Laura Anderson gives reason for leaving daughter behind on couples holiday
Love Island star Laura Anderson was 'hurt' about a backlash to her recent luxury holiday with boyfriend Clark, but the devoted single mum is unapologetic about taking time for herself Love Island star Laura Anderson snapped back at trolls last week who cruelly shamed her for going on her first child-free holiday with her sportsman boyfriend – and now a source claims the 36-year-old is feeling 'hurt' about the backlash she has received. Laura had kept fans up to date about her luxury Maldives holiday with her partner, Dundee player Clark Robertson, 31, sharing a series of stunning, loved-up snaps from their exotic getaway. But rather than be happy for her first holiday with the footballer, some fans decided to call out the single mum – who has previously posted her trips with her daughter, as well as sweet videos with her at home – for not bringing 21-month-old Bonnie along. Now, a source claims to OK! that the online backlash has been deeply unpleasan t for the mum-of-one – but she's doing her best not to let it get under her skin. 'Being heavily trolled has been upsetting for Laura, as it would be for anyone. In her eyes, it's bullying behaviour,' they claim. 'Much of it seems to come from women, and that hurts her – she's a strong, single mum and she feels women should be supporting other women not attacking them.' Laura shares her adorable tot Bonnie with her ex, Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy, who she met during her stint on Celebs Go Dating in 2022. The pair split a year into their relationship before Bonnie was born, with Gary, 43, publicly announcing their break-up just one day after Laura's announcement of her pregnancy. Laura was also criticised by some after revealing that the Maldives break had been gifted to her. One wrote, 'I don't understand society! I mean, I get why companies give free holidays like this to promote. 'But imagine if they allowed people who wouldn't normally experience these types of things and let them promote on social media. Like underpaid nurses, doctors, paramedics, firemen and the people that put out so much into society.' Others, however, were firmly in Laura's corner – pointing out that as an influencer, it was her job to promote companies to her 1.5m Instagram followers. One penned, 'It's called a PR stay. It's her job, she has over 1.5 million followers she is able to promote this to. It's how she earns a living.' Straight-talking Scot Laura swiftly hit back at the nasty online trolls who tried to guilt-trip her about her picture-perfect getaway, posting a video on social media where she more than set the record straight. 'Just to clarify, I do not feel guilty at all for holidaying without my child. Neither should you! Bonnie and I have holidayed together a lot and it's pretty obvious I'm a lone parent and look after her myself. l 100% deserve as many breaks as I see fit,' she said, clearly upset. 'I truly worry about the children of the women judging online and spreading hate. Spend your time reading your child a book instead of trolling me.' She added defiantly, 'I'm also not afraid to say I know l am an unbelievable mother, so your trolling doesn't affect me. It just makes me sad that my daughter is growing up in a world like this. I truly hope you heal.' The source goes on to claim, 'Laura doesn't feel she's done anything wrong – apart from having a good time on holiday with her boyfriend, and sharing her posts, like many of us do. 'She adores her daughter and is absolutely devoted to her. It's horrible for her to read these comments – but she's her own woman, she won't let it stop her living her life or let it destroy her happiness.' And the grass, as they say, is not always greener. Opening up last December, Laura – who was a runner-up on Love Island in 2018, bravely admitted, 'Single working mothers how do you do it? I'm so overwhelmed atm! I don't usually suffer from anxiety but my God I cannot sleep from worry and work is just getting on top of me. I know I'm lucky and I hate being that person who moans but my God there are not enough hours in the day. Trying to keep it together.' Cruel trolls and single mum struggles aside, things are looking good for Laura – who just weeks ago gave fans a sneak peek of her huge new home, with a vast garden and beautiful sea views. And, as for her love story with Clark, the pair seem to be going from strength to strength since going public with their romance last October. Opening up previously about how they first got together, Laura admitted, 'It's not very romantic, he messaged me online, I saw it about three years later and replied and here we are. It's nice, it's chilled, no drama, just simple. A good Scottish boy, I can't complain.' As Laura said in her recent Instagram Story, there will always be someone who is richer or doing better than you in life – 'whatever better is'. Be jealous if that's what you feel, she says, but 'don't judge that person because of it'.

