completing it, you'll be able to photograph your pet like they deserve — whether it's in your living room or their favorite park.
Whatever activity you choose, sharing quality time with your pet strengthens your bond and brings joy to everyday life. For info and registration, click here.
Bonus Track: Dog Trainer Course
For over 25 years, Pablo Capra has led Escuela Canina Selva, a top reference in dog training in Buenos Aires. Together with a team of specialists, he offers one of the city's most comprehensive and up-to-date dog trainer certification programs. It's not just about teaching tricks: it's about building a meaningful bond with your pet, understanding their behavior, and enhancing their wellbeing. The program's success has even gone international.
Also of interest: Mishmosos, the kitten hotel that's all the rage
The dog trainer program is divided into three four-month levels, combining theory and practice: one weekly online theory class, one online practice class with your pet, and one in-person class in the park.
In addition to training future dog educators, the school also works with dogs and families in need of expert help. They offer individual sessions for behavior and socialization issues, and organize enrichment experiences like brain games, scent mats, and sensory toys — all in a park that feels like doggy Disneyland — plus specially designed walks for reactive dogs who need calm environments without crowds. It's all about helping dogs live better. And, of course, their humans too.

Trinny Woodall, 61, displays her impressive abs in skintight matching gym set as she hosts a yoga session with fans

Trinny Woodall displayed her impressive abs as she lead a yoga session with her fans on Tuesday. The What Not To Wear star, 61, proved age is just a number as she showed off her toned torso on social media. Trinny took to her Instagram Story of Tuesday to share she was about to go live on YouTube with a yoga class for her followers to join in on. She announced the class sporting a skintight matching gym set in a grey crocodile print, consisting of a strappy sports bra and high-waisted leggings. In the clip, Trinny said: 'Good morning all, sorry for the lateness. Once a month I do Australian telly and it doesn't end until 12, so I just overslept. 'Anyway Victoria's here and we're going to do a sort of half an hour yoga session of just waking up your body and getting ready for the day. So join us on YouTube now.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It comes after Trinny opened up about her struggle with her weight, admitting that the pounds fall off her too easily. Also taking to Instagram, she shared that she now focuses on getting enough protein in her diet after losing 4kg from an illness. She said: 'I'm not one to talk about weight because for me it's about strength and definitely the maintenance of protein as you go down the path of life. 'But today I am I have always had a high metabolism and I have always been what some people might define as thin. 'What I don't love is when I lose weight especially after being ill and I can lose it quickly - what I notice is the change in my body.' Trinny added: 'Muscle needs daily protein and muscle keeps my bones protected - it gives structure to my skin and it gives me physical and mental strength. 'It is harder as you get older to maintain muscle mass, but it is so important.' So in a bid to keep her body looking its best, she has recently doubled her protein intake. Trinny took to her Instagram Story of Tuesday to share she was about to go live on YouTube with a yoga class for her followers to join in on Trinny joked: 'I don't want to be in a bikini with a saggy a**e. I'm just going admit that one. 'But most importantly when i get sick and lose weight it makes me feel so so vulnerable to not being strong in myself and how when I am physically strong it gives me such a mental strength. 'Ask yourself are you taking enough protein every day? You should really take double the kilos that you weigh especially as you reach menopause and beyond... Sometimes that's really challenging.' Trinny openly talks about some of the health benefits she buys into as the reason she looks so good into her 60s - including regular workouts and consistent skincare. She most recently revealed the secrets behind her noticeably radiant complexion after what she describes as a 'very stressful' few months. Trinny, the powerhouse creator of beauty brand Trinny London, has seen her business skyrocket over the past few years with a rapidly growing following. Torn between her many commitments, she was starting to really feel - and see - the impact of her hectic schedule. Until she discovered her unexpected love for daily meditation - something she admits 'wasn't for her' but now describes as 'profound'. She told FEMAIL: 'I lead quite a stressed life and I was realising that stress, medically, is a really sh**ty place to get to for your body. It just is. It will affect you physically and medically. 'So I thought I would take control before I let stress affect my body in a negative way. 'I had two people come into my life and I noticed such a profound difference in how they were [after meditating]. One of them I thought had had a facelift, and the other was just so much easier to sit and chat to.' Inspired, Trinny started getting up half an hour earlier each morning and spend 20 minutes meditating with a mantra. She then finds time for a second 20-minute block in the afternoon - even if it's in the bathroom at her office. 'I've been doing it for four weeks now and I really feel a shift. When you're stressed, from an aesthetic perspective, it shows on your face,' she said.

I was called a ‘fat pig' at the gym by a small sausage energy bloke – I'm raging… and his response stunned me even more

