
Saudi Coffee Festival in Rijal Almaa Captures Several Visitors
The second Saudi Coffee Festival in Rijal Almaa governorate has played a pivotal role in strengthening the Asir's region status as a major tourism and economic hub in the Kingdom, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Held under the auspicious of Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, governor of the Asir region and chairman of the Asir Development Authority, the four-day event captured the attention of several visitors. Saudi Coffee Festival in Rijal Almaa
The four-day event witnessed a great sale of 5,945 kg of coffee and more than SR380,000 ($101,300) in revenue.

Moreover, the event highlighted the participation of 38 exhibitors, including cottage industry families and artisans who showed exceptional talents in combining traditional farming techniques with modern agricultural technology.

Sayyad also noted that growing interest in coffee cultivation has promoted income levels and raised awareness of preserving this agricultural heritage.
In recent years, residents have redeveloped several old farms through the use of modern cultivation techniques.

Saudi Arabia, Netherlands Sign Agreements in Environmental, Agricultural Fields
Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands have signed multiple agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of environment, water, and agriculture. These agreements, involving both public and private sector entities from both countries, include investments totaling more than SAR 428 million. The funds will be directed toward developing and localizing advanced technologies in these critical sectors. The signings took place during the visit of Saudi Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al Mushaiti, to the Netherlands from June 10 to 12. A total of 27 agreements and MoUs were formalized in the presence of senior ministry officials and representatives from Saudi and Dutch organizations. In a candid conversation with Saudi Gazette, Omar Malabarey, newly appointed Country General Manager for Becton Dickinson in Saudi Arabia, shares his vision for the company's role in the Kingdom's fast-evolving healthcare sector. Q: Congratulations on your appointment as General Manager of BD in Saudi Arabia. Can you share your journey leading to this role and what it means to you? A: My journey in healthcare has been both dynamic and fulfilling. I graduated in Radiological Sciences from the University of Wales (UK)and began my career as a radiology technologist at a Military hospital in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Following a decade in public healthcare, I transitioned to the corporate sector, where I held several senior leadership roles in digital health services.