Saturday's briefing: Liverpool agree club-record deal for Florian Wirtz
Liverpool agreed a club-record deal with Bayer Leverkusen for playmaker Florian Wirtz. The much-anticipated move could break the British record, with the Germany star set to join his former team-mate Jeremie Frimpong at Anfield. Elsewhere, Thomas Frank reacted to his move to Tottenham, while Matheus Cunha spoke of his desire to help turn around Manchester United's fortunes. Wirtz capture close Premier League champions Liverpool are set to pay up to £116million to sign Wirtz after Leverkusen finally settled on a fee. The Reds had two bids rejected, the last one of £113m, which would have seen £100m paid up front with performance-related add-ons, but have finally got the deal over the line. Liverpool will still pay an initial £100m – comfortably surpassing their own record outlay – but the performance-related add-ons, if achieved, would make it a potential British record. Liverpool's overall outlay could surpass the £115m Chelsea paid Brighton in 2023 for Moises Caicedo. Striker Darwin Nunez was the Reds' previous record signing in 2022, although they have not paid the full £85m as he has not met all the requirements for certain add-ons to be due. Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez is next on Liverpool's list, which could take their summer spending close to £200m. Frank gets to work We are delighted to announce the appointment of Thomas Frank as our new Head Coach on a contract that runs until 2028. Welcome, Thomas! 🤍 — Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) June 12, 2025 Tottenham are prepared to rival Manchester United for Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo this summer after the appointment of Frank, the PA news agency understands. Spurs announced former Brentford boss Frank as their new head coach on Thursday night on a three-year deal. One of Frank's first moves in charge could be to try and tempt Mbeumo to follow him across London. The Dane declared 'a big piece of my heart' would always remain at Brentford in an emotional message posted on their official website. 'The time has come for me to move on. But, even as I leave, I know I have left a big piece of my heart at Brentford, not just at the football club but with the community and, of course, the incredible and loyal supporters,' said Frank. 'I want to extend my profound gratitude to the club for giving me the chance to pursue my dreams and for everyone involved who made the journey such a memorable one.' Dream move for Cunha View this post on Instagram A post shared by Manchester United (@manchesterunited) Matheus Cunha is delighted to have joined his 'dream' team and determined to help Manchester United bounce back from their worst season in 51 years. The 20-time English champions are in the midst of a rebuild under Ruben Amorim, having limped home 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to fellow strugglers Tottenham. The Red Devils' issues did not deter Brazil international Cunha, who completed his eagerly-anticipated £62.5million switch from Wolves on Thursday. 'It is the most common phrase that you can say at this moment, but this is the dream come true,' he told MUTV. 'Maybe outside, I think maybe my decision, they don't understand. But when you have always dreamed to play here, it's easier to pick this decision. 'For me, no-one else is like United. Of course, I know it's been a hard season for everyone. I think my decision shows what this club is for me and what I believe this club can be.' Mikey eyes more silverware One player hoping to impress Frank is Spurs youngster Mikey Moore, but the teenager's immediate focus is ending an unforgettable breakthrough campaign with another European trophy. The highly-rated 17-year-old made 19 appearances in all competitions for his boyhood club, with five of those coming in the Europa League. The winger was on the bench for the final in Bilbao and three weeks on has more continental glory in his sights as England kick off their bid for Under-19 European Championship glory. 'It was a top experience – some of the best times of my life on that Wednesday night,' Moore told PA. 'Hopefully going on to win another medal and another trophy with these boys here would be a brilliant feeling and experience for everyone. 'There's some top players. We think we can go on and hopefully win the tournament. It's been a good little build-up but excited to get into the games now.' What's on today? The summer of fútbol kicks off tomorrow. 👊 Let's Dial In. ✨ — Inter Miami CF (@InterMiamiCF) June 13, 2025 The Club World Cup gets under way on Saturday night at the Hard Rock Stadium, with Inter Miami playing in their home city against Egyptians Al Ahly in Group A.