A WOMAN who was fat shamed at the gym has admitted she was even more stunned by the man's response. Jade explained that she was getting her "steps in" on the treadmill when she was approached by another gymgoer. 2 2 "And he goes, 'you know if you walked a bit faster, you might lose a bit of weight '," Jade said in a video on her TikTok page. And when she asked if he was talking to her, the man replied: "Yeah, do I have to speak fat pig for you to understand?" Jade added that after the shocking incident, she realised her best response would have been to "oink" at him. Instead, she asked what gave him the "confidence" to talk to her like that, to which he "walked off and ignored me". She then told the staff at the gym, who "chucked him out", but questioned how "men have the audacity" to speak to women like that. "I hope he's embarrassed," Jade continued, admitting she'd had to get herself a doughnut afterwards. "I'm not embarrassed. I just carried on doing my thing!" "I was like, I'm just gonna get back on the treadmill," Jade, who is walking 60 miles in June to raise money for the Young Minds Trust, continued. "Not that it's ever okay to call someone fat but why are you especially calling them fat in an in an environment in which they are actively trying to be less fat? "Make it make sense!" I've been fat shamed my whole life but I don't cover up and I wear less clothes than ever before, I even teach yoga naked She concluded by calling him a "small sausage joker", before adding in the caption: "Just me and my doughnut getting fat shamed." People immediately raced to the comments section to have their say on the shocking behaviour, as one wrote: "Get his gym membership removed !! Report! Vile!" "Please if you have the energy follow this up with management to ensure he is not allowed back," another said. "This is absolutely vile behaviour." "I am shocked! What did the gym staff say when you complained?" a third asked. "They were so good, they went and spoke to him straightaway and asked him to leave," Jade replied. "They made sure I was okay as well and checked in again before I left." "Fat shaming someone who is actively working out at the gym is some low IQ behaviour," someone else pointed out. "Exactly why I won't use gyms, rather get fit in my living room," another agreed. "Ughhhhh men ruin this planet I swear!" someone else raged. As another wrote: "Some men just hate happy confident women. "As a bigger person on a weight loss journey who's had a similar experience, I always say well being fat ain't stopped me from getting f**ked!" "Gross behaviour," someone else raged. "No matter if your small wanting to build muscle or bigger wanting to lose weight, it takes guts to step into a gym and do something about it. "People like that are mostly confused by confident people who are secure in their own bodies, when they're insecure in theirs."

Alec Baldwin's wife Hilaria divides internet over 'strange' workout in HEELS

's second wife Hilaria brought back her 'sexy' yoga tutorials in full force last Friday. The 41-year-old mother-of-seven donned a pair of sparkly red pumps while showcasing her slim 5ft4in figure as she demonstrated the moving bridge yoga pose, which she renamed 'glute bridge.' 'Lay on back, knees bent, feet hips distance,' Hilaria (born Hillary Lynn Hayward-Thomas) instructed her 1M social media followers. 'Press into feet and lift hips up and lower them down. Three sets of 10! Heels optional OBVIOUSLY!' Baldwin clearly divided Instagram with user @debbiemerle commenting: 'You look strange wearing [heels] to do this.' 'This is weird,' Instagram user @sunisinmyeyes agreed. Instagram user @tobylyfe commented: 'But really heels? C'mon, LOL!' 'Absolutely heels,' Instagram user @carolyn_k_hartman joked with a laughing emoji. 'Otherwise it doesn't do anything.' Instagram user @mbk1979 wondered about the Wizard of Oz-inspired footwear: 'What in the [Dorothy] is happening?' 'The shoessssss!' Instagram user @biancahull.s wrote before quoting Glinda the Good Witch. '"You always had the power my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself."' The Boston-born culture vulture used to co-own the yoga studio chain Yoga Vida in New York City with Michael Patton, but it went dark in 2023 - three years after her Spanish scandal which she claimed was due to her ADHD and dyslexia. On June 17, Hilaria and Alec will celebrate the 10th birthday of their son Rafael immediately followed by their 13th wedding anniversary on June 30. The Baldwins enlist two nannies to help care for little Rafa as well as their daughter Carmen, 11; son Leonardo, 8; son Romeo, 7; daughter Marilu, 4; son Eduardo, 4; and daughter Ilaria, 2. The 66-year-old Oscar nominee is also grandfather to two-year-old granddaughter Holland through his eldest daughter Ireland from his seven-year marriage to ex-wife Kim Basinger, which acrimoniously ended in 2002. The inseparable couple have yet to hear from TLC about whether or not their reality show The Baldwins was renewed for season two following their dismally-reviewed first season. 'This is weird,' Instagram user @sunisinmyeyes agreed Instagram user @tobylyfe commented: 'But really heels? C'mon, LOL!' 'Absolutely heels,' Instagram user @carolyn_k_hartman joked with a laughing emoji. 'Otherwise it doesn't do anything' When asked by E! News on June 2 what his ideal Father's Day celebration was, Alec mused: 'I'd ride my bike to Virginia. I'll have a long time with fresh air.' Baldwin is looking forward to taking the entire summer off to spend quality time with family at his 10-acre $1.75M four-bedroom Amagansett home. 'I've worried about work for 40 years and I don't want to think about it for a couple of months,' the Here's the Thing podcaster told the Associated Press on June 2. 'I want to be with my wife and my kids. I mean, if I work great. I'm not, like, neurotic about it. You know what? I mean like it's tough. Right now, putting movies together is tough.' Alec will serve as a member on the short film jury at the eighth edition of the Filming Italy Sardegna festival, which runs June 19-22 on the island of Sardinia. In April, ABC announced they were replacing Baldwin with Martin Short as executive producer and host of their Match Game revival, which begins filming in Montreal this June and airs this summer. The native New Yorker hosted the $25K fill-in-the-blank panel game show, which originally debuted in 1962 on NBC, for five seasons spanning 2016-2021. Alec is looking forward to taking the entire summer off to spend quality time with family at his 10-acre $1.75M four-bedroom Amagansett home: 'I've worried about work for 40 years and I don't want to think about it for a couple of months' (pictured June 3) Last month, Alec's troubled film Rust only earned $26,831 at the box office - all of which will be donated to the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins' widower Matthew Hutchins and 12-year-old son Andros. Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter trial was dismissed July 12 after he denied ever pulling the trigger on the revolver that fired a single bullet into Rust director Joel Souza's arm and punctured the Ukrainian DP's chest killing her, at age 42, in 2021. On January 9, the three-time Emmy winner filed a civil lawsuit against the Rust case prosecutors, investigators, and commissioners for defamation and malicious prosecution and civil rights violations due to 'intentionally mishandling evidence.' Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was released from New Mexico Women's Correctional Facility on May 23 after serving 18 months for her involuntary manslaughter for her role in the shooting.