Brad Pitt unveils midlife-crisis makeover with girlfriend Ines de Ramon after shock family estrangement remark
Brad Pitt unveiled the latest evolution of his midlife-crisis style when he and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon were spotted out on a date night in New York City on Friday. The 61-year-old Oscar winner seemed to channel his Fight Club character Tyler Durden's sleazy style as he stepped out in a shiny lavender silk shirt that was left partially unbuttoned to reveal some chest hair. Brad held his 32-year-old girlfriend's hand as they were spotted exiting a building in Midtown Manhattan shortly after he was forced to deny that he was using her to promote his upcoming racing drama F1. The actor has been focused on his relationship and his new film in the wake of exclusive report on how he now believes that his relationship with some of the children he shares with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie is 'unfixable.' Brad lit up the night with his lustrous shirt, which complemented a lilac suit he wore earlier this week in Mexico City while promoting F1. It hung loosely on his fit frame, and he made sure not to tuck it too tightly. He stayed on theme with an eye-catching pair of casual black velvet pants and shiny black square-toed shoes. Despite it being the evening, Brad wore a pair of large metal-frame sunglasses that might have suited his outfits in Ocean's Eleven and its sequels, and he sported the same sleek buzzed haircut that he recently debuted. Although Brad was once known for mimicking the style of his girlfriends and wives, he doesn't appear to have the same kind of fashion connection to Ines, who wore a strikingly different — but still stylish — outfit. She had legs for days in a beige ruched minidress that hung off her shoulders and emphasized her hourglass figure. The brunette beauty complemented her dress with a beige quilted handbag and open-toe stiletto heels. Ines gripped brads hand tightly as they walked out of the building past a crowd of his fans pining for an autograph, with the Tree Of Life star taking the lead. Earlier on Friday, Brad was spotted in New York City in a striped mesh burgundy polo shirt with bright orange track pants. He paired it with amber-tinted aviator sunglasses, gray-and-yellow trainers and a gray suede Gucci duffel bag. Last month, while speaking with GQ, Brad was asked if he and Ines had chosen to make their public debut at the British Grand Prix in July 2024 in order to help promote his upcoming film F1. 'No, dude, it's not that calculated,' he responded. 'If you're living — oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you're living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve,' he said, before noting that he had spent most of his public life being scrutinized in the public eye. She had legs for days in a beige ruched minidress that hung off her shoulders and emphasized her hourglass figure Earlier this week, Brad and Ines were on the West Coast before heading down to Mexico to promote his film. The couple traveled up to Carmel, California, the seaside town where Clint Eastwood was once mayor, and a local gave the details on their trip to their coastal love nest. 'Brad and Ines sightings in Carmel are regular,' a local resident said. 'They hit the fancy restaurants and shop at boutiques like Tancredi & Morgen just like all the locals. Brad has been seen with a hat and sunglasses on at Nielsen Brothers Market. 'No one hassles celebrities here because the locals don't like to make a fuss, they think approaching a celebrity is classless,' they added. 'So Brad and Ines get their space.' In 2022, Brad purchased the historic D. L. James house in the area, which is known as 'Seaward.' The home, which was built in 1918, is believed to be the most expensive property to ever be sold in the area. Even as Brad attempts to move on with his new relationship and put his divorce from Angelina Jolie behind him, he has still be dogged by his broken relationship with their children: Maddox, 23; Pax, 21; Zahara, 20; Shiloh, 19; and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. The oldest two, his adopted sons Maddox and Pax, have been particularly vocal about their distaste for their father. Brad made surprising statements about his family in Mexico. Earlier this week, a source close to him told that he considers his relationship to his oldest children — Pax (L) and Maddox (R) to be unfixable; seen with Angelina Jolie and daughter Zahara in September But even his younger children have made their estrangement between them apparent by dropping his last name, either legally — as in the case of his daughter Shiloh — or informally, like his daughter Zahara, who has referred to herself since going to college only by her mother's last name. This week, in exclusive comments to a source close to Brad revealed why he sees his relationship with some of his children as 'unfixable' at this point. Although Brad is usually tight-lipped about his family, he made surprising comments this week about the importance of family at the F1 premiere in Mexico City. 'No matter the mistake, you just learn from [it] and move on,' he told ET. 'It'll lead to the next success.' The Oscar winner continued, 'When you get to my age, you realize how important it is to surround yourself with the people you love, the people that love you back. 'Friends, family, and that's it,' he stated. 'From there, we get to go make things. It's a pretty simple, I think, equation.' Brad and Angelina began dating after shooting the 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith together, and they tied the knot years later in 2014. But Jolie filed for divorce in 2016, just days after an infamous incident aboard a private plane in which she accused Brad of being physically and verbally abusive toward her and her children while intoxicated.
